Guest Baboon
V/A - Spiritual Antispetic / Clarity From The Deep Fog Artist: Various Title: Spiritual Antispetic / Clarity From The Deep Fog Label: Twisted Date: 1999 Track listing: 01. 08'48" Hallucinogen : Spiritual Antiseptic 02. 07'57" Prometheus Process : Clarity From The Deep Fog Review: This EP is pure Posford Stuff, really great tracks... allthough, I don´t really know who Promotheus is, if it is Simon as well or any other producer at Twisted... maybe any of you aliens out there know =) Anyway... The first track, Spiritual Aniseptic is... well what can I say... It´s for sure one of the best tracks from Hallucinogen in my opinion, his classical twisted tunes style with very nice melodies that I just can´t stop smilyn to when i hear them. Pure DanceADelic!! If you like Simons work and not have this track you should REALLY get it!!! 10/10 to this track! =) Track 2, from Promotheus is a bit darker, but still it has the Twisted touch with the cool tunes. This track is really good, it´s for sure a good track on the dance floor, hard beat. The nice "plinking" sounds that start about 4:30 into the track is really good, it developes into a great uplifting sound and beat wich I just love. 9/10 to this upliftin floorfiller. 10/10 to this EP, don´t have it ?? GET IT !!!
Guest epimeth[at]frisurf[dot]no
Prometheus Process is a collaboration between Benji Vaughan (Prometheus) and Sean Williams (Process). I don't like the Hallucinogen tune that much comparing to Posfords previous and later tracks, but it got a few highlights in there and the guitar riffs goes pretty insane after a while The tune from Prometheus Process is just awesome. It got lots of wierd intense effects bouncing around. And the tune keeps building up all the time to an excellent synth riff towards the end. Overall....a very good ep, I'm a little disappointed over Posfords contribution to this ep, but the Prometheus Process track makes up for it. Basilisk
i'd say spiritual antiseptic is the most irritating track simon ever did it just rubs me the wrong way... i've seen this in the stores many times and i've never been able to buy it... a little too choppy on the percussion i guess. The above is my original review. quoted for posterity (and amusement). My, how time changes opinions. I don't even think it was very long after that I realized how brilliant this track is... in fact, I know that to be true, because I remember playing it out at a summer festival in 2001, sunday morning. This is a great old vinyl, one of the best from Twisted!
Guest TRISTAN
Spiritual Antiseptic is prolly the greatest complex masterpiece Simon ever done. 10/10 for the 1st track

Guest Astyanax
SPIRITUAL ANTISEPTIC.... oh my god, this really IS the best track EVER made!! They should ARREST people for not having this track!
Guest MG
It's good but not worth not getting arrested for!(Dd that make sense?) What I love about Spiritual Antiseptic, the B-Side & Spawn is that they sound like they are jamming on these tracks rather than being sequenced, I can almost imagine 5 guys in a garage with different synths making weird noises laughing & feeding off each other! Classic Morning Stuff
Guest Mindbender
I came to read this, and found to my surprise that I hadn't reviwed it yet. Surprised, cuz this has my most listened to track... Clarity From Deep Fog. If I would have to describe my taste in music with one track, this would be it. I love: the beat; the bass, which has some DnB influences; the crazy sounds and the surroundings they make; the beautiful and yet psychedelic melodies and the sounds they are made with; the way the track is built, really having character, literally becoming clearer and more melodic from a deep fog of psychedelic sounds, all the time driving higher and harder... This is insane and beautiful, still hard and storming. Awesome to dance to. aaAAAAaAaAHHhhhh. Then there is also the Hallucinogen track. This track is not one of the best from my favourite artist, but all the same, very good. Actually, that would be very, very good indeed. More a morning track this time, with uplifting melodies. It just really shows how good work Sean Williams and Benji Vaughan did here that their track steals the show from a very, very good Simon track. 10/10, this is beyond perfect! Guest cidprostudio[at]aol[dot]com
Both Tracks are beauties. Spiritual Antiseptic's got that floating sound where he just lifts you up and flying with the music. I believe that's what simon is really known for, as you hear it in a few other tracks of his (the end of demention). Clarity from deep fog is also a great track with some nice effects. Both songs have great effect. simon's track is probably one of the best hallucinogen songs ever written. 10/
lysergic
spiritual antiseptic is good, agressive sounding and powerful.. but really isnt one of my favourite tracks from hallucinogen, it sounds a bit scratchy and rough. but i really really like clarity from deep fog, this track is real trippy, bouncy psytrance. a real mind bender with crystal clear production. 8/10 (and the sleeve looks kick ass! thats how i like psy covers to be )
Guest lauri
Hmmm.... Spiritual antiseptic is very nice, especially the part where the guitar and some adiitional percussions kick in, it`s rock`n roll! The prometheus track...well it`s very powerful, but contains ugly fx...not my cup of tea
