Guest beuh-air[at]caramail[dot]com Posted March 28, 2002 Share Posted March 28, 2002 i dont' think it's a really great work from ari... most of these tracks have already been released , or are b-sides... it's not a real album, it's more a compilation made by phonokol with ari's b-sides, because ari had signed for 2 album on phonokol , but after the first one, he decided to work with the tip crew...so phonokol had still an alien project cd to sell... and here it is! i think we can expect much more from ari for his real second album, coming out very soon on tip world.. the first track is really good , fat bassline and good kick , the typival a.p crunchy sounds porogress quite slowly in a progressive way , very dance floor oriented.nice track i won't review the tracks 2,3 & 4 cause they allready have been released... track 5 is a nice track too, there is in the background a very nice and smooth melody and the track also progress quite slowly , but nothing extraordinary here, it reallly sound like a.p 's first album... track 6 is a collaboration between ari and serge souque from antidote, we can hear the antidote's touch , nice track but still nothing amazing...too similar with the first album , we don't hear any progression!! tracks 7 & 8 are like the one before , fat & fast bassline, very nice sound , very well produced , nice harmonies , but kind of morning music not so full on, and not very very original... nice but already heard.. track 9 is my favorite , it's a slower track(135bpm), but i think it's the most original one , the bassline is incredibly groovy , the sounds are really good , and it sond to me like the crossroad between alien p and pure swedish morning tune .. i love that track!!! so i think this is not a bad album , it's even good , but i still have the feeling that it is just a copy of midnight sun , because of the reasons explained .. for real alien project's fan , and for the ohters , you should wait for his real album peace Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Sure, its okay but just like Skazi, Alien P plays in the subdivision of the Israeli League...I don't think his stuff is upthere quality wise with the IM's, Sandmans, Space Cats or Cosmas...6/10. Very dark and heavy on the melodies without sounding too corny. excellent to work to if u r a programmer or a web developer... seriously its fantastic and all the tracks have a real strong presence in a dark like setting. vision Posted October 22, 2002 Share Posted October 22, 2002 Alien Project - Dance or Die is not a fully new album by Ari Linker. Some of the tracks on thi album were already released, but despite that album is quite good. Most tracks are very welll logicaly organized and mixed, quality digital & analog mastering (it should be because famous Lior Perlemutter took part in produsing this album). Also there are some interesting collabiration of Ari Linker with other artist & djs. Dance Or Die & Ice Is Nice were written with Jean Borelli and mostly dancefloor oriented. These trax have fat besslines, good kicks and lots of psyeffects and sounds. I would like to recommend DJs to use Dance or Die as an opening track for their great sets. Modulator & Genetic Eyes are more fast and psychedelic trax, close to GMS style. They were already published on EPs. Midnight Sun (GMS remix) - a hit first by Ari. In GMS remix it became even greater. Wonderfull track. Teotihuacan with Cell Firmi peacefull mourning trance,with sunth melodies and TB rifs. Anti@Alien with Serge Souque from Antidote is perfect dancefloor track that contains wounderfull melodie somwhere iin the middle. Deep Spirit& Dust are deep progressive psy trax with original sounds and good basslines. Dance or Die i can say is an intelegent psytrance album, maybe not the best for dance floor, but defenetly worth listening to it. And i will repeat, that track are wery logically built and perfectly mastered. Listen to Alien Project's new albumm published ths year on TIP world.
