mahoney
Electric Tease - Fever Artist: Electric Tease Title: Fever Label: Automatic Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. Fever 02. Sizzler Review: The more trance and house oriented side of Transient, Automatic, seems to be releasing some real quality music. "Fever" takes of very pumping tribal and groovy but evolves into a more atmospheric and really wounderful track. I just love the use of the woman-voice sample coming in, it floats sooooo nicely and it´s really beautiful and the great drumming coming in doesn´t make it worse. The percussions and drums is very housey in a very good way, very powerful and top quality production! "Sizzler" is another tribal story which slowly builds up and makes the drums stronger and stronger. This one is more trancey then the A-side, but it still got the house groove and rhythm and actually also some short lyrics. Nothing compared to the A-side though, which is really great piece work. It could work as warm-up music at some psychedelic-parties, especially if it´s hold on some club. If you like any of the progressive house music, then I don´t think you´ll get dissapointed, the a-side ! is real quality...
krelmatrix
100% agreeance with the above reviewer....one of the best 12"s of 2001. "Fever" is a brilliant tribal progressive psy-house piece that *never* gets old on the dancefloor. Beautiful wisping vocals in the breakdown that build into a massive percussive explosion. "Sizzler" is a decent tune as well, but not even close to the dancefloor killer as the other side. "Fever" makes this one worth buying at all costs. Find it and get it. 10/10. Guest DJ Supernova
i agree with the reviews above. i know this isn't for everyone (if you're only into full on psytrance, pass), but for people who dig the borderline progressive-psy style, it's a good buy. 7.5/10 for Fever. BOM!
