Jeto Posted April 14, 2001 Posted April 14, 2001 V/A - Firewire Artist: Various Title: Firewire Label: Optimus Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. Pasolator 5000 : The Last Gun-Star 02. Ticon : Marmite On The Keys 03. Soul Pitcher : One Way Ticket 04. Manufacturing Consent : The Green Lab 05. Lock Clock : 50 NIS In The Back Yard 06. Hack-Tor : Mesame Mucho 07. Z-Domain : Siesta 08. Soul Pitcher : It Aint Over Till The Fat Lady Sings 09. Z-Domain : Keep It Cool Review: Optimus Records have been releasing some killer stuff this being included. It has a great intro by Pasolator 5000. "Check Check" Anyone know these guys ? Who are they ? Moving into that typical Ticon percusion tribal feel. This track sounds very much like all ticon style tracks. As he has made his mark in the industry for his killer beats and beyond. Progressing into Soul Pitcher These guys are just great. They have some tracks featured on Humus Conspiracy 2 Mixed by Dj Yaniv. These tracks are perfect for progressing into morning. Just driving with subtle thoughts of melodies. Manufacturing Consent does a track called The Green Lab This one being really hard and driving... very deep bassline and get some nice sounds creating something quite intresting... if your looking for something diffrent maybe this one might intrest you for sure. The next one by Lock Clock.. The track has such a killer name... Its NIS which is Israel money... the bassline being a little wierd/// didnt care for this one too much yet... The rest of the tracks have those similar new bassline sounds... Getting into them slowly but surely.. I would say this CD has some great music on it... I would get it since its cutting edge new sounds... Enjoy! Quote
Guest puzzled Posted April 14, 2001 Posted April 14, 2001 how can 'new-style' stuff be a regression? Quote
shahar@isratrance Posted April 15, 2001 Posted April 15, 2001 X - elent!!! Highly recommended- music-wise, sound-wise & production-wise. My full review in Isratrance. I don't feel like cutting & pasting. Bom! Quote
Guest GoBliN Posted April 15, 2001 Posted April 15, 2001 it's an optimus compilation (chakra's label). not so good as the first optimus CD. Quote
Guest a_ozi Posted May 21, 2001 Posted May 21, 2001 This generally kicks arse... mainly home or morning floor. Its all really clean fresh music for those with a roaming taste for newer sounds. Those psy/techno/house/melodic/prog influences are all here, and its playing right now. Get it IMSO Quote
Guest DeeJay Jones Posted May 25, 2001 Posted May 25, 2001 just get it / buy it !!! best track is either Soul Pitcher - One Way Ticket or Hack-Tor - Mesame Mucho !! 9/10 Quote
Guest Drunken Rumz Posted June 3, 2001 Posted June 3, 2001 Only heard Lock clock, a lil minimal for my taste's but i luuuurve the base line, kinda rolly-polly funky monkey wibbly !! yay Quote

Guest moander[at]media[dot]mit[dot]edu Posted September 4, 2001 Posted September 4, 2001 manufactoring cons. is 3.turn, who is authentik, and they are the only good track on this compil Quote
Guest shagbagboy Posted September 18, 2001 Posted September 18, 2001 All the track are so f**king great(if i may say so)... The minimalistic sound takes another step foreward... This album makes me feel so good!!! Quote
Guest Acidhive Posted February 7, 2002 Posted February 7, 2002 Yes indeed... great album here from Optimus records... Especially the Soul Pitcher tracks here absolutely rule.. Wow!! Great stuff... all of the other tracks are great too... minimal, yet faintly melodic in places..! Wonderful combination here! NO bad tracks make this an excellent buy... 9/10 from me here...! Quote
Guest tonid[at]tonid[dot]net Posted February 19, 2002 Posted February 19, 2002 I got this CD recently, only last saturday, and I'm listening to it about 5-10 times a day every day . If this is the direction in which trance is going now, I'm going with them! . Concerning the people behind it, Manufacturing Consent is indeed Stephane Hoareau and Jocelyn Jaigirdar - the same as Authentik (and 3.turn I believe). Soul Pitcher, Hack-Tor, Lock Clock are all the same person: Haim Levi (with Rami Shapira - Chakra - in the case of Hack-Tor). Z-Domain is Shay Pur and Rami Shapira. Pasolator 5000 is Guy Gerber. If anyone knows these names from other acts, please say so Quote
