Guest Mascok
V/A - Divi-Nations Artist: Various Title: Divi-Nations Label: TIP World Date: 2000 Track listing: 01. 05'48" GMS And Raja Ram : 1200 Mics 02. 08'55" Para Science : Boomerang 03. 07'18" Tripiatrik : The Real Wrong 04. 07'26" GMS : Lumberjack 05. 07'06" Total Eclipse : 10 Years Of Trance 06. 08'32" Oforia : Raw (Absolum Rmx) 07. 08'24" Logic Bomb : Herr Ubermann 08. 07'56" Bus : Swipe At The Big Blue 09. 07'33" Manmandeman : Eat the Beat 10. 07'45" Shpongle : Divine Moments Of Truth (Rmx) Review: this cd starts with a very good track from GMS And Raja Ram called 1200mics, which are- Riktam And Bansi (aka GMS) and Raja-Ram (aka .half. Shpongle). this track was already released on a vinyl ep few monthes ago, and now it was released on a cd. great party track with some vocal samples from the movie "The Matrix". it cant be better!. second track is from Para Science called Boomerang. starts a bit chilly, then goes harder, and harder. nice drumbeat and fat basslines, a lot of crazy, weird, fx samples on the background which makes this track really full on energy. 3rd track is from Trapiatrik called The Real Wrong. very nice track, very fun atmosphere in this track, for me, maybe because the nice bassline heh. a lot of vocal samples which turns to be fx's on the background, nice drums, cool melodies. nothing else.4th track is an amazing track from GMS called - Lumberjack, starts really nice with some fx's samples and a bassline, then, booom, a sword flash sample and the beat is coming. after a while a crazy melody comes, and the beat is going harder and harder every few mins. listen to 5:06+, crazy!. 5th Track is from Total Eclipse, a new track, called 10 years of Trance. a beautiful track which is a bit chilly from all the tracks before, but very good. a lot of nice, beautiful, quality melodies, and basslines. i think this track combinates the psytrance scene from 10 years ago up to now. 6th track is a remix by Absolum for Oforia's Raw track, well remixed though Christof didnt left much from the original, except of the bassline which only comes on 4:30 and goes up and up, and some fx's and the great melody line from the original , a very twisted track, which was already released on the Oforia - Raw Remixes vinyl ep. follows that, track #7, from Logic Bomb (aka .half. Hux Flux), very weird and twisted track with lots of background fx's sounds. starts with a light kickdrum which is really nice, very funky and groovy drumbeat all along, quality track it is, which kick ass!. 8th Track is from Bus called Swipe At The Big Blue, a pretty chilly and beautiful track, nice drums, nothing else. 9th Track is from ManMadeMan called Eat The Beat, a Typical Modern ManMadeMan Track which is very good!. nice drums and fat bassline, very dreamy or maybe dark atmosphere in this track, i cant choose, an amazing track!. Ending this cd a great remix from Shpongle which is my favorite Chill out Track - Divine Moments of Truth, this remix is diffrent from the one on Demented, i dont know why, in both compilation there is the same track, but its diffrent. well, this one is better than the one in Demented. really interesting how come its not the same track (Rmx), though it is under the same name... anywayz, great ending track for this amazing compilation which i think is one of the best this year!. seems like Tip.world never disappointing me, until now, every compilation they released, kicked ass!. keep up the good work!. Guest jonatanh[at]hotmail[dot]com
Ok, I just listened to this compilation. I have to say it's pure quality (as usual when it comes from TIP). Maybe not as good as the Halluci-Nations compilation though. The first track, GMS And Raja Ram (GMS And Raja Ram) : 1200 Mics, I heard months ago. Avarage track but the intro is awesome (a kind of lame sample from Matrix also used in the song). I really like ALL the tracks, but the best tracks on this compilation must be: Tripiatrik "The Real Wrong", Logic Bomb "Herr Ubermann", ManMadeMan "Eat the Beat" and Shpongle's "Divine Moments Of Truth" (a very nice Rmx)... Get this compilation _NOW_!
Guest aphelion[at]chaoscontrol[dot]com
an absolutely wicked comp!!! all tracks are really good but 1200 mics (love those matrix samples), lumberjack and the remix of dmt are especially nice. great packaging too! 9/
Guest psy[at]persogo.com[dot]br
Cool album.. it´s good! The best tracks on this album: Tripiatrik, "the real wrong" and GMS "lumberjack"
Guest Dr Rhythm
I like this better than Halluci-nations. Oforia and Para-Science are the best tracks but it's all crucial stuff. 9/
Guest LaGoaTrance
Very good compilation. Very good tracks are plenty : 1200 micrograms, GMS, Total Eclipse, Oforia, Shpongle. Good tracks are Para Sence, Logic Bomb (this track is great in live), ManMadeMan (better than usual i think). The only bad track is Bus which is a boring empty track for me. Anyway, this is the better compilation from year 2000, anyone agree ?
Guest Tequila
this comp' kicks ass!! the tracks 1&4 are fucking brillant and powerful, I like the new GMS a lot:=)In fact, track 3 is also great (very powerful too) with a nice kikc and an impressive bassline. In lumberjack you can hear some samples from the game Diablo, that's quite funny...anyway, an excellent compilation, representative of the new generation of psychadelic trance music.please TIP, keep on editing such good releases! Guest Dead74
A quality compilation from TIP World, and yes it's a full-on dance floor stormer! I mean, it opens with "1200 mics," which is that GMS and Raja Ram track with the Matrix sample. There are few monotonous tracks here and there, but overall, I would like to praise the good tracks. The Tripiatrik track can be a little boring at times, but that kick just sounds sooooo bad! I really like the Total Eclipse track, and Oforia track is pretty good, too. I also like the Shpongle track even though it's somewhat played out. And even though it's played out, I just love GMS' "Lumberjack" sooo much. I mean, it's gotta be one of the sickest tracks ever made. They just don't give a fuck!!!! I love it. I wish TIP would put all their tracks on the vinyl, but I still give them much respect for their taste and vision. a high 7.5/10 for this one. But remember, the GMS track alone is worth buying this album for!
Guest AlexG
best one of tip's 'nations, and probably the best comp of the year. only twisted "demented" and mdma "future navigators 2" can compare at this point. the 1200mics track is wicked, a real party killer. gms, tripiatrik, oforia, total eclipse, logic bomb: shit, they're all so great. 8 very nice relaxed track, 2 is ok, and i don't like track 9 at all. but that dmt remix is so incredible! play it at an outdoor (especially in the forest) in the morning and be amazed: simon kicks ass again! 9/
Guest [Anonymous]
It starts off with GMS 1200 Mics, a fucking AWESOME track, then goes into a relatively blah track from Para Science. The Tripiatrik song is definitely kickin, though it can get repetitive at times. Still, gotta love that kick, the groovy bassline, and the cool fx. Track 4, another party killer from GMS (yeah I know 1200 Mics and Lumberjack are played out, but they're sooooo insane!). I definitely like the new GMS style better than the noisiness of the Growly Family. Total Eclipse are next with a good solid track, nice melodies. Track 6, the Absolum remix of Raw, has a meeeaan kick and that cool melody, but its missing something. Track 7 has cool fx and the twisted craziness one expects from Logic Bomb, but again something's missing. Track 8 is chill, nothing special, in fact a little boring. The boredom continues with track 9, a very monotonous track. However, relief is provided by Shpongle's DMT remix, a FUCKING AWESOME song (so what if it's played out). Its a good comp, favorite songs are 1, 4, 5, 10; the rest are OK to blah. Maybe I just have to listen to this comp more and then I'll truly hear the rest of the songs, but for now I must say that this comp is a little bit monotonous. Nevertheless, I recommend it due to the high number of KILLER songs! 7/
Guest slinker
Very good compilation...i like all tracks and theres quite a variety of musical styles ranging from Manmademan to 1200 mics and through to Shpongle..the only track i thought wasnt that great was the `Bus` track which is a little monotonous to say the least. my personal favs are `Para Sense-Boomerang` which has got the most killer bass line and effects in it which just builds and builds..wow and the `DMT remix` is absolutely what i was hoping for.My best compilation album yet!! 9.2/10 would have been 10 but for the `Bus` track.. =^,^=
Guest Goa Spirit
its awesome... i heard the 1200 mics in a party at goa over the millenium and wen mad along with a thousand other people/. this album is loaded with killers,, in my humble opinion the best of the naton series... highlights include tripiatrik, 1200 mics, lumberjack, total eclipse, logic bomb... 9/10.... Guest Ubik
For sure the best in the "Nations" series, almost no filler. 1200 mics is amazing, with a killer bassline and crazy acid lines, and it goes very fast. Tripiatrik's track is very heavy with a hard kick and a fat bassline. Lumberjack is one of the best song GMS has ever made, makes you want to jump a lot TE and Oforia tracks are good, but nothing special, followed by another killer by Logic Bomb with twisted sounds and cool fx. And the ending is great, too, a faster remix for one of the best ambient song... 9.3/
Guest damoneves[at]hotmail[dot]com
yeah wicked. nowadays pretty much everything gets boring after three or four listens....not this. And by the way it's para SENSE..paranoic sensations..best name in the business.
Honguito
I'll make a summary of this album, explained with two words: wicked and wonderful! I simply love this compilation. Without any doubts, it's the best one ever released by TIP, and maybe the best one ever released of any label. Almost every track is amazing, but my opinion is that there are a few tracks that go above the other ones: track 1, 2, 3, 4 and number 6. My advice to you: Get out and buy it right now! Guest Acidhive
Can't add anything that's been said before... This compilation rocks your ass off!!! No really, it's one of those compilations that you immediately like. TIP-World is indeed more progressive than TIP Records ever was. Well, what more to say than: Buy the bloody thing! 8,5/10 here!! Guest taz_bletsas[at]hotmail[dot]com
Is that compilation sucks ! Ok, the sounds are new, the bands are quite famous, but each pattern in each track is not original. Nothing is unexpected... I prefer 100 times distance to goa 4 or cybertrance 1... Guest goodgoa[at]mail[dot]com
Logic Bomb's "Herr Ubermann" rules. One of the best tracks i've ever heard. GMS is history, and Talamasca rules!!!!
Guest [Anonymous]
I really enjoyed tripiatrik's track on here, although most of the others rock well enough. WHat I want to know is where can I find more stuff like this? Tripiatrik uses some ripping, crackling sounds that make great textures, a bit like skazi's own rough sounds. Can anyone recommend any other rough stuff like this, I am tired of wading through boring crap.
Guest [Anonymous]
It's not Para Science, its called Parasence and boomerang its their best musik, it just blow with everything
Guest [Anonymous]
The most banging album I've heard this year !!!!!!!!
vision
Well the second release of the TIP's so called "Nations" series is quite good. Style of compilation is variable from night full on sound (GMS,Oforia) and more technogenic sound by ManMadeMan & ParaSense) to more deep (Bus and Shpongle). Some new tendenses for the year 2000 can be heard here and standart material from Riktam And Bansi, Ofer Dikovsky & Logic Bomb. Total Eclipse - 10 Years Of Trance made a pleasant suprise for me, melodic and memorable track. And finally this compilation it contains one of my all time favorites Shpogle - Devine the Moment of Truth. Actually this mix was called "HalLucinogen trance mix" on DMT EP released the same year on Simon's lable Twisted and it is my favorite mix on this thing. So we have a solid compilation here. All trax are listenable and danceable. Not a bad member of the Nation's series.
