Guest Silonc
Guys, i loved this album for me the Best of the Year. It's funny, because my favorite tracks are 2,4,5,8. Guest psytrancer
This is one of those albums... sometimes I think its average and uninspired, and sometimes I think its cool. But I think generally it's just average. I listen to it once a month, maybe I.M. have spoiled me. Maybe I'm infected. Haaaaa ha ha haaaaa ah ah haaaaaaa......................shit. Guest Tequila
This alum is particular because...first, I found it unoriginal, with nothing particular, but the more U listen to it, the more U like it. That's why I'm listening a lot to it. great.
Guest Ubik
Less good than Silicon Trip, which is excellent, but still very good. All tracks but 9 are good, tracks 1,3,5,8 are excellent.
Guest [Anonymous]
Another fine release by Seb. This one is less melodic and cheesy than "Silicon Trip" and at the same time one can hear that he has tried to experiment a little with rhythms and things, withing his style and without going over to another one.. I like it sharply.
Guest Kvin2000
Great album. Has Somewhat of a tribal ambiant feeling to it. Almost all tracks are good. My favorites are 1,2,4 and 8.
Guest Stathis_gti
Very different from his previous album "silicon trip".In my opinion is much better. No stupid melodies here and more tribal...8,5/
freak51
I hate electric guitars too. Please, the guitar is not an instrument anymore; it's an effect. Use it judiciously or not at all! [says the Grumpy old goa-head.] In my day, we had the 303 and the 909 and filter matrices that's the way it was and we LIKED it! We LOOOOVVED it! Anyway, this is still an excellent record, if only for the production values. Just when your mind starts to think "what trick or sound would work really well here?", sure enough he uses it. Between Worlds is a fantastic track [well, until he shovels the guitar into it].
Guest X - Dreamer in NYC
This album was bought just because there was nothing to buy and I needed something new to hear and man I made the right choice. This album is very dark and fast just the way it should be. Shakta you have made my week. 8/
Guest Gollum[at]nybro[dot]dk
First time I heard this album I was pretty disappointed after Silicon trip, but you get to like this one too. I don't know why, but that track 9 ... I can't hear it enough, really lazy =) ... 7/

Guest Per Sterud
Very good album. Shakta's sense of layering, rhythmically and melodically, is masterful and rich. This album spoke to me. I'd give it 9/10, subtracting a point for awkward recording on Track 1.

Guest AlexG
wow, some of the rudest reviews on the whole site seem to be gathered around this album! whats wrong with you people? fuck this, fuck that, cant you see it doesnt change nothing? just say if you like the music or not, everything else keep to yourself. now, about the cd: verry nice! from all of seb taylor's projects (shakta, somaton, digitalis), this is my favorite album. all tracks are very good, and have that seb taylor feel you cant mistake for anything else. my very favorite, though, is "the enlightened ape": sooo powerful, the arrengement makes me go crazy every time. also very nice are "the future's now", "human life", "between worlds", and "brainwash nation": ooh, that bassline is soo sweet. load your brain with grass and just suspend time with that one dub bassline =) 9/

Guest aagnes_stian[at]hotmail[dot]com
Ok. I was a little bit rude. It is just that i got mad when there was not so many good rewiews about the record. So sorry for that. My personal opinion about this record is that it is great. Fast psyked but funky in a small way. Enligthed ape is the record that got me into psytrance. All because there was a link to dragonfly records. by the way. I still listen to it. bomble
I was more than a little annoyed at the release of this album - not because I don't like it (I haven't really listened to it properly) but because I had my hands on a full track promo-copy in (yes) March 1998. I am not a DJ - this was in a record shop - so I expected to see it on the shelf with a nice cover and everything within a couple of months...... but it didn't appear for another 18 months !! By that time I had lost interest in waiting, particularly when all the trance press (Dream Creation etc.) had adverts running saying things like 'and Dragonfly have rushed to put forward the release date of this all-new album.....' I can't say I was too pleased about this ! I appreciate that there has to be some delay between production and release, so Seb could do live sets etc..... but 18 months ! Maybe someday I'll give it another chance .... but there are other things out there I haven't heard yet.... bomble
Guest WiZ
It's a great album..cool! 9/10! =)
Guest rx7style
This album is really neat. Different style, and I like things that digress from the norm. I really like Zevel Boy -- really busts my sound system up! You can dance to this, chill to this, whatever! Buy it. 9/
Guest fheierli[at]mails[dot]ch
It's a very good album. Shakta is now one of my favourite artists. His sound is powerfull, melodic and very trippy. In fact of this, Enlightened Ape is one of my favourite albums. The best tracks in my opinion are 3,5,8,9. Rating: 9/

Guest clark_303
At first, this didn't impress me that much but after about 10 listens it starts to get better and better. It's groovy and also hypnotic and. The basslines are great and the acidlines/melodies are Shakta's typical sound but I love it so it's just perfect...The tracks are pretty much alike(except the last track which is dub) but all are still great. Actually, everything is the way it should be, beats are varied, even tribal, melodies and sound effects bring the goa/scifi-atmosphere and vocal samples will brainwash you in the end. =) My favorite tracks are Human Life, Zevel Boy and Enlightened Ape. -Clargoa
seraph
Very good album.....Not as good as SILICON TRIP but still very powerful itself...Shakta changed a bit, from INdia oriented from the first one to more cyber, european style...All songs are good but especially THE FUTURE IS NOW,SPACEFLOWERS, OF THE ESSENCE, ZEVEL BOY, BETWWEN WORLDS... 8.5/
