Review:

 

?How Far Can They Control My Mind??, the opening sample of Cannabanoid sums

this album up. I love it. This is old school psychedelic trance and it?s

done perfectly. A beautiful collision of noise - nothing particularly

innovative but just stomping music. Listen to this then go out and DANCE.

Traditional British psychedelic trance sound a la Green Nuns, Doof - this

contains some truly classic tracks. Cosmosis rule.

Music to smile to as you dance.

Somehow I don´t like this album as much as every boby else seem to do. Is very

good but tracks like "Morphic Resonance" just does´nt make it to the grade of

OK. The better ones though are very good. For example "Key To The Innerverse"

is the absolutely best one here in my opinion.. followed up by "Alien Disco"

and "Gift of The Gods". hmm.. Allthough pretty good =) 7/10

I agree with Gav : it's old school and it's very well done. No bad track here,

so this album is good to listen to in one time. Even the latest track, which

is ambient is good, and ends well the album. My favourite is Gift of the Gods,

but the others tracks are not far ! 8/10

I agree with the ones who say Cannabanoid is a great track, and alien disco and

key to the innerverse are also good, but somehow if you listen to this album

long enough, it all starts to sound too similar for my liking. I don't have

any other album from Cosmosis, but I can recommend one track from them called

: Howling At the Moon which is in my opinion the best track Cosmosis ever

made...! This album IS a classic, though not so good as for example

Hallucinogen's Twisted...

beautiful, squelchy, vivid, dripping with psychedelia, very glad i have it

kinda cd.

a masterpiece of labyrynthine sound, full on sound, driving, very intelligent

and thought-full, well constructed and sorted. these characteristics set it

apart from most other albums. take your time to get into this album....there's

lots of intelligence in there. but don't play it all the time - it does start

sounding the same, but sheesh.......it's still a classic, masterful piece of

work....oh and beautiful cover!! 8/10

Not bad, a few timeless standout tracks that even sound good today. Very

different sound than what they turned into (Synergy, Intergalactic), I think

there was a personnel change? Gift of the Gods is a Track for the Ages, the

kind of thing I can see future generations sitting around the campfire with

their palmtop studios and remixing as their elders used to sing rounds of the

tracks of their respective forefathers.

According to me, Cosmology is the best album from Cosmosis! It's exactly what I

call "old school goatrance".Sounds great, with nice melodies, good kick, and

sometimes strange sounds.(But it remains really classic) All the trax are

great, and the best one is Interspatial Meltdown.710

Simply great...Cosmosis gave me so much joy with this album...it is the all

time classic and i think that there isn't a psychedelic soul who doesn't have

this one...simply one of the greatest albums of all time...it stands right

next to TiT3...and Simon's stuff;)))

any Bad Track here and my favourites are Tracks 5&7 ! Just a little bad point

: Tracks 3&9 use a same background sample ... Rating : 8/10

back 3.5 years ago i was really just into 2 goa albums :Etnica's Alien protein

and Cosmosis Cosmology, i loved them even though i've listend to hause music

back then. 2.5 years ago i've started to listen to goa music for good, today

after those years i've listened to many many more goa (of course goa rules)

albums and i just think that of those two, Alien protein sounds a little bit

overdated now,of course i LOVE the Trip tonite track but thats it for that

album. Cosmology on the other hand, after all those years just sounds million

times better for me, its strange but each time i play this cd i love it much

more and more, of course there are many other good albums but dont know why

but the best one for me is just Cosmosis Cosmology (dont like their other

releses so much) even though its an old dated album, my favourite tracks back

then and now 1,4,7,9

definitely the best Cosmosis album! very different from the other two, more

straightforward and oldschool. best track: Gift of the Gods!!! the chillout

closer Afterglow is also excellent. the only problem is that some tracks

(Oceanic and Morphic Resonance) are a little repetitive. otherwise, this is a

perfect trance album. 9/10

track 7, gift of the gods is an all time classic and absolute mindblower,

especially the last half. cosmosis live are unbelievable!

Yep agreed, this CD is AMAZING!!!

 

Brings back so many memories of the good old goa days, although I'm damn happy

with the new breed in the scene - this old stuff by Cosmosis never dies for me

and keeps getting better.

 

Must have for any Goa collector - 9/10

This isexcellent, and I never get tired of it. Except maybe for the first

track, because I had it on a mixtape for many years, I've listened to it too

many times now. The whole album is beautiful. I like Gift of the Gods for that

tingling noise in the beginning and for the way it changes it's mood a bit in

the end.And I like Syanacid for it's strange atmosphere. But the whole album

is like a journey with same feeling of motion so it should be listened to from

beginning to end.

Cosmosis is one of those artists who don't really bring something innovative to

goatrance, but use "typical" goa sounds and element to make one excellent

album!! All the songs are good, but Gift of Gods rocks!! 9/10

One of the first few albums I ever got. For that it will always have a special

place in my memory. That aside, this is still quality classic goa trance. I've

heard Key to the Innerverse so many times, that I skip it now. The rest is

good to down right excellent. Get this. It's one of classics you can still

easily get.

AN ALL TIME CLASSIC !

 

This first COSMOSIS album is maybe their best cause it is brilliant from beginning to the end and it is so fast, energetic and euphorical that is among most fun albums to listen to. Every song is masterfully crafted and constructed and it has heaps of cosmic melodies. The title of it fits it the best. I like all tracks but my most favourite one are : OCEANIC, SAN YACID, ALIEN DISCO, GIFT OF THE GODS, KEY TO THE INNERVERSE...10/10
