much better than previous album, they've actually gone back to their roots, the

way they were when twisted love came out... great album 10/10

Deep tech trance, it is trance cos it's hypnotic and no techno sounds exactly

like the tech trance stuff does - it is in a genre of it's own but definitely

still trance.

It takes a good xouple of listens to start separating the trax from one another

cos they are pretty similar sounding, but if you say it all sounds the same

well - it's like grandmas who say all electronic music sounds the same - just

boom boom boom...

It requires listening on a deeper level - distinctions aren't obvious when

melody is almost absent - but this doesn't mean it's all the same and

therefore not good. It just means you gotta enter a more real trance state to

acess the deeper rhythm and flow... It's all really easy when you got a good

melody or hook to listen to.

Don't get me wrong I love melodic stuff too, but then I like the Protek stuff

too. It's all good!!

Album verdict 8/10 for smooth deep percussive trance that operates on different

levels from the norm.. Better than the first album but I'd have to say Twisted

Love is still my favourite for it's shear intensity.. Now stop talking shit

and listen to the tunes for godssake! hehehe

ok, I like Cybermancy and I think of that album as a repetityve style of

somthing like Tech-Trance or something like that, but remains psychedelic.

When I first read about a new Wizzy Noise and a more mature sound from this

guys i just shit on my pants. I just got the CD and I can say everything about

this cd in one word: MINIMAL. I'v espsct somthing more psychedelic without

those borings sounds in Cybermancy. One thing: they might have a mature style

but that soesn't matter 'cus there is still one thing about wizzy noise: You

hear one of this guys tracks and you have hear it all... what a shame for me,

this is one of the releases that i'v been waitting for this year and it is a

desception for me... And on top of that thers somthing like the Delta but

without the Delta feeling... If you are into buying this cd just don't espect

nothing, that way you might don't get disapointed...

yyyYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEeessss! This is the album we could hear Wizzy Noise had in

them from the start. They've eliminated the cringe factor and listened to a

lot of X-Dream. This is the best Psy-Trance record of the year. This is a

triumph. The percussion is full yet interesting and there's plenty of good

stuff going on, but it never gets too busy. The sweeping effects have a gothy

touch but suggest a fine red mist instead of dripping with melodramatic gore.

This crunchy madness sets the bar for any other tech-trance releases to come.

I wish the new Delta release had been more like this one. 9/10, and I am VERY

hard to please these days. Take a bow, guys.

... of course it's not only X-Dream influence: those above who noted Delta,

Absolum and Deedrah influences, good call. There's also a nice GMS-style

stonkfest touch that makes you dance. Basically, this record represents at

last the hatching of the last couple of years of the psy-techno movement. We

can now change the keyboard settings, please: no more like this is necessary

because these guys have finally got the tweakage exactly right and said what

the music demanded, all in one place.

[[[[[[]]]]]Yea I gotta say this shit is B.A.D! Some tracks a little samey and

could use some fresh synth sounds but overall it's effin killer...===========

Wicked production and rhythms, very groovin sound, fun for dance I'm

sure''''''''' That 9th track is incredible and I love how they get a good bit

more maximal, complex, and layered than their 1st album+++++++++++++

wow!!!! i am amazed by the power of this album... i wouldn't reduce the

intensity of this album by proclaiming it as a tech- trance album, in my

opinion wizzy blends a whole lot of psy musical styles to produce what in my

mind is technoa/// the first two tracks are similar to older releases and set

up the tempo without being killers... this changes with oxidiser which has a

stompy bassline and a very dark ambience... from 3:30 this song is an amazing

progression of technoa/// nice echoey effects in the background, which build

into a really haunting melody.. this one is massive.. (delta, absolum

influence and the extra wizzy touch)... this is followed by velocity engine,,

this one seems to be charged with very high bpm... a really nice bassline

again, building off with wizzy's progressions/./ a head cleaning rasping noise

in the back.. coupled with a strange horn sound add tension to the track..

some people here might wonder where the synth sounds are at this point.. but

then the echoes come and i soon forget that thought and start following the

echoes.. then the break comes and the whole point of the track is realized

with a very uplifting bass release.. this track is filled with subtle chages,

and is a true hypnotizer.. not as good as oxidiser, but good nevertheless..

then we move on to tau ceti, this one in my opinion is very 3d v style

influenced.. nice groovy bassline, and then the whole wizzy paraphernelia of

subtle changes, echoey effects and amazing breaks like the one at 4:00, which

will blow up any dance floor.. track flags off in the typical wizzy huge dark

room melodies.. this track is very german style, i don't really like the high

pitched noises towards the end of the track here though, but that is probably

because of my exposure to psytrance. then comes technophobia, which is a very

interesting track, with a helicoptor bassline in the style of a lot of goa

releases.. this one is very interesting, high hats and all the excess gzmos

are present here. bassline is very well constructed, with awesome changes from

stubby to smooth (like at 4:50)... the rack ends with a eurotrance waves of

sound melody which is present over a long period of time, this would ruin most

tracks for me but, here it is o.k and does not destroy the track ala yahel

style.. then is painful memory and one realizes that the style of the music

has changed from the total dark of the night to slightly lighter pre- dawnish

feel. this one is definitely more like old school wiizy.. with a lot of their

trademark sounds.. a lovely duuby kind of synth line appears at around 3:00,

and this builds into an amazing release of emotions.. this track kills,

abetted by the electric scando infuenced bassline.. then we move onto the more

melodic half of the album, tribal dawn follows the same formula as the

previous tracks, but has more melodious and morning sounds.. very driving

track this, and it won't let you go till the end.. then we have the other

killer on this album, unfulfilled desires, hear it and you will understand...

then we end of with exodus, which is a very good closing track..

so end result, this release kills.., it has all the lements of a mature and

realized piece of work, and does not lose a lot of essential basic elements

such as the sound of the 'doof' etc.. this one is will get a 9.4/ 10 from me...

Hmm... I don't know if it's Wizzy's style that's become better or me getting

used to their style, but whereas I found Cybermancy pretty mediocre, I find

Cyclotron one of the best '02 releases!! You have the typical "funky"

basslines we're all getting since X-Dream's Radio, but for some reason, I

actually like it here!! Especially track 1. There's also a change in style in

the last 3 trcks, a LOT less typical to what we're used to our days,

especially from Wizzy!! Track 8 is my best pick, there are some discrete acid

lines, but the whole song is VERY well made, IMO. Track 9 has more acid, and

the last part is a real stormer!! And then track 10 comes in with even more

acid and finishes this album pretty nicely 8-D The other tracks are quite

good, but don't stand up from the crowd IMO, so I guess I'll give this a 8/10

This album is amazing. For someone like me who's been falling out of the scene

slowly but surely for lack of enough real creativity and innovation, this is

one album that's going to inspire me to keep one foot in the scene a little

longer. Not only does this album challenge if not usurp X-Dream's throne of

tech-trance (Irritant is also very good and shouldn't necessarily be compared

to Cyclotron), it very well could be the magic road leading out of a very dark

and decaying forest full of artists who are all sounding the same these days.

There's something new and vital here, not to mention extremely powerful. I

give it a rare (for me) 10/10.

When I bought cybermancy, it became my favourite album in my collection. Now

Cyclotron goes one better. At first a lot of it may sound a little repetitive

and boring, but this is one of those rare albums that gets better and better

the more you listen to it, as the subtle, hidden genius reveals itself.

There's so much there that I dont really have the qualifications to try and

explain, but this is what music is all about. My mate saw them live at their

album launch at kundalini in london, and I am so fucking jealous. Tribal Dawn

is an incredibly intelligent stomper, and there are just no words to describe

the brilliance of Unfulfilled Desire. Ridiculously good album, don't miss out.

I'm a little tired of the technoization of psy trance these days but hey some

people call it progression! Along the same lines as there previous cd however

there is one big redeeming feature that makes it kind of worthwhile-TRACK 9-if

you like the tracks Tokyo present day,man in the universe, travelling,Drug

siliconising then this is the one for you-the only decent track they have ever

released on cd (well I do like Wizzy dominance)-this track is a stomping non

techno killer-probably worth it alone just for this track-the rest, well very

well produced techno. Hey I thought that is why Psy Trance evolved in the

first place-to get away from all that techno chaff!
