Guest ArchNemesis
That Kang or whatever is seriously fucked up. Monotnic is extremely nice when played in a club. Just try it. Astral Projection is good, but they have been in the game for a long time now, and THEY DONT CHANGE AT ALL! Mushroom changes a lot. Just hear the first album to this one. Incredible. Classical music & Deep Trance. I never thought it possible. I give 8/10. ( and then a personal plea to erez & duvdev, come and do a concert in denmark again. Guest Diepeveen
I like both Infected albums, but i preffer this one! Best tracks... All of them, they are all outstanding... If i have to mention one, it must be "Bust A Move" What a trip i had to that track! Some of the best made... ever! - 9.99/
Guest gambler FEX online
It seems, these boys have just followed their feelings and made music the way the like it. Not thinking about surprising people that has listened to so much trance/psytrance they can forsee every beat in a new song or trying to follow a certain style. Â Great stuff, the gathering and classical mushroom is my two most favourite albums. I search for all the infected mushroom songs, and I like most of them real good! like baby killer, blues brothers, power of celtics remix, etc. Â fresh and happy stuff makes me feel good thank you

Guest Antic
I have to agree to some extent with Kang and some other guys! This CD and The Gathering are overrated! I don't say they're bad or anything like this, but this music can not be compared to Hallucinogen, Cosmosis, Etnica/Pleiadians though it's better than AP This IS original and fresh and already made progress in psy-trance (check out some of tunes from DarkSoho album!) but it's not THE BEST psy-trance act! They definitely are creative and bold to mix hard beats and classic music, but that's not enough. Their songs are really simple, monotonic in style and one can hear that their sound is not quite grown-up yet! They ruin good tracks putting in it some stupid sample, cheesy melody or the whole song sounds popish (The Shen, Disco Mushroom, stupid strings at the end of Nothing Comes Easy are best examples) and the arrangement is somethimes very poor (Mush Mushi - this could have been so much better!). It's not enough that mastering is clean, there's many acid sounds and twisting - with todays equipement anybody (well, almost:) can do this. So, my rating is only 7/10, but I strongly recommend this CD to anyone - not the best, but still very good!
Guest Davidtolsn
too much cheese. the gathering is better. still very good though. 9/
Guest phase418[at]hotmail[dot]com
HIGHLY OVERATED! A minor, yet interesting new sound in psy-trance. An original for sure, but sometimes there are awful, untasteful samples - and BAD, cringing sounds. Yes, this is novel and a mind-blowing sound - but I'm just not in the mood for it often. It reminds me of the Pink Floyd movie "The Wall". It's brilliant and psychedelic no doubt, but I'm RARELY IN THE MOOD to digest it. IM can be flamboyant, chaotic music. Another rough comparison is the psy-pop-breaks group "Lords of Acid". Sure, that stuff is mind blowing if you eat L and listen with interest - but it's also stupid and harsh if you aren't in the mood. With infected mushroom, I'm usually not in the mood to go through all the noise and cheese to get to the nice trance in CAN definately induce. There are other groups making harmonius, more tasteful, beautiful, GOA vibe trance. No cheese please! Â 8/10 for original ideas and trance effectiveness 4/10 for asthetics and taste
Guest Raven in defense of the best psy
NOT overrated. ORIGINAL. If you have your head up your ass and just can't get over 'Radio' you won't like this (not that I don't like 'Radio' cause I very much do). That this does not vary when every single track is completely different is the most rediculous thing I've heard. Review above - can't tell you anything about the mood, you might not be in the mood to listen to any cd and not just IM. But is this tasteless? When people say this is tasteless it reminds me how a lot of people called Picasso tasteless - original but tasteless. Cubes are not pictures they said. Fat nudism is not art they said. How much is a Picasso worth today? Infected Mushroom is a random bunch of electronic farts they said. I rest my case
Guest Kuk
This album is just for listening.. not dancing.... but The gathering its better
Guest angelfault[at]aol[dot]com
Incredible! This album bridges innovative chord changes, psychedelic samples, and chaotic syncopation to make totally unique psy/goa music. Where i live trance isnt very popular, well psytrance for that matter. Im from the USA where everyone listens to pop-ish shit like boybands, rap-rock, and house. I love psychedelic trance, since i bought a blue room compilation 2 years ago. Well needless to say, i played the gathering and c.m. in my car for some friends. Everyone loved it, my favorite tracks are probably the shen and dracul. Dracul is something i could listen to playing dragon warrior 1 on acid. Its not just beats and samples people, its very complex music. Almost like debussy or bach, with psych and elec. influence. Im trying to find vinyls of it around, if anyone is selling any or knows of a really good place to buy it. I bought the cd's from psyshop.com. Oh another IM thing! I bought the tsunami goa compilation a month ago, AWESOME. IM is on there in a track called symphonatic, it kicks it! All of the other songs rock too, track 1 is x-dream i believe, it rocks too. I have hux flux, and logic bomb too. Email me and educate me about other artists as good as IM, because ive only found a few.

Guest Zodiac[at]goatrance[dot]com
Infected mushroom does it again...they cant fail. I have never heard something bad from them...but this is anyway a little bit weaker than their first album "the gathering" I must say...And if you like Infected mushroom, then check out for Cat on mushroom(Infected mushroom vs. Space Cat)...They are fuckin awesome together...But I give this cd a 9/10...Dont miss it... Guest [Anonymous]
I loved it! It got me into trance. My friend introduced me to the group, and I got all of their songs. Guest flurofrog[at]hotmail[dot]com
Symphonic, eerie, psychotic, uplifting...this album sets the standard for psy-trance, nay all electronic music for the new millenium. Classical reminds me of what Arthur C Clarke once wrote:'an advanced enough technology is indistinguishable from magic' - this is a work of genius bordering on madness, that almost defies explanation. I don't like to admit it but I think the quality of the production, the imaginative melodies, twisted syncopation, haunting epic sampling, numbing bass lines and orchestral atmosphere leave Simon Posford's and Raja Ram's Shpongle at second best. When I got this album I also bought Tandu's Multimoods which by most accounts is a good album - but after hearing Classical I couldn't listen to it - it sounded sooo one-dimensional, hollow, unimaginative. This album has beautiful depth but manages to create songs which are pounding ecstatic dance tracks too. Get it. It will be seen as an icon of 21st Century psy-trance in years to come. Yuore hunted in the woods. Over all. Great CD 8/

Guest M[at]zzive
too cheese, but oh well they're from Israel maybe that would be a reason, I've been listening all this tracks in partyes over and over for about 1 year now so I'm tired of this crap, maybe in it's moment was innovative but now this kind of sound it's not what I expect in a party, I'm dj and I must admit that I used to like this crap a lot almost 1 or 2 years ago when they released The Gathering and then this one, but trance has moved into many different directions and now this sounds too overloaded, I feel like listening kindergarden songs, too melodic and some tracks, almost all of them, are too annoying for listening at home or even in a party. This is the same old fashioned goa with some new experiments nothing really great, it wouldn't be bad if these guys could get out of Israel and have an idea of how much the trance scene has been changed around the world ans start producing something REALLY new and interesting.
