Mike D
Mr Peculiar - Elements Artist: Mr Peculiar Title: Elements Label: Tribe-A-Delic Date: 2002 Track listing: 01. 07'38" Tribes Of Resonance 02. 07'06" Bouncing Brains 03. 06'47" Ritual Horizon 04. 07'26" What Is Real ? 05. 06'56" Digital Humanoid 06. 07'13" Dynamo 07. 08'27" Source Of Rah 08. 07'20" 1000 Tablets 09. 08'07" Last Chance 10. 03'44" Crunchy Nutter Review: All I can say is a big, resounding WOW!! This album is amazing, Australian does have a reputation for being "weird" but not this. I am not going to go through this track by track, as there are no obvious favourites. If you like the full on sound, then you will love this. It is very professional, but still contains the element of fun and energy that we need today in goa. Mr Peculiar is for sure to be a name to reckon with in this scene of ours. I now believe that the Australian production is by far one of the best in the world. Congratulations to Mr Peculiar and to the Tribe-Adelic team for this amazing product. Also a big cheer to all the other members of the Australian scene for providing all the artists the opportunity to present this material and thank you Mr Peculiar for all the amazing parties I have been to :-) 10/10 !!! Guest Jason - Los Angeles, CA
Not too familiar with Mr. Peculiar, but let me say that I picked up the Tribe-adelic Liquid CD and was truly amazed and happy to hear that thumping sound coming out of my speakers from the Peculiar tracks. I love the Charlie's trip song. Will somebody please tell me where to pick this up in LA or online? I want to hear the album. If these songs are anything like the Liquid songs, I will have this on my favorites list.

Guest karlospereira[at]hotmail[dot]com
This sort of records never come out here in Cancun Mexico, and we do know a lot of stuff here. We urgently need a brand record store, cuz we don´t have any. Instead we´ve got a lot of artists and parties really often. Think about it and give us a hand. Cuz we love GOA. Guest Motorman
Great album : reminds me a bit of some of the better Infected Mushroom tracks, but mixed with many other influences. Mr Peculiar has created some really good-vibes-party-sounds over the entire CD. ALSO the CD cover is very wicked, why cant we see it with the review? Alot better than the first Tribe-adelic compilation (LIQUID). Great music and I look forward to more releases. btw, this was mastered by Fractal Glider. Guest [:dMtkid:]
Overall, a very refreshing album is presented for us to enjoy. The tone of the album is uplifting and really fun. Tribadelic has a winner on their hands who will continue to provide the full-on scene with something to keep their spirits going in the midst of the minimal craze. Guest sacredwhisper[at]hotmail[dot]com
Mr.Peculiar is the hottest artist coming out of Australia. This guy will cause some serious mayhem when promoters start flying him overseas. This album is solid from start to finish and the last 2 minutes in Dynamo is the closest sound I've heard to the epic track Magus-Mind Control Implant in a while. It blew me away. I can't get enough of this sound and will be playing his music everywhere I go. Boom DJ Billy The Kid

Guest the dank man
All the reviews above are bullcrap -- please don't fall for it. All I really have to say is in track 2, he uses Cosmosis' words from "Just Say No". Since this is not a remix, this is called RIPOFF / PLAGIARISM. Please don't buy this album and support that sort of behavior. this is completely against the psy vibe. Did he think something blatant like that wouldn't go unnoticed? If you don't believe me, just download track 2 (it might be 3, I'm not sure, and download Cosmosis' just say no)Besides, the album as a whole totally sux. It's melodic, esp. toward the end. completely uninteresting. nothing fresh about it. below average and commercial stuff.
Guest Mr Peculiar
EXCUSE ME !!!!!! RIPOFF / PLAGIARISM. ......that is a lie !!!!!!!!!! you dont think everyone has access to the same samples ???????? did i rip the samples off cosmosis ?????.......NO so you can say the same about cosmosis....he took the samples from the very same place i did sure !!!!! this has nothing to do with the samples that he used as i only heard his version of the track after my song was pressed and ready for release !!!! just cause i happen to have a few samples from the same source does NOT mean i have ripped it off at all ..........why would i try ??????........... your opinion is more than welcome ....even if it is not a positive one....alll reveiws are welcome BUT when you say that ive ripped OFF cosmosic you are very wrong and are moving into the realms of SLANDER !!!!! does the fact that somone used "take the blue pill".....or whatever sample make them a rippoff of GMS or any other person that used a matrix sample ...... i think not Its fair to say you dont like my album .....but to go on and call me a RIPOFF / PLAGIARISM is just incorrect !!! so the samples are the similar ........BIG DEAL !!! they are used in a completly different way and my track other than the forementioned samples is nothing like the original .......... please disregard this persons opinions and make one for yourself BOM
Guest the dank man
I'm not gonna get in an argument with you Mr. Peculiar, but making sure you're not using the same samples is part of the job. There are websites which list psy "lyrics" adn it was your job to make sure. How can you prove it wasn't intentional? I'm glad if it wasn't. Sorry for strong review. I just really hated your sounds, so when I heard the familiar samples, which are not similar, as you say, but exactly the same as Bill's, it just made me outrageously mad. Guest helium
saikosounds.com have it, that's where I got mine....========================================================= This album, well, I dunno quite what to say about it, but it's terrific and has a sound all it's own- one of those style's you'd recognize real quick in a DJ set! Very very dark, moody, a bit "restrained", and somewhat monotone sounding while being "melodic" and varied at the same time-- has almost a "minimal" beat and rythmic flow to it but with a cornucopia of melodic layers and sounds and so forth++++++++++++ he use some great sounds and builds the layerzez in very very nicely- the 5th track blew me away the first time I heard it on headphones, great sound panning and that vvvvwwwooovwwwyyyeeeuuuvvvvvvwwwooomm "vector" sound is *so* very phresh!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Now for the critique: the bass is very much the same from track to track- the monotone, plodding, bumbuddabumbuddabumbudda sound which is very tho a track or two with a crisp bouncy bizambizambizam sound would've been cool... This be his style tho so who am I to say he shoulda done something different in some tracks?! %%%%%%%%%%%%%%&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&%%%%%%%%%%%%%% Listening with headphones: The sound production I think could use a bit of work- the sound panning and oscillation of volumes of the layers is very good but it often sounds a bit 2D, or like it's coming out of a tunnel towards you, as opposed to being all around you--often the layers are a bit mushed together, so that the sounds have very little "space" between them- you know what I mean? A good album for contrast is the Psycraft "Gravitech" album, where each layer occupies it's own space and is very very seperate and distinct from the other sounds around it- the "atmospheric sound"- I dunno how you mofo's do it and the I'm not saying the sound isn't fabulous, but it could've been a bit better...[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} This album is growing on me at each listen, and has become my #1 choice for innerspace headphone exploration in the evenings- liked the 5th track the most at first and now each and every other one becomes more amazing after continued listening--thx Mr Peculiar, and have fun riding the forthcoming wave's!!!!!! Guest helium
I have to ammend my previous review-- this album is effin mind-blowing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The complexity and layers are just incredible, each song is like an epic adventure-----headphone listening is a must, there just so much going on^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I compared the closed soundstage to the open one of Psycraft "Gravitech" but I don't know that that's really fair since "Elements" has so much more going on, way more maximal and involved.@@@@@@@@@@@%%%%%%%%%%%%@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@AAAAAAnyhow this is one you've got to hear several times cause you just can't take it all in at once, much of it's bound to go right over your head----------------------------------

This is a cd that can be played over and over, something new will trip you out everytime. Mr Peculiar hopefully we will see you all over the world, at many outdoor festivals this year. Guest Xymaths
Superb, really bouncy, trippy and full sounding-kind of reminds me of the full sound from 99-2000. If you like Koxbox and GMS together with excellent production I suggest that you get along and buy this. NOT recommended for people who like tech trance or minimal-this is real psychedelic trance!
