Ten bouncing tracks and ten ambient tracks to take your pick from. Oh, and a nice full colour booklet explaining the psychedelic world of trance. The booklet probably makes it worth alone. Some nice tracks like Medicine Drum and Prana on the psychedelic side for one. Overall, this is nothing so special but a lot of the tracks are old and may be of interest to some. Quote

Remember that it was released a long time ago when it was almost impossible to find more information about this music and their creators. THE HOLY GHOST, PRANA, MEDICINE DRUM and RHYTHM OF SPACE are my personal favs. If you really consider yourself a collector, you need this CD. Quote
Anoebis Posted April 18, 2000 Posted April 18, 2000 I didn't like CD 1 very much...!! Although there are some very famous names on it... Still there are 2 very good tunes, Medicine Drum and Prana... That song is soooo great, great psychedelic sounds!! Only that Arabian "melody" in the middle... Was that necesarry?? CD 2 is something completely different but really AWESOME!! This is one of my favourite chill-CD's!! The song "Sacred" from "Neera" is even the most beautiful chill-song I've ever heard... That voice is straight from heaven!! Bom Shankar Quote

The ambient cd sounds a bit undeveloped and repetetive at times, but what the hell. This feels like what started it in the first place Wonderfull 11/10 Quote

The very beginning of whole scene at their creative peaks creating perfect ambient and trance soundscapes for the benefit of everyone's minds and spirits. This series start with this very compilation and it is stunning concept of whole series, combining earth matters with good sonic production making great electronic excursions. I won't get into the tracks, all I can say that both discs are filled with most quality tracks from both ambient and trance genres. Trance disc has one of the greatest classics : SPIKE, FEEL THE UNIVERSE, SOUNDBEAMS, LELOTUS BLEU, WIZRAD'S BREW, ODYSSEY OF THE MIND, DERVISH and ambient disc is like one long journey...10/10 Quote
