Guest [Anonymous]
I disagree about the deep mix, its slower about 135 and is in a groovey house style with all the effects of the track very slowly built into the track. The deep Mix is a DJ's gem because the track fires out of nowhere for the last minute and can break up a set like magic, 8/10. The original BP empire is average but the rough cut is very powerfull, it has a pulse to it. I own a 12" with just the deep and rough cuts, roll us a giant is an amazing track though I think version of the 12 never hit NYC because i don't remember seeing it or i just was not paying any attention. anyway 8.5 for the rough cut. Guest My email...Noone cares anyway (S
Yeah. Good Ep. I don't really like the BP Empire:s but they are OK. Roll Us a Giant on the other hand is a killer. A must for every little addicted Mushi-person.
DeathPosture
Infected Mushroom - BP Empire Artist: Infected Mushroom Title: BP Empire Label: BNE Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. 07'37" BP Empire (Deep Mix) 02. 07'40" BP Empire (Original Mix) 03. 10'36" Roll Us A Giant Review: Well, I think we all know The Mushies new album BP Empire by now, and this was the EP that was released prior to that. #1 is pretty uninteresting for me. Actually it's one of the most boring IM tracks I have ever heard. I don't understand what the hell is deep about it?! Boring Mix would be more accurate! 2/10 for that. #2 we all know from the album. Pretty good, and pretty hard track. 6/10 for the original mix. #3 is the real gem of this EP. Roll Us A Giant is quite simply an AMAZING track, and it's a mystery why it's not on the album. It's a pretty long track and I believe that in different passages in the track, you can hear the sound-bits from both "The Gathering" and "Classical Mushroom". Well, not actual samples, just the same "mood" as on those albums! That's pretty cool. Oh yeah, and of course it has the famous quote: "Got any magic mushrooms? No, but I've got some dwarf mushies. It's gonna really blow your head off. Look at this. The last time I took it, I saw fairies for 3 days! Haha. Nicey nice - roll us a giant!". What a cool quote!. And NICEY NICE is exactly what I think of this track! Very good, and it gets a 9/10! Get this EP for Roll Us A Giant. It's worth it! Bom shankar! Guest OA
I like em all, Deep mix I think is better on more listens. Now i like it alot. BP empire is for the dance floor, and good on the floor too. Roll us a giant, is the best track here. Amazing. I think im the only person who dosent like The Kadifi track on thier LP. I think Roll us should have been there instead. Guest [Anonymous]
the original bpm pire and roll us a giant are killer, they went over well on the dancefloor, i'm not into the deep mix thing but it has some cool sounds at the end. 8/10 if its $5 for the two good tracks although one is on the album. Guest bjm
yeah the deep mix is pretty good but i don't listen to it much. the original starts out nice but i think loses it half way through. and then you get roll us a giant... a killer track with a huge finish and one of the best samples i've heard for a long time. this one definately should have been on the album. oh well, it's worth buying the ep to get it. Guest Stormbringer
I got a little disappointed when I first heard this record. The "Deep Mix" (4/10) isn´t that exciting really when you compare it to older stuff from Infected, and it´s way to minimal for the average Infected fan. The "Rough Mix" (7/10) is better with a nice metallic kick and those acidic Infected sounds we are used to. This is an average Infected Mushroom track and I really hope the album is stronger than this 12" (I haven´t heard the album yet). It´s a pity they didn´t include the "Roll Us A Giant" on this 12"
Basilisk
I don't know about this... maybe it's time to revisit the album. Edited April 3, 2006 by Basilisk
Guest smg
I kinda hate new mushies style, B.P.Emp (original mix) is best track for ages by mushies, 8/10 for it, Roll us a giant... that one really doesn't light me up, but is kinda cool anyway, 7/10 for this EP in total. First track (deep mix) sucks donkey balls, slow and *boring*...
Guest [Anonymous]
i must agree its not my style bring back the mushies of old i think these guys have just got to stuck on everything having a its place in their tracks now not enough of that free spirit we hear in the gatherering roll us a giant isnt bad its just not their best

Guest Psy Wasp
Roll us a giant Wow i heard this track at Amager bio in Denmark when infected mushroom played there. this is a awesome track , and it was 10 x sweeter live. But its still awesome to lisson too. B.P Empire is a ok track but "Roll us a giant" is the Pearl here..
Manuser
oh well Roll us a giant is an obscure gem from IM. This track seems to be hardly known, it was only released on this EP... but yeah I just love the atmosphere of this track, this is a perfect transition from Classical mushroom/Gathering to BP empire album. Too bad they didn't include this track in the album
