Guest strou[at]mail[dot]tele[dot]dk
Three Point Turn - By Any Means Necessary Artist: Three Point Turn Title: By Any Means Necessary Label: Hadshot Date: 2000 Track listing: 01. 06'28" Recycle Or Die 02. 07'25" Placebo 03. 06'32" Make It Happen 04. 06'31" Mallormak 05. 06'12" The Order Of Things 06. 06'15" By Any Means Necessary 07. 06'32" Rapid Transit 08. 06'22" The Dobberman 09. 06'34" Paris Parano 10. 06'19" Kamouflage 11. 06'17" Dissolution Review: The debut album here from the two french guys in 3. Turn(DJ Vikara And Lou Maxmizer). This album features 11 nice tracks which is kind of unusual for a psychedelic release. They have been on a couple of comps before this album and I've also heard the Paris Parano/Kamouflage single, but this album dissapoints me a little bit. I'm a big fan of French music but this time it's not as good as expected. The album has lots of great tracks on it of course and no doubt that lots of people will like this. I think if you're a Deedrah fan you will like this. Overall I'll give it 6/10.
Guest a_ozi
Some of the best percussion in the business on this release... with some pretty tasty and minimal psychedelia sitting on top. Havent totally got the head around this release yet but faves @ this point are 3, 6, 9, 11 with nothing on the cd that makes me fastforward. Guest Seb Mullaert
My God this is beautiful!!!! This release is a really good example that trance music are developing. Three point turn have a unique sound. Sometimes you can't say if it's trance or if it's techno and I love when a track or even more great a whole record is hard to place in the categories that we have made. All the tracks on this album are hard and dark but they don't lack in feelings (that many minimal tracks today lack). Only one bad thing about this album, to many stop and go !!!!! All the tracks exept number 7 (rapid transmit) are my favorites. Three point turn are my absolute favorite among all the french artists and this album is the best (so far) this year. 9/10 Seb

Guest AlexG
I like this style, but only when it's done good, and these guys definately do it good. this is not easy listening, and most of the time it will even get you bored, but for the night-time dancefloor it's perfect: nothing but raw power, hitting again, and again, and again, and again...and when you can't take it anymore, it's still hitting and forcing you to dance. this is pure body workout, nothing for the mind, but who says body workout isn't good? it's like good sex Vs a good relationship: both are good in their own way...well, maybe that isn't a very good analogy, but i'd take this stuff over something like mystica, mindwarped, or dimension 5 any day. no offence to those bands, but this stuff is just so much higher in quality: pure perfection! of course, when real trance is done at this quality level, it can take you places much much farther, but i still like this genre and the concept of what it's trying to do, which is far too complex to describe here, but hopefully one day you too will understand it and see the beauty and depth of minimal music...just listen and it will come! Guest Pit-UFO
This album is really amazing it has an amazing amount of energy on every track. Pumping beats, crazy samples and sequences and is really fun. Very DJ oriented. If you are still in love with Astral Frustration, Hallucinogen or the Mushies then you are not ready for this one. Forget the spiritual shit of goa music and start messing with the beat. This is really a piece of the future. More like this please. 9/
max
Very good CD...Especially "the order of things"...Only drawback...it's really bad they did this horrible sound at the beginning of this track...I lost almost 50% of my ears perception. My ears still hurts today.

Guest trezz_shakt[at]hotmail[dot]com
3 Point Turn have produced a Pretty Good Album. Track 1 "Recycle or Die", is an average minimal track, with some typical dark sounds and noises, not bad for an oppening track. Track 2 "Placebo", is an excellent track, with great percussion work, Great for the dance floor. Track 3 "Make it Happen", starts with a cool break-beat sample, and then drums kick in. Unfortunatly, this track does not develope into muck more. Tracks 4 and 5 sound like Midi MilizSpirralinz tracks, so I don't need to explain them to you. Track 6 "By any means Necessary", is an awsome track. Strong bass and percussions, plus a few powerfull industrial sound, sounds a little bit like Skazi. Track 7 "Rapid Transit" is not really psytrance or minimal trance. It is more like Drum 'n' Bass, with a very fast pase ( This is a weird track ). Track 8 "The Dobberman" is another average minimal track, nothing special about this one. Track 9 "Paris Parano" is an excellent Downtempo track. This track has many influences, Drum n Bass, Break beat and minimalistic, Very Groovey. Track 10 "Kamouflage" starts out as a regular minimal tune, quite good but nothing special. But after 03:20, this track becomes realy "Happy", with some nice snares and Hi-Hats. Track 11 "Dissoltion" is the last track on the album. This is a good track to end the album with. It is downtempo but still quite heavy on percussions and dark sounds. So, I say that this is a good album by "3 Point Turn". It has a minimalistic style with excellent percussion work and some dark twisted sounds. This is very good for dancing, and it sounds great on some large JBL Speakers. The problem with this album, is that it repeats itself. But still, a good album, I give it 7/10...
