Guest Vir2alExp Posted April 2, 2001 Posted April 2, 2001 I LIKE THEIR STYLE. Crazy, dark sounds all over the place on top of each other. Those Swedish guys known thier stuff. But i found it to difficult to get. I Live in Denmark and where i live (a Town Near Ã…lborg) There is only one goa-shop so i ordered it over the internet. but it was worth it 9/10 Quote
Guest [Anonymous] Posted April 3, 2001 Posted April 3, 2001 O.K. along the grapevine i heard thaty swedish trance is for the open.. and that they make dark music for the forest... i didn't understand what they meant by forest music until i heard this..... this is mushrooomm music... one can almost feel the whole ambience they try to create... definite elven feel to this one... i don't know .. but its just something that can be felt.. the vibe of the music... try it out ./.. i am going to keep this post anonymous lest you boys think i am deranged. :-) Quote
Guest Zeitti Posted May 14, 2001 Posted May 14, 2001 I've only heard one song from this album (Cryptic Crunch) and that was enough for me? How the f*ck can you say this is the best album ever or perfect party music? Cryptic Crunch is nothing but a stomping beat and a boring baseline, the whole song is so repetive I can't understand how someone can listen to a whole album full of this shit? I think many of you got into psy-trance with groups like Hallucinongen, Infected Mushroom, Astral Projection etc, so I dont understand how you're music taste can develop to a direction where you start listening to this kind of music? Just compare Pleiadians and this.. I don't get it?!? Quote
Guest PsyTranceRules.dk Posted May 17, 2001 Posted May 17, 2001 I've heard "short circuit" and a track"idiot" not featured on this album, those we're killers, but You can't get the album(Cryptic Crunch)anymore it's sold out....That really sucks!!! anyone who knows where to download this masterpiece??? Quote
Guest rx7style Posted May 21, 2001 Posted May 21, 2001 This album is really awesome BECAUSE it is so different. I can't stand it when everyone says, "It's not like _____ which is much better, so I don't like it!" Musical tastes digress in many directions, and this is totally unique. Very nice baselines with absolutely crazy rhythms and sounds! Anyone who knows what the term "psychedelic" means should appreciate this album. It pulls chaos into form and order. High on my list, but there are a few tracks on the album I don't like. 8.5/10 Quote
Guest xerox_22se[at]yahoo[dot]se Posted May 31, 2001 Posted May 31, 2001 Huxflux is the best and when i saw em live i didnt want to go and stop dancing to it.. Guest jhfdbaglbadfbna Posted June 1, 2001 Posted June 1, 2001 Zeitti- you must be a bit of a philistine when it comes to psychedelic music. This is the wildest, wierdest, and best produced I've heard. The sounds, humor, and style are righteous! Soooooo bad! Better than Logic Bomb too you should know. Quote
Guest [Anonymous] Posted June 2, 2001 Posted June 2, 2001 This album is a MASTERPIECE. Don't believe the naysayers, this is unbelievable and should NOT be out of print! Quote
Guest xerox_22se[at]yahoo[dot]se Posted June 2, 2001 Posted June 2, 2001 zeitti look dont compare this whit pleidians becouse they are shit and huxflux rules on the trance scene today and those ho dont know huxflux is logic bomb same artist exept dennis Quote
Guest [Anonymous] Posted June 5, 2001 Posted June 5, 2001 man, expirimenting with a potion! what an intro! when i hear that guy say "Let me tell You what" and they pull all the sound into time and through the bass in i just can't stay seated! as for it being to slow... variation is good, maybe it could be used at the beginning of a set to biuld into the 140-150bpm range. when i got this album i was interested in PsyTrance, now i am sold! Guest [Anonymous] Posted June 9, 2001 Posted June 9, 2001 well what can i say...a swed as i am.....u know we swedes are coming at u...we started back in the viking times(u know swedish vikings) and we will continue to make more and more psychedlic music...so be updated with the sweds=) Quote
Guest 9,5/10 - Swede Indeed Posted June 10, 2001 Posted June 10, 2001 When I first got it I listened to it and thought that this is crap. But then I got more and more into this dark side of psytrance and today I can't imagine a life without it. Calculus is best, That twisted noise/melody at 2:15 rules! Tripple Nipple is awsome too with the tripple feeling and noisie synths. Nemo has a fat drumbeat but I don't get Experimenting with potions...to slow and boring. Cryptic Crunch is a dark, hard killer though and Short circuit is good too, a really blow away-part in the middle somwhere. The rest three trax are quite good but no real killers. Quote
Guest Gimme Mushrooms Posted June 12, 2001 Posted June 12, 2001 Weird sounds, but a bit the same here and there. Nice bass. But no crazy melodies. So it's not for me. 3.5/10. Quote
Guest Tchankov I.V. Posted July 1, 2001 Posted July 1, 2001 2zeitti: It may be the title "Cryptic Crunch" track isn't the right one to judge the whole album from it! For me this track as well as "Calculus", "Elixir" and "Alkaloid" is the weakest thing this GREAT album has to offer. "Tripple Nipple": induces some tribal feel; "Nemo": contains superb driving rhitms in the second half of it; "Experimenting With Potions": the samples are all great, diverse one; "Shirt Circuit": don't know why most of you people there don't appreciate this track rightly for it has VIOLENT POWER - one of my favorites here! "Nervoservo": someone is coming in a hurry through endless labirynths & his motivation is clear - all is going to blow!! But the mind whispers: "Is it that bad to be blown?!" That's a problem Nervoservo has to solve! =) Great ending track. Conclusion: This album well worth 9/10, the present time. Quote
Guest psyentist Posted July 7, 2001 Posted July 7, 2001 I am new player in the reviews, i have been reading some reviews about the music i have and i would like to put my opinion on the table, This is my cup of tea raw fast mesmorizing but essencially PURE NOISE with the great killer pumping bass, skull ripping music some nice levelers with a smooth rhytym but psychedelic metamorphic changes are the highlights of this kind of great music, also some other favourites Lotus Omega:Recicle bin, logic bombs album, Hey.... PURE NOISE and DARK ATMOSPHERES is one hell of a way to sumerge in a deep scenery of total confussion and heavy mental. Just ILL!!!! Quote
Guest Bjaybot[at]e-mail[dot]dk Posted July 8, 2001 Posted July 8, 2001 I'll just wanna say that Psychedelic Goa IS the greatest.... And # 5, on this cd is completely Awesome...! Â God Bless This Music Style... (and of course Rap) Quote
Guest Zeitti Posted July 17, 2001 Posted July 17, 2001 sorry guys, i shouldn't have reviewed this album based on only 1 song.. now i have the whole cd, and i realised that cryptic crunch is for me the weakest song on this cd, and i actually like almost all the others the style is very weird, but the more i listen to this, the more i like this.. so you were right! rating: 8.5/10. Quote
Guest Prescott Q. Jamison III Posted July 19, 2001 Posted July 19, 2001 Yup, it took a few listens, but once I got into it I found that no other music I've yet heard makes me as euphoric and ecstatic as Hux Flux! With some pot it actually produces closed-eye visuals of a 3D-nature! Quote
Guest sunconscious Posted August 11, 2001 Posted August 11, 2001 hmmm i dont get it... its ok... ultimately a bore for me to listen to. really good base for the car, its good for dancing (sorta), although to me its too cheesy, and i cant listen to this at home at all. i just dont see what all the fuss is about, ive had this album for a while but i always find im going back to something else... 5/10 Quote
Guest LSDSanyasi Posted August 11, 2001 Posted August 11, 2001 This ablum by Hux Flux really kicks some serious brain cells!...Definitely one to trip wild on, this album is filled with wicked sounds, thumping bass-lines, tripped out Hi-Hat lines & some crazy effects!...The album as a whole kicks butt!!!...9.5/10 Quote
