Guest skandal[at]graffiti[dot]net
Wizzy Noise - Cyclotron Artist: Wizzy Noise Title: Cyclotron Label: Candyflip Date: 2002 Track listing: 01. 07'20" Cyclotron 02. 07'07" Radius 03. 06'59" Oxidizer 04. 07'41" Velocity Engine 05. 07'44" Tau Ceti 06. 07'39" Technophobia 07. 07'15" Painful Memory 08. 07'14" Tribal Dawn 09. 09'37" Unfullfilled Desires 10. 05'00" Exodus Review: A very fresh sounding release, very tribal, psychdelic and dark as all hell. The essense of wizzy noise is still here yet very matured. t01: Very nice opening track, the pads in the begining make a nice atmosphere which smoothly leads into a techno oriented track with some tribal sounding percussion. t02: Again with the good ol' wizzy atmospheric opening, this track is a killer, i love the sample from final fantasy it fits sooo perfectly t03: Not much to say, its a nice n hard track from wizzy, not bad at all. t04: A killer, very energetic, progressive and fast. t05: Good track, it kinda sounds like absolum, now that i think of it t4 did too. t06: Hard kick, Deep bassline nice percussion. good but not to exciting t07: good track but in a clubby kinda way t08: This track reminds me of older wizzy noise releases. t09: more melodic trancy stuff here. i like it! its like the unfullfilled melodic desires of this album. t10: different than any other wizzy noise track very melodic ! and psychdelic. over this is a nice blend of psy-techno-trance stuff... i dont really have any favorites yet because i havent listening to it enough but overall nice i a pretty good release as long as you listening to it LOUD. 8/
Anoebis
yes, it is a nice cd from Wizzy Noise! And don't forget the label is Candyflip!! (on this site it was anounced as a Spiral Trax release) Best song for my taste are the last 3 ones!! really full on acid-bubbling songs!! Specially 9 is a real killer!! Bom Shankar! Guest Connor
A very skillfuly made CD. I have alot of respect for these guys. Consistant style and production value with a selection of tracks that covers the map. Wizzy's melodies are so noisy and fun and just make you groove every time they are heard. An excellent blend of styles in the darktrance genre with some very fine elements of many of today's sounds all with the wizzy touch. Highly reccomended

Halosian
Boring repetitive... More like techno then trance.. I think we´ll have to mark where the line should be drawn. Else we´re soon going to have Jeff Mills/Carl Cox/Dave Clarke album reviews here on this trance site.. Fractal Glider - Parasite, this is what trance should sound like in millenia.. Guest tested
A little bit of DELTA, a little bit of ABSOLUM, a little bit of DEEDRAH, plus a little wizzy twist = WIZZY NOISE THIS ALBUM LACKS ORIGINALITY! 6/

Guest [Anonymous]
psytrance album ??? are u crazy this cd is so boring i just needed 5 min to listen to it track 1 to 9 are the same , no differences at all. the term originality does not exist for them for sure. and dont call this psychedelic dark techno trance this is dark techno and thats it nothing else. where is the psychedelia or anything similar to it. rating 4/
ukiro
First of all, you uneducated little twats, THIS IS NOT TECHNO. If you had any clue about techno you'd agree, but clearly you don't. Most of you who are whining seem to have no clue about musical genres and somehow expect Wizzy Noise to sound like Fractal Glider. It's like expecting Metallica to release a polka album. Surely "Cyclotron" has a few techno-ish elements, but that is a completely different thing. This is cutting edge psy-trance, allthough I agree that it's not all too psychedelic, but that goes for the majority of records reviewed on this site. It is very hypnotic though, and the excellent drum programming gives it a rolling, pushing atmosphere that keeps you going and going, while the smile widens. Most of all, this is _GOOD MUSIC_. Great use of atmospheres in most tracks, allthough they rely a bit too heavily on sampled pads sometimes. At least they have the good sense to modify them a bit with some clever filtering. The tracks are all quite similiar, but since they are all very good, thats a positive thing :-) I'm generally very conservarite with ratings, but this album keeps growing on me, and I'd say it's lots better than their previous one. 8 out of 10 from me, abd my only major complaint would be that it's not being released on vinyl. ukiro
I feel I need to add the following statement(s): Of course people are free to dislike this album, but if you want any for of respect for your opinion, make sure you know what the heck you're on about. You don't go see a Woody Allen movie and get pissed of because it lacks action, explosions and firefights, do you? Try to judge it for what it is. Regarding the originality of this release I am very well aware that it's no major breakthrough in the evolution of psy-trance, but it _is_ an important step forward. They successfully combine the best elements from various cutting edge acts (such as delta and absolum, mentioned by "Tested" above) and blend these ingredients with thir own special flavour to create a very tasty set of tracks. Guest Amitabha
Everybody just complaining about others, about this is psytrance, this is techno.. NO!! THIS IS WIZZY NOISE!! I may be wrong but i think they got elements of both.. so what.. The genre is not important.. the tracks and album, however, is the thing to discuss here, no?
