Guest Acidhive
V/A - Electric - A Concept In Trance Artist: Various Title: Electric - A Concept In Trance Label: Medium Date: 2002 Track listing: 01. 07'10" Silent Sphere : Electric 02. 07'59" DJ Examino And Setherian : Philosofiction 03. 07'49" Sesto Sento : Sentomental (Visual Paradox Mix) 04. 07'43" Atomic Pulse : Vision Quest 05. 07'38" Herbal Essence : Waterkant 06. 07'35" Silent Sphere : Confuse 07. 09'20" Symphonix : Druids 08. 07'32" D-Vei : Nation Review: A solid release again from Medium Records (now to be called: Midijum) Once more DJ Bim delivers with a collection of progressive & smooth tracks. Starts off with Electric, and Silent Sphere really does kick off well. Like the synths in this track. Next up a usual DJ Exanimo tune, kicking, lots of bass and progressive ofcourse. Sesto Sento follow, but this is remixed by Visual Paradox and thus ends up being a bit smoother than the original. Atomic Pulse deliver their usual style, and I understand why people get bored of this after a few tracks. But, as a filler up here it does the job quite well and it IS a nice track Herbal Essence use weird vocs in this track and a more tribalistic feel. Pretty well done. Silent Sphere kick off again after that with another cool track. Somewhat faster than the previous one and this one really does a fine job with those gregorian chants. Nice! Symphonix use some strange samples which I guess have to impersonate druids speaking against each other Nicely done this, and I find this better than the first track I ever heard of this artist. ("Really" on Goa Head Vol. 17) D-Vei end the comp in style with Nation, which is a GREAT track and has an absolutely cool intro to it. In style this really sounds a lot like Tegma can sound sometimes. And .. that's not a bad thing! Not when it's as neatly executed as this track anyways... Well, since I like all tracks on this... Hell, 9/10 here. (I'm in a good mood I guess)
Guest Psydark Light
bought the compil and I have another cd in my trance collection ...but does it matter ?! I'm not happy with this purchase! (# 01) Silent Sphere - Electric , well the first track of this compil show exactly what is this all about in this album, this is house music , damn ! (I mean , what the fu*k !)--- (# 02) DJ Examino And Setherian - Philosofiction , well this is one of the nicest tunes here , but still not so good , the bassline doesn't work good PARTY SOUND SYSTEM. and still get too much repetition !--- (# 03) sentomental- which is nice tune , but very very boring IN PARTY and IN HOME the track repeat on the same lines over and over again , come on baby , make some changes !!! boredom !--- (# 04) Atomic pulse - Vision quest , come on ! even if this is the better track in this compil , I get boring of this standard , it is damn boring ! man...lets jump to track 5 !--- (# 05) Herbal Essence with Waterkant , man I'm crying !! this is fu*cking stupid clubtrance !I won't even give it respect , I want psy for my money ..and this is not !--- (# 06) MY FAVORITE IN THIS bad COMPIL ! Silent Sphere - Confuse , very very good tune , finaly something good in this purchase ! this is still not so psy , but very nice tune indeed ! at the end it get housy but still good compare to this whole compilation...--- (# 07) symphonix - druids , what can I say .. just another minimal that sounds like slow house music.--- (# 08) d-vei - nation- one of the weakest track I ever heard !!oh man ..this is not psy , this is clubtrance , even less, mini clubtrance ,excuse me! blahhh !!!------------------------------------- bottom line - don't expect something really exciting here , some of the track are really bad , and some are nice , whatever non killasses ! I'm not happy with this purchase! maybe you will , who know... ---overall rate : 5.5/10--- Fav : 6 and.... that's it !
Guest RaverGirl
One of the best purchases I made lately. Medium Records certainly know how to play in between the progressive and full on sounds, that will fit every ear. All tracks are excellent. I can't believe that I'm actually listening to Sesto Sento and Atomic Pulse. Favorite tracks are #6 (Silent Sphere - Confuse) and #8 (D-Vei - Nation). DJ Bim is certainly a great dj - prooven by this compilatoin and by listening to him playing on the dancefloor.
