Guest Stormbringer
12 Moons - Elak Javel / Sneaky Suspicion Artist: 12 Moons Title: Elak Javel / Sneaky Suspicion Label: USTA Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. Elak Javel 02. Sneaky Suspicion Review: I really liked the 12" released on Digital Structures some months ago but this EP isn´t nearly as dark and interesting unfortunately. "Elak Javel" (4/10) sounds to me like a very very very long intro and then the track is finally over. "Elak Javel" is just a chugging beat combined with some noises. I know that a lot of the trance that´s made nowdays consist of only a beat and some noises, and in many cases that´s enough, but this track lack something. The two words "Elak Javel" are swedish words. Translated word by word it means something like Mean/Nasty Devil, but I think that Bad MotherfXXXer may be better? Anyway... I expected something harsh and industrial since that´s how the last EP from D.S. sounded but I got something really boring instead. "Sneaky Suspicion" (4/10) is just as uninteresting as "Elak Javel". The same elements over and over again. Minimal Scando... No Thanks! Michael Andresen may be very versatile but I think this EP should never have been released. Guest baboon
a more correctly translation of "Elak Javel" would be "Mean Motherfucker" i think couse the word u mean by devil is; "Djävul" and they often translate mean motherfucker to "Elak Javel" in movies... hehe ;-)

Guest Shaq
Sneaky Suspicion is awesome! I can't believe the reviews above!!! Don't listen to them..they are wrong! SS is an excellent minimal/progressive track - but u need to hear it on quality speakers to fully appreciate it. Get the EP for this track alone, its well worth it if you like dark, powerful, minimal trance. 8/
Guest Reflekshun
Wow i can't believe all the negative reviews! I was expecting Elak Javel to be a prologue to sneaky suspicion - but NO it is a GREAT tune in itself absolutely brilliant! Stomping kicks, with this awesome tribal feel with those continuous deep and subtle tribal drums. I must admit this would be more of a warm-up track than a killer dance track - but that's perfect for the EP! SS IMHO is not what i thought it would be - you really need subwoofers for this baby i think. But there are some VERY cool synth work in here.. nice EP 7.5/
