DeathPosture
Wizzy Noise - Cybermancy Artist: Wizzy Noise Title: Cybermancy Label: Zillion Mental Anarchie Date: 2000 Track listing: 01. 07'58" Cybermancy 02. 08'04" Plastic Mold 03. 08'36" Hybrid Model One 04. 07'02" 500 Km 05. 08'38" Oversexed Succubus 06. 08'32" Infernal Pod 07. 10'04" Xpanded 08. 08'28" Devil's Night 09. 06'27" The Crow Review: Finally an album from Greek nutters Micky & Uriel who together are better known as Wizzy Noise. Let me start this review by saying that this is REALLY good. I haven't stopped listening to this since I got it. The album has FULLY adopted the modern Euro-minimalistic style, but as some other acts, this actually doesn't sound boring or repetitive. It works, and the result is a VERY progressive, minimalistic and EXTREMELY psychedelic album. As most minimalistic psy-trance, this sounds best on BIG ASS SOUNDSYSTEMS or in headphones.. And I can't wait 'til hearing these fine tracks at parties. Best tracks: ALL OF 'EM!. Yeah, I can't really name any standouts, as all these tracks work for me. All are sprinkled with well-fitting samples and all in all this is a VERY GOOD debut-album from Wizzy Noise! And if you're into the whole minimalistic Yumade-Spirallianz-Paps-etc thing, then GET THIS! You will NOT be disappointed! Guest brian[at]goashoppen[dot]com
Hi Martin! Have to agree with you 99%.....my rating 10/10.
Guest ir0nm0nk3y
Very, very nice. Hard, smooth lubbiness with nice overlays. The whole disk is nice but, Infernal Pod and Xpanded are the best. It is minimal so, those that don't like the Yumade, Son Kite, Necton, Spirallianz direction of trance can skip this. But, in my opinion, you're missing out on something great if you do. 9/10. Guest Cnt97
Ok. This is a quality release for sure. But it lacks something, just as Noma's album did... I dont know what really.... I love other tracks by Wizzy Noise like Wizzy Dominance and Space Boy ... they more psychedelic I think. First tracks are almost too "technoish" for my taste. Maybe I'll listen to this another day. danger
Best psytechno I 've ever heard. Thats what I call psytechno not the other repetitive boring shit!

Guest jsbedard
Like many artists, their singles are better that their albums. Tracks like Brain Machine, army freaks mickey are 10 times better than tracks on this album. The album is pretty well too, but no as good as their singles. I thinks it is too psy-techno, not enought psychedelic and twisting. 7.5/10 for cybermancy
Guest AlexG
this is the first album i reviewed in a long time, and let me tell you i'm damn happy it's this one, and not any other. what a fine piece of work! i don't agree with the reviewer above saying their singles are better: this is just different. the singles were, for the most part, happy, catchy, and quite simple tunes, but this...WOW! this is what spirallianz could only hope for! same level of production, and the same overall take on trance, but this cd is sooo much (what's the word?)... tastier! or, maybe smoother? whatever! instead of constantly banging on the same set of notes, these guys overlay a whole bunch of driving rhythms, and there isn't a boring moment in any track. beautifully executed, this is techno/trance at it's best! 9.5/10 =)
Guest kidneyspears[at]aol[dot]com
Wizzy Noise used to be nithzonot producers and now they are the deepest minimal band. Stop following the fashion and find your own style
Guest danielchronopoulos[at]mail[dot]g
I agree with Kidney ! Ugly album for supposed "cool" minimalist likers.
max
Not a bad album, but have to be played on a loud sound system at high level to be appreciated. Defintely dancefloor oriented. Listen before buying and don't refer to old Wizzy Noise tracks to have an idea of the content of this album.
Guest Cnt97
Ok.. I have no listened to the album a couple of times now. To appriciate it you have to: 1...Listen to it LOUD in good speakers and at night time! 2...Be in a party-mood! 3...Like to dance outdoors in the woods It COULD be even better though. Some songs use the same sounds and things like that, that's boring...Definitly a nice night dancefloor album tho'!... It's smooth and all.. but the tracks are a little too alike eachother to be put on the same album... or maybe not? More laid back than other tracks from them... 7.5/
Guest Goa Spirit
A very nice release from zma... i have always really liked this group (twisted love) and this album is really nice as well... deep and dark, this is definitely for the darkness of the night... i would love to hear it at a full moon party.. and i don't really think this is psy techno... maybe feels that way because of its dark nature. i really liked track 2, 6, 8/// a very nice job guys.. Guest Ravemail10
Great album. A little similar to spiralianz, but without the choo-choo-train-run-right-over-you element :-) Don't get the wrong idea that it isn't hard though, cause it is. Listen LOUD. I disagree it must be outdoor though, I think this would work indoors just as well. I'll just have to try it and see. I also disagree that their singles are better than their album. It's strange that no one mentioned track 5, as it stands out along with 2 and 6. Worst track is 1. 8/10 - Nice but not a masterpiece (it isn't supposed to be), way above average. Guest mk01975[at]hotmail[dot]com
One of the great releases. This album is hard-pounding-punch ---a brilliant concoction. Cybermancy is a realized piece of work that can be listened to loud, soft, in the bush in the car....wherever you fu%#k'n like. Wizzy Noise are not followers (as stated above), when Wizzy was doing "Brain Machine" + "Wizzy Dominance" they were involved in a certain sound and they did it very well. Nothing is ever constatnt - Evolve and Change. Thank You Micky & Uriel for the new sounds, I am enjoying them immensely. Please make your way to Australia...we are waiting!!! 9.5/
Guest smokeBuddha
kidney and chronopolous can SMD. This shit fuckin rocks! This is one of the best hard, dark psytrance albums out there. Highly recommended! (especially for those in an altered state of mind). 10/
Tegma
This album is ok, but the thing that really annoys me is that: (I hope Wizzy Noise reads this) they use the same loop in I dont know how many songs , Vandalists, Tripod and 3-4 songs on the album, I mean guys common a little bit repetetive.. that makes you not be able to hear any difference between trax.. And second thing that I dont like is that they use those high-pass filter sounds in the second half of nearly every song.. I mean is it full-on or minimal?? Anyway I was expecting more diversity from them... Could have been better. 6/
Guest sposford[at]yahoo[dot]com
ARRRRRRRRRRRRGH!!!!!!! What has happened to my heroes and Psy trance in general? It has all become infected with that minimal trance Yumade, Son Kite type bolloxs. What happened to fucking classics like "man in the Universe", "Clean Travelling" "twisted love" etc.If there was one trance act who could bring back some stomp into trance (except Christof) these guys were it, now they have regressed into some kind of hairdresser trance. Please somebody bring back Goatrance or what ever but I reckon Psychedelic trance is losing its way bigtime!
Guest Zoltar
"Xpanded" is a really killer track. Hmm, I was expecting some loud guitar samples from Wizzy Noise for their 1st album - duh. But this CD is an enjoyable psy-dark experience, if you like the new minimalistic noisy way. Best release of Zillon Mental Anarchie Records! [ 8.5/10 ]
Guest Zodiac[at]goatrance[dot]com
I will just say....THIS ONE IS A KILLER...the greatest and heaviest basslines I ever heard...dont miss this dark and powerful album...10/
Guest stoned2max
Make sure you buy this album
Guest goapsytrance[at]hotmail[dot]com
This is really dancefloor oriented, so, as others have said, it MUST be played LOUD on a good sound system in order to be appreciated. Let me just say when I heard tracks from this at a party, it really got me to groove to the rhythm. It definitely DOES work indoors. Good stuff, maybe not for listening, but DEFINITELY for dancing your ass off to.
Guest rogerramjet
Saw them live in London the other day - I have the album as well, and a few of their earlier tracks. Can't say I like the style that much - too repetitive and not enough ups and downs to keep you interested. Pretty slick act though, with none of the electronics problems you more than often get with live acts.
Guest slinker
loud unforgiving hard pumping tech/trance...in my opinion i really liked it..minimal but not overly minimal, some amazing basslines and percussion these guys sure can throw together some high energy tracks! 9/10 play it loud =^,^=
