Guest Pit-UFO
Vibrasphere - Echo Artist: Vibrasphere Title: Echo Label: Spiral Trax Date: 2000 Track listing: 01. 08'57" Abra 02. 07'53" Mental Mountain 03. 08'55" Arcs And Sparks 04. 11'08" Echo Plantation 05. 06'40" Moonsoon 06. 07'53" Lava 07. 02'44" Aguas Calientes 08. 09'26" San Pedro 09. 04'10" Eternal Feedback Review: The previous material I have heard from this guys didn't surprise me at all, but Mr. Anti gave me this album and believe me its amazing. A beautiful piece of art that's created as a whole journey. It begins with a really cool progressive-space-dub track and then explodes into some serious progressive psychedelic trance that reaches its peak at the "Echo Plantation" WOWWWWWWW!!!! what a track, a must for every party at the zenith of the night. Then second part of the CD starts with slower tempos and tracks that take their time to grow but never fail to touch your feelings and keep you flying deeper into space, ending with another delicious dub track. If you are into Noosphere, X-Dream or Atmos go get this one. 9.5/
akindo
I don't have this album yet, I haven't seen it anywhere, but I must say that this is the only album I have REALLY looked forward to. I have their three previous tracks: "The Open Sphere" from Destination 8, and then "Nowhere" and "Autopilot" from their EP on Transient. These guys came before Atmos, and if you listen to the sound in these three tracks you will realize that this is probably where Atmos got inspiration from. I hope I get this album soon... Guest Epic Automata
I'll keep it short: Sounds like Atmos - intelligent, conceptual, "morning-ish" - but with really poor production quality. Great ideas but they sound hollow, like the album was recorded through a three-band equalizer. Very disappointing, especially after all the hype. Guest AlexG
good album. Epic, i think you're wrong about the production, sounds pretty good to me. all the trance tracks are good, but i'm not really into their dub stuff. somewhere between atmos and noma. 8/
GaySatanicHippie
Reallt, really good album. It manages to be floaty and bonecrushing at the same time. You could listen to this to go to sleep or it could blow any dancefloor up. I really like the dubtracks, too, especially San Pedro. BTW,"Cactus Point", the b-side of their recently released 12" "Mental Mountain" is also a great track, anyone who likes this album should get the 12 ". It's really worth it for that track. Guest dj_auryn
a really nice album. dubby fx layer over some typically scandinavian trance beats. although his production is not up to the standards of ticon or son kite, his strenght is definitely the emotion and atmosphere he creates in the layering of synthesizers over his tribal trance percussion. Smooth.
Guest [Anonymous]
Hey Epic, which record were you listening to? The production skills of these guys are superb. Learn to listen.
Guest Goa Spirit
Another strong release from spiral trax... Vibrasphere brings us a very diverse album, which is nice because it sounds really good together.. It starts off with a very downtempo track which i didn't like too much.. track 2 is where it kicks off... very nicely made track this and definitely quite full on.. a nice atmospheric feel throughout the track, with pleasing sounds and nice BASS. Arcs and Sparks is next and is a killer... electric and dark, this track sets the pulse racing.. a lot going on throughout this track and definitely a floor filler.. This is followed by a great track - plantation.. Plantation is one of the craziest tracks i have heard recently and is one of those songs that just takes a hold of ones body and hurls it to the limit,, for the pinnacle of the night this one// it doesn't get much harder than this.. can't wait to hear this one at a party.. monsoon follows and is a good follow up to the craziness of plantation.. more atmospheric again.. perfect for grooving and has that electric feel to it (like all the tracks in this album).. Lava is next and is again a great track.. this one is more for the morning though with nice melodies and generally has a real uplifting feeling to it, the kind of track that makes one smile.. the cd then goes back into downtempo after this.. San pedro is the one that i liked out of the last three.. but my interest in this album is more with the full on tracks,,, a lot of killers here and a definte buy i must add.. spiral trax brings out another killer album... 8.5/10 (i would have given it a 10 if it had some more full on tracks)
Guest smokeBuddha
I agree with dandoo. Tracks 1,7,8,9 suck. But the rest of the cd is top-notch. Recommended for anyone who loves psytrance that gives off incredible atmosphere. 7/
Guest phase418[at]hotmail[dot]com
This is a top-notch release! Just got this in from the PsyShop, and it is a pure listening pleasure for me. I my main musical intrests are AMBIENT, DUB and PSYTRANCE...so this album is an excellent sythesis of the 3. More light than dark, a little bass, and plenty of Space. tracks 2-6 are progressive, not-crunchy but bouncy tracks...with beautiful dubby echos and atmospheric sweeps flying above the mix. It sounds like Gabriel LeMar sat in on some of the tracks. POTENT, SMOOTH MUSIC. You can listen to the whole thing at home, in an easy relaxed kind of daze - and I know the full-on tracks would charge up floor just before or after sunrise. it's realaxing and energizing simotaneiously. I love the ambient tracks, and think the whole album flows nicely as a whole listen with no bad tracks. Vibrasphere is very talented ambient makers. Howver, in future releases, whole trance albums and whole ambient albums seperately would be okay with me, and appreciated by people who don't enjoy the ambient tracks. 10/10 ...this gets the highest marks for my head
Guest phase418[at]hotmail[dot]com
Spiral Tracks has had a VERY STRONG start as a label. I am impressed with their taste, talent and quality. For me, the best of 2000 was, without question, on Spiral tracks. LOGIC BOMB, NOMA, VIBRASPHERE, ATMOS.... a whole new spectrum of psy-trance frequencies. Guest Kikbert
I love this Album. It´s the last CD I´ve bought since a year or so and I think it´s so fucking brilliant especially Echo Plantation that I just can say Run to your Music Dealer and get this piece of art. Guest Epic Automata
I may have gotten a hold of a lemon copy, but I'm not the only one to say that the mid-range is almost invisible on this album. Maybe I should return my copy, since I trust your people's opinions.
freak51
Where it's filler, it's awful. Where it's good, it's pure a neo-Scandinavian gooseflesh factory. Worth the money, easy.

Guest Mescalinium
Wow. Before I got this album I had never heard of Vibrasphere. I basically picked it up b/c of the excellent reviews above and the Spiral Trax imprint (always a sure sign of quality!). After extended listening to this masterpiece and subsequently picking up every Vibrasphere single I could find, they now reign as one of my favorite groups. The album starts with an extemely dubby downbeat track with some great melodies and staccato bass rythms. It has a very reggaeish/dubby feel which I definately like. Very very chill. It seems like a curious introduction to an album, but then the beginnings of Mental Mountain begin and you realize you're about to be taken on a ride, an awesome ride! A brilliant bassline opens the track with subdued acidy sounds in the background. Then all of a sudden...BAM! The beat kicks in. Yes! That's what I like! The song is a bit monotonous, but in a good way. Extemely hypnotic, but with some nice breaks as well. A long quiet intro begins the next track Arcs and Sparks. A bit more old skool sounding, but equally good. A groovy song with more acid sounds coming in about half way in. The next song, the archetypical centerpiece of this album, is absolutely stunning. This eleven minute monstrosity is epic in every sense of the word with precisely intervaled breaks slowly building the tension. While the first half completely dominates the lower end of the audio spectrum with a completely hypnotic echoey bassline, a floaty morningish styled melody enters about seven minutes into the track. I really can't describe this any more and do it justice. Just listen to it, preferably on a large sound system and enjoy. The next track has a dubby intro then a catchy percussive riff kicks in. It has a fairly heavy bass part but still has a chilled out ambiance which is a nice follow up to Echo Plantation. Lava comes next which is a bit faster than the other songs. It has a lot of spacey sounds, echoey as usual . Nice break in the middle. Very psychedelic, probably more so than any other track. The rest of the cd is ambient, which some people don't seem to like, but I really enjoy. Aguas Calientes is more of a segue/connecting piece than a song. San Pedro has some nice didg like sounds and an acoustic guitar. Very nice. Quite relaxing, which seems kind of necessary after all the heavy dance-oriented songs. Eternal Feedback has a tribal feel, somewhat minimal, but then some (echoey) melodies float in and create a wonderful musical collage. I love this synth line! It's very chilled out, but also has a very serious vibe to it ("serious" is maybe not the right word, but it was the first that came into my head). A perfect close to a near perfect album. I havn't been this impressed by a debut since The Gathering. Really, it's just that good. I also like the idea of a trance concept album, this one being entirely based upon echoes. The cover art is actually supposed to be a visualization of an echo. Overall a wonderful piece of music. 9/
Guest Evilben
In the traditions of Noma, X-Dream or Noosphere ; Highlights are Tracks ° : 2.3.4.6.8 (especially for EchoPlantation that blows my mind). the first ones are hard beated, with a rather dark atmosphere or surrounded by a little melody, that makes you flying beyond the Earth. 8/
