Guest pfac[at]hotmail[dot]com
Astral Projection Vs Trilithon - Burning Up Artist: Astral Projection Vs Trilithon Title: Burning Up Label: Oval Date: 2000 Track listing: 01. 03'38" Burning Up (Radio Edit) 02. 08'09" Burning Up (Main Mix) 03. 08'08" Burning Up (Voxless Mix) Review: I think that artists are not suposed to stick to only one type of music, since that limits their creativity. Astral did a fine job here, being Goa or not. In my humble opinion, trance is trance, Goa or otherwise. This is just a nice change in their style. Congratulations. Keep up the good work. Guest HiGen
I agree, this was a BIG FUCKINGS SETBACK for astral, i love them, worship them, but when i heard burning up.. it wasnt astral, okay, for a cheeeeezzzy euro trance tracks, it had quality, but it wasnt astral... i bet my pants that it was their manager that forced them to make it, because they had been so in effective, but goa comes from the hart and was not made for the money, it was made for the people, the joy and happiness, like in the mix release.. it was just a big reproduction, but you all will see... THE WILL BE BACK!! (4/10 burning up)
Guest pommie
Who said this was gonna be goa in the first place? When i first heard of this track i knew i needed to have it (AP and Trilithon both rule) but i didn't know what to expect... and i was totally blown away. This isn't goa, but it has the thick, swirly Astral Projection mixing and the raw, square power of Trilithon blended together to create what i consider to be one of the most beautiful trance tracks ever created. I do hope Astral Projection will keep exploring new territory since there are loads of able producers out there who can create beautiful goa, but this kind of work requires something else... something more. 10/10! Guest huk[at]streetsofperth[dot]com[do
I've been an AP fan for over 4 years now - and this track is a refreshing expression of AP's passion through sound... it does have that "Club Feel" though tops any trance I've heard in clubs - it has a consistent quality and high uplifting vibe... it oozes passion and the melody lines evoke much more than just a dance groove... as with all AP tracks you can feel what these guys put into their music... -O)
Guest ConText
Is it not just possible that astral projection wants to produce something more then just goa? Lot's of artists search different genres and makes songs with different style. This track is a croud pleaser. Nothing less.
Guest [Anonymous]
WOW! First of all, I'm a hardcore old skool Goa fan and Astral Projection has always been on the top of my list. I first heard about this track from a friend who is more of a melodic trance fan and i was absolutely blown away. To me, there is no doubt that in whatever endeavor Astral Projection sets themselves into, the results are going to be unbelievable!! I must agree that this track isn't for the hardcore goa purist (as i thought i was), but it still beats the other melodic trance artists at their own game! I know it's easy to believe that AP has "sold out" by making a "commercial" trance classic but they are human beings, as hard as it is to believe. Maybe after making Goa for 11 years was starting to get a BIT tedious!! Whatever style they find themselves in, I'll be by their side smiling and dancing! Namaste!!
