Review:

 

A-side...I first heard this track at a party deep into the swedish forests some

time ago. Perfect combination of the dark forest with tall flourodecorated

trees and the tribalistic drums And voices in the track.

Well, this tune of course rocks your indoor sound system aswell. It is a

dancefloor version of the original,

with a steady beat and the special hallucinogen twist on the instruments.

The B-side is similiar, but with a little different approach. The vocals are

kept from the original, but fastened

and with delay fx. There's some added melodies and the arpeggiated hallucinogen

strings are added.

Both are great tracks, that suits very good on the dancefloor.

Btw, both sides of the 12" has got weirdo engravings:

Here we've got the amazing Sphongle track in 3 different versions. Track 1

is the best IMO, and is know from many compilations but the other are pretty

amazing too. #2 - the trance rmx is more melodic than the original but is

not really that different. #3 - The Russian Bootleg version starts of with

the sample only played backwards. I think!?. Has some chants and percussions

too. This remix is actually quite different from the original, but is still

very nice and is MUCH MORE ambient'y. At the end I don't know what the hell

happens but the track turns into a strange carnival-like track with whistles

and congas. Btw, if you're wondering what the significance of the word

Sphongle is, there's a definition printed on the CD. It goes as follows:

whats the russian bootleg means? i know the original mix is the one in the

shpongle first album, that ends with the... samba karnival thingi, is it the

original one and the rest are the more trancy mix or the original one is the

trancy mix?
