Children
Xenomorph - Cassandra's Nightmare Artist: Xenomorph Title: Cassandra's Nightmare Label: Koyote Date: 1998 Track listing: 01. 07'57" Necroid Millenium 02. 09'15" Hallucinatory Spheres 03. 09'39" Abominations 04. 09'49" Torrent Of Insanity 05. 07'16" Acid For Blood 06. 09'22" Obscure Spectre 07. 07'45" Apocalyptic Ritual 08. 08'27" Cassandra's Nightmare Review: Well I don't like this CD ... There are good moments, but this CD really sounds old and isn't really melodious ... Anyway the last 3 minutes of Track 3 are really interesting ... one of the rare moments of inspiration on this CD ... its style is quite similar to UX album ... Rating : 2.5/
Guest gizmo
Well, my opinion is different. I think it's very good And original production. Very acid and dark trance (real goa core) Lot of screams, painful crying, like soundtrack to the horrorfilm. I don't think it's similar to something. This album has its own style. Best tracks 3,5-8. It's not melodic album, but also it's not empty minimalistic style. Rating 7/
Guest Cnt97
One of the first darkest psytrance albums I heard... I'd love to hear the Xenomorph vs HuxFlux work (Xenoflux or Huxmorph I think they call themselfs ) ..

Guest ChrisdeeACiD
Only heard Obscure Spectre, ACiD for BlooD and Cassandras... hmm.. It's just amazing! Obscure Spectre begins sooo great with that light bassdrumm together with some spooky clear sounds to it and the bassdrumm in ACiD For BlooD including the speed through the whole song kicks ass! DAMN I wAnT ThiS AlBuM! cant't get it anywhere here in Sweden
Guest Acidhive
Xenomorph kicks ass! This huy knows his shit (and movies... haha) Almost all of the samples are from Horror Movies, like the screaming in Obscure Spectre, which was taken from Hellraiser 2 : Hellbound! Beginning of the Obscure Spectre track is a sample of one of the series of Millennium, you know that mystery series with Lance Henriksen as the main character. Other samples are also from horror movies. Mix it with the really acidic style of Xenomorph itself and you create the scariest Goa trance ever to hit your eardrums. I've never heard an album which could scare someone, but this one can!! I absolutely love it and will memorize the day I bought this forever! 9/10 from me. Guest OveGrov
Well well, much already said. But i'll just repeat and add a few things. First of all is this album wery dark and "scary". Sitting hear in front of the laptop and enjoying it right now in my beloved CanMan headphones. Now to the Review: Nr 1: Very soft ambient with crazy sound but also very relaxing and minimalistic in the melodies. One of the bader songs on the album.(6,5/10) Nr 2: Now we're talking Xenomorph! First I must say I just LOOVE the intro in this song. There are much more scarymovie-themes look-a-like melodies. and on top of this a very powerful kickdrum.. Shit, fucking creepy. ;)Good one! (7/10) Nr 3: Well well, great bassline here, veey soft and plesant to listen to. The Kickdrum is Rock-HARD! Listen at 5.40 and just enjoy the drummix, goood, goosebums in 2 seconds! Just love the sounds in the backround, so far from annoying as you can get. LISTEN TO IT! (9/10) Nr 4: Start with a flickery kickdrum in the backround, but what happens after that? the melody gets annoying and sounds a bit false. The song has no character, it keeps on changing. Well, i like the drum in the end, the same one as in "Acid for blood". (5/10)
Guest OveGrov
Nr 5: Oh my god!!! what a killer track! The track alone is worth buying the album. Nice "Aliens" samples and the moans are everywere!! Aaah..Not to mension the melody who makes you wanna TRIP! (10/10) Nr 6: Well well, the first singel, the only singel? Na not really if you count the two other songs on the Horror-Trip E.P Great track, I think everybody know how it sounds so I'm not gonna waste my time on a review. (9/10) Nr 7: One of the better track surely! Love the melody and the "Astral Projection"-sounds. Love the intro in this song to. The hi-hat kicks ass as well as the bassdrum. Xenomorph has got the taste of laying a xtra drum on half of the total drums?! That sounded wicked, fuck it. The Song's is great except the sample in the middle of the tune. Don't like it at all. Although, the song kicks ass. (8/10) Nr 8: Xenomorph (in abient spirit) when hes on fire! Very nice and intelligent, weird sounds who turn my head upside down when I'm about to sleep. Sounds like he wanted to give us a nice and well worked out finish. Great job Xenomorph! Cd Overall (9/10)
Guest AlexG
umm...not really! an ok album, sounds scary at first (because of all the screams and samples), but after a few listens you start realizing how simple it is. the simplicity of the sound is righ in your face, and it's just too annoying. musicwise, this is not scary at all. remove those horror movie samples, and what you've got left is very melodic goa trance, almost nitzhonot in parts. the sounds are also very plain and uninteresting. it's half-baked, eh? =) not even close to i.m.'s "the gathering", or especially delta (now that's what i call scary!) Guest redeye103[at]hotmail[dot]com
This album in my opinion is absolutely groundbreaking. First of all the downright horror element to this,is to my knowledge, the first to try to scare the living shit out of you. Secondly, even if you ignore the vocal samples, the sounds on it perfectly complement the mood of the album and,in typical Koyote fashion,is among the top produced and released albums in this genre. I give this album a 10!!! Also can't wait for the new one.

Guest dusk[at]costaricarave[dot]com
One of the best bands out there, scary, dark, hard, and full on at the dance floor it just doesn´t get better than this. This band made the best track I ever heard in my life "KILLER STATE", it really can´t get better than that XENEMORPH rules........
Guest manicmagicmmushroomman[at]hotmai
Tracks 1,2,3,4. Fuck the rest, they're shit. These four tracks however are about as good as it gets. Be prepared to be scared/scarred...
Guest Ravemail10
Egh, blah. Silly. Screaming, screaming and more screaming. Doesn't leave much of an impression. It's not all that scary either. Try listening to "The Delta - Pop" all alone, at night, REALLY REALLY LOUD :-) The children start singing and then it gets scary :-) After The Delta this album sounds very silly. His new EP - "Gnomes & Hexenkessel" is much better. More serious, leaves a better effect. 6/10 - Cause there are some good tracks (track 5), the album is above average. I'm waiting for a second album, that should be nice. Bom! - Raven
Guest themad[at]usa[dot]net
Absolutely amazing! my favorite goa album ever, lots of weird trippy noises in this one. 10/
Guest ShivaShantii[at]hotmail[dot]com
I saw Xenomorph playng in portugal, and it's by far the darkest trance I ever heard. First time I heard was in the party, and it was on the Halloween, so he was really perfectly choosen for that ocasion. But in my opinion his a little too dark and his sound gives a little 'negative energies', wich is exactly what we don't want in psytrance. I never saw so much people freaking out has I saw in that party.

Guest [Anonymous]
Wanted this one for ages... Finally got it a few weeks back... the whole album lives up to the first track i heard by them... Obscure spectre on pulse 5, the most scary and evil psy trance can get... but not necessarily dark and bassy.... good album 8/

danz
2/10. I dissagree with InFeCted XeN. This album really is not good. Dark Soho is a hell of a lot better. The 4 reviews above the other 2 above mine are pretty harsh, and I wouldn't be so extreme, but whatever. To each his or her own. Xenomorph would not be anywhere near as known if it wasn't for their samples. It does create good atmosphere, but the songs are like a dark techno that sounds too simple and uninspired to be considered great. Thats my opinion anyway. ^^^
Guest PsyGoat
Can't say much but that I agree with InFecTed XeN, though I like Dark Sohos style better - But this one rulez a lot too....... Very Dark and Evil!! 8/
