Etnoscope : Tribal Interference 02. Eargear : Housetranceexpress (DDR Rmx) 03. Allan And Healy : Buzzing 04. Morphem : Ambrosia (Son Kite Rmx) 05. DJ Nukem And Chab : Shaiva (Heavy Duty Mix) 06. Vernon : Wanderer (Son Kite Rmx) 07. Antix : I Wanna Be 08. Raygun : Rotorblatt 09. Qlap : Went Mental in Mexico 10. Ticon : We Are the Mammoth Hunters (MOS Rmx) 11. Son Kite : Reewo 12. Ticon : There's No Plan 13. Shaman : Tantrum 14. Emou : Summer Is Old (Space Safari Rmx) Review: Smooth is the word I think. DJ Marcus, half Son Kite (and the rest of their endless projects) mixed for us a smooth journey in the MPDQX realms, jumping over to visit some other nearby territories, with two turntables and two CDJs we slide easily through clubby realms, progressive realms and psyprogressive realms. The story builds nicely, the mixes flow, and it all sits tight together. The sound flows between indoor and outdoor, as does the story. Standout sites in this trip are the Quirky couple, Nuckem & Chab, Son Kite's Vernon remix, Raygun (more info anyone?), and the finisher- Space Safari remix to Emou. Bottom line: If you like progressive trance, don't miss this. If you don't, this is a good introduction. Good for chilling out with some beats at home as well. A goodie. Favorite parts: 3-6, 8-10, 14.
Guest Tomvcarter
An exelent example of a progressive trance mix. Starts of with an amazing tune from the awsome up and coming Etnoscope, a deep housy tune, with a amazing breakdown and a wicked vocoda sample1 10/10. superbly mixed into the fatter sound of Eargear, rolling but funky bassline, with tech stabs over the top, nice. Not a big fan of the Allen & healy tune, typical of their style. Then a huge tune, Son Kite with an epic remix of the allready huge Morphem - Ambrosia! Nuken & chab with a heave housy tech stomper, good as well. Then the tune you all know so well vernon remix, just massive! Then antix starts the roll with a light morning tune from plastik park, Ray Gun rolls it even more, then Qlap even more! Finally breaking into the infamous MOS remix of We are the mamoth hunters, fat. Son kite slows the pace down a bit with this exelent tune from the cross like compilation, than Ticon with a very funky a melodic tune, exelent one of my favorites. Shaman then leads on well to a beutiful end with Space Safaris rmx of Emou. The choice of tunes if exelent leading the listener on a journey through the whole progressive genre, from deep housey stuff throught to full on techy stompers, with never a dull moment. The mixing is also very good. Cant wait for the next installment of Digital DJ! A must buy imo, good for chilling at home and just as good for the dance floor. Top tunes imo 1, 4, 5, 6, 10, 12 & 14 all classics! Just get it. 9.5 /
