Guest Lauri
...I too had mixed feelings about this single. I don`t see the benefits of this more progressive style,, which IMO compared to haltya, is pretty boring. Allmost all of the stuff which i have heard in this vein, things like 12 moons, S-Range... oh the horror the horror. Monotonous ProgressiveMorning trance 6/
Basilisk
Its good on CD but the vinyl is somewhat frivolous.
Guest smg
I personally adore s-range though, and I don't find much resemblance here... s-range is smooth.
Guest mikko.itkonen[at]kolumbus[dot]fi
Highpersonic Whomen - Clone Collective Artist: Highpersonic Whomen Title: Clone Collective Label: Thirteen Productions Date: 2002 Track listing: 01. 07'22" Clone Collective 02. 08'15" Space Elevator Review: First of all I'd like to thank Thirteen productions, and especially DJ Jean-Peter who provided me with this promo. This maxie will be released soon and be sure to get one from their shop Recreational @ Albertinkatu 28, Helsinki / Finland. People have finally been promising something new in style from the finnish scene, and this is it. This is not anymore that "finnish-madness" style, but instead the sound that has been known more widely around the world, actually sounds more darker and fatter israeli style, but I know it's far from it. Gives me mixed feelings. Frankly, if I would hear this EP somewhere, I really wouldn't think it's finnish, there's no single thing that reminds me of it. Group members are Frank Further and Justin Space, lol! - also known as Haltya project. A-side, Clone collective (145) is the better track here in my opinion. It has nice gnorly effects, and swirling swooshies panning all the way. Somehow I feel likethat this track doesn't vary enough... although the fact is that it varies quite alot, at least the effects. Maybe hihats and bass are too straight forward, and I don't quite catch the flow. Kick is hardthumping morning style. But the bass leaves me hoping for something more suitable to the rest of the track. Pretty good anyway, 8/10. Flipside offers us a tad slower (142) track. I don't really catch anything special here either, although it flows quite nicely in the midway. Ah shit, I can't really find words, but this really isn't bad track either. 7/10 This stuff overall really is something new in finnish style, but is this what we desperately need? I think not, as we have heard this sound already. This is somewhat different, but still. It doesn't really fail in any way, so I can recommend buying this 12" by any means as soon as it hits the stores. You may like it very much, if you're into this kind of psy! Waiting for Hypersonix album to be released, maybe it offers new interesting styles or old finnish madness bom!
Guest re_psycle[at]yahoo[dot]com
big dissapointment from this talented duo! (pelinpala & outolintu) definately a big step away from the usual freaky mayhem we have come to expect from their other projects, but i guess thats the point. smooth and psychedelic. Guest frank further
please do NOT compare highpersonic and haltya! they are two different projects aimed at different audiences. the first is psygressive doof the latter more funky experi-mentalism. listen to them, find YOUR choice and enjoy. =everybody is happy : )
shahar@isratrance
Though the info sheet claims this is as far from the usual Finnish music as ET?s home is from Earth, I can still detect the Finnishness inside. Basically we have here a moving psychedelic blend of progressive and full on stomps, or if you want, the Finnish version of the progressive side of things.. The A side, Clone Collective, is fast, loaded, psychedelic and crunchy, a lot happening all the time around your head and inside it, but always in a small scale. All that on top of a real happy bouncing rhythm. Excellent acidic morning tune. On the B side, Space Elevator offers happy groovy rhythms and a lot of flying sounds topped with subtle sneaky melodies. Easier for the mind with more feel to it. Bottom Line: excellent psychedelic pieces to groove a morning dancefloor- groove for the butt, work for the mind.

Guest Tuubi keisari
The first serrious piece of music to come out of Finland - ever. Nothing more to be said about that. it´s the first progressive/psy trance from Finland setting a landmark - setting the standard for Finnish trance music. I serriously hope this will not be the last release from these guys and hopefully more people in Finland will start to make "real" music. Afterall, you can allways go back making funny littel tweeky sounds if that doesn´t work.
