Guest Skytrancer
Kailum - Confusion Artist: Kailum Title: Confusion Label: Krembo Date: 2000 Track listing: 01. 08'28" No Surprise 02. 07'09" Dig (Rmx) 03. 07'33" Higher Places 04. 09'17" Digital Anarchy 05. 08'05" Intellect Ride 06. 09'00" Don't Try 07. 10'07" Fight Or Flight 08. 07'57" Green And Yellow Review: Kailum is Dave Saragosi (Psysex member), he realized his first album. The opening is a little too repetitive. "Dig remix" is just melodious, a good atmosphere here. High places show us another time that Dave is very talented : please pay attention to the effects ! "Digital Anarchy" is a nice track, speed, very powerful ! "Intelect Ride" is strange, not my favourite here. "Don't Try": I don't like it very much. "Fight or Flight": the end is too long and the track ends with sounds I don't really appreciate ! "Green and Yellow": astonished, a great happy ending to this album, listen and dream ! Rate : 6,5 / 10 !
shahar@isratrance
Dave was never a Psysex member- he just made one track with Goblin released under the name Psysex. This CD rocks, it's diverse, everchanging, interesting and very creative. And the sound is very good, and if you consider what it was made with, even superb. Recommended. By the way , dave did "4 Days Of Madness" with DJ Goblin (psysex) and it is the best selling track ever from "Krembo Records" , it was played in hundreds of parties and raves around the world . this guy is going to be huge , just wait and see . Guest AlexG
i must say, i really didn't want to like this album! from the first time i heard it, his individual style just got on my nerves! i put it away, and decided it was worth nothing, and then i lended it to a friend. i got it back right before i was going on a really long drive, and the only other cd i had in my car i listened to so many times, that i was physically sick of it...i had no choice but to listen to this album. so i put it on, and the whole time i listened to it, i kept telling myself how bad it was, and how much i wish i had another cd...when it was over, i found my hand reaching for the play button again! =) it was amazing, the damn thing worked! with every next listen, i liked it more and more, and now i'm at a point where i listened to it so many times, i'm physically sick of it also =)
Guest Aeon
I was surprised at the variety of moods and 'types' of songs he created, despite the fact that many of the tracks use the same instruments. Plenty of chunky percussion samples keeps tracks like "Higher Places" fresh... For some reason I had a prejudice against this album at first, yet it grew on me... like a fungus... now I spin several of the tracks all the time... psytones
this release gets better and bette r (lol car post above). talented guy with fun sense of mixing in cheesyish, or fluffy retro elements with a pumping groove walk. Loads of variation, be them annoying or interesting. Ive had many stoned nights on my sofa puffing to Kailums 2 albums. listen with open and non judging ears. as mentioned, listen to the details of his work. 7 or 8.74/
