Guest shiva[at]telia[dot]com
PPS Project - Dream Cycle Artist: PPS Project Title: Dream Cycle Label: Hadshot Date: 2002 Track listing: 01. 6'50" Dream Cycle 02. 7'00" Amanu Jacku 03. 7'39" Wave Drops 04. 6'45" Swamp Thing Review: Well this is the first cd from PPS Project. This is pure tech-trance, sounds a lot like The Delta but even harder. As you see this album only contains four tracks, so I might aswell write about them all. Dream Cycle starts with some sort of hymn, people singing and then a hard bass and a lot of psychedelic sounds comes in. This evolves to a very nice rythm. Thats pretty much what this album is imo, good rythm. Amanu Jacku reminds me of X-Dream with female computer voices. Wave Drops sounds a bit softer. More clean I would say. It has nice beats, even some tribal drums but still a lot of noise. Swamp Thing ends this mini-cd with the hardest track. Well if you like really hard trance or techno with nice rythm, this is something for you. This should be perfect for the dance floor. Maybe not so good for home listening. Try The Delta albums instead. Best tracks: 1,4. Final grade: 6.5/10.

Guest z-man
its not bad but not that good...sometime boring and they dont have the techno feel of midi miliz and so on... the sound could be better to...i heard a new track by them that was much better and slower with a much better kick.i give 6/
ukiro
I cannot see how this is even remotely similar to delta or x-dream. Sure, the bass is fairly deep and its a 4x4 beat, but the overall structures of the tracks are very different and the PPS tracks have a lot more "nutty psy" feel than any delta track has ever had. I'd say this is more like releases from french labels Turbo Trance or Sub Machine (especially sub004, Tetraktys). The production isn't all too good but on a PA it'll work fine I believe. The only track I really like is Dream Cycle, with it's horror movie mood and busy soundstage. It's a semi-fresh sound from a rather new act, but they have better stuff in them than this, such as their track on the Monarchie II compilation. I recommend this EP to anyone who's into dark, busy full-on-ish nightmusic. Considering that you get 4 tracks for the price of an ordinary 12" or CD single, this gets a 6 out of 10 from me, so it's above average. Guest Minuman
Extremely good and interesting, I pretty much second mad's opinions. Well worth the money, actually this is better value than most full-length albums since every track is a winner here, for half the price. Don't forget to check out the new Hadshot-comp "Hosted Vol.2 -Red Square", two amazing PPS-Project tracks on it too, plus some other goodies. Guest Mescalinium
I don't quite understand all the mediocre reviews of this EP, since the A side has two absolute killers on it (Dream Cycle and Amanu Jacku). Dream Cycle has a great gothic atmosphere with creepy, choral effects, and a hard hitting rhythm section. Amanu Jacku is techier with an absolutely punishing breakdown with a sample of this guy screaming at the top of his lungs. Nice work! 9/10 from me.
