Guest Acidhive
MOS - Bug Artist: MOS Title: Bug Label: Velvet Inc Date: 1999 Track listing: 01. 10'03" Bug 02. 09'57" Early Bird 03. 06'31" Outside 04. 07'45" Speaker People 05. 08'03" Unearth 06. 07'20" Live Tropical Fish 07. 08'19" Drive 08. 08'57" Anti Gravity Review: Well, another album full of dark And progressive goa. But with the MOS twist. A really good twist I must add, one that takes some time to get used to, but once you're absorbed by the great atmospheric, uplifting and dark sounds, you won't be dropping this one for a long time. MOS started with several numbers on compilations. Numbers that some people will know are for example: Click, Lunar Church, Xone, The Gates Of Karma and more... What's so good of this album is the building of the tracks. It has 3 moods. One of them is Psychedelic (2,5,7), one is Dark and moody (1,4,6,8) and one is ambient (3). To make a long story short, I like this album a lot. But hey, maybe Dark and Moody is really my style huh? :-) Anyway, 8/10 from me.

Guest russ
one of the best trance releases ever. every single track is a killer. depth, complexity, emotion, drive, it's all there. i have no idea why they went to such a simple, cold sound in their next album. such a disappointment. but this album... Good God! 10/10 for sure!!
Sideffect...
Mittelstandskinder Ohne Strom - Bug (1999) I couldn't appreciate this album, the first time I got it. Only when I invested in a good soundsystem the detail and perfection of this masterpiece occurred to me. Is this still goatrance or should we refer it as psytrance. I don't care, it's good. Bug is trance, but not uptempo at all. The concept contains tiny little sounds that smoothly come along with the baseline and create a huge level off psychedelic. Like insects, probably why they called this release Bug. Nevertheless it's still melodic and positive and that's what makes it so unique imo... I don't know if this should work on the dance floor but it hell does work on quality headphones. An decent journey and special in it's kind. All tracks are good but "Speaker people" is certainly my favorite. Discogs: http://www.discogs.c...ug/master/36783
Goa-Head
This album is quite good, when it was released the true goa sound was being farewelled, yet this album managed to pull it off just like if it was 1998 latest. Production is top notch and attention to the detail is amazing. Cover is also quite attractive. Still sells low so you can't go wrong. Starkraver
Cover is very nice. The CD looks very nice too with the bug on top. Good album. Worth giving a try. Goa-Head is right, it still sells low, so no harm in trying. For 5E you will have a cool CD and lovely artwork.
Trance2MoveU
Artist: M.O.S. Title: Bug Label: Velvet Inc. Date: August, 1999 1. Bug 2. Early Bird 3. Outside 4. Speaker People 5. Unearth 6. Live Tropical Fish 7. Drive 8. Anti Gravity I hate bugs. Especially spiders. That sh*t ain't natural. Even if it actually is, uh...natural. But this bug is something I can appreciate. I shall also echo what seems to be the prevailing attitude here that this is a wonderful album. If you are a goa-head or a psy-head it needs to be in your collection. As people have mentioned it can be had on the cheap and what you get is superbly produced, dark and detailed psychedelic music. The title track is a nasty bit of goa business with loads of electric layers. Halfway through I was tempted to write off Early Bird as a linear psy track, but man it just kept evolving into creepy, thumping, insectoid goa! Great headphones are a must to wring every detail out of this work. It's incredibly lush and I actually turned around thinking someone was in my house when the voices from Outside appeared. Unearth is a good old school goa monster and Live Tropical Fish is a great progressive goa track that just continues to build. This one should not be missed.
