Guest AslaK
Psyside - First Contact Artist: Psyside Title: First Contact Label: Acidance Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. OGM Red Alert 02. Day Of The Beast 03. Lost Soul 04. Mint Taste 05. Galactic Law 06. Ghost Or Goul 07. Hysteria 08. Krusty Burger ... With Cheese 09. Last Train To Nowhere Review: Usually, I don't make reviews, I just read them... But I saw that nobody reviewed this album, and I think it's a really great one. I won't review each track. I'll just say that's that this album has quite the same style as the Neuromotor's Neuro Damage. I think that Psyside are also french guys (like Neuromotor). At least their name sounds very french : "Jean Phillipe Bord & Jean Luc Silvestre". So... this album is very powerful, with kicking-ass kicks & basslines... For sure, there's some dancefloors-killers on this album ! So run to your CD shop and listen to it !!! BOM SHIVA !
Guest Neuromotor
it s a fucking good one ,never stop that my friends all the people who like weird and full on should have this album bravo
Guest Maskalin
Well...its a big change for psyside, they progress in thir music alot and this Album reflect their proffesonal !! the CD is very good with nice sounds and psychedelic vibes my opinion is 8.5/
Guest --==MileS==--
I wasn't too convinced maybe because it indeed sounds an awful lot like Neuromotor and the other 2112 progressive artists outthere although fortunately Psyside are somewhat more faithful to their psychedelic roots. -First Contact- is nowhere a bad showcase of programming skills but no sign of utterly must-hear briliance eighter imo. Safe purchase if your tolerance level can still handle more 3dVision Style stompers than legally allowed. 7/10.

Guest moander[at]media[dot]mit[dot]edu
Day of the Beast is real good, the rest is so so, I mean none of it is bad, but I still prefer "virtual reality" much more than this...
Guest vasyachkin
sounds half way between pleiadians and wizzy noise - very good ))

Guest Kent
one of the best full on album since long time...high energy and original style...9/
Guest --==Miles==--
Progressive is not necessarily a genre but a mere indication that it is different than the old style, which it in Psyside's case is. Progressive Jazz, rock or metal has nothing to do with progressive minimalistic stuff from Scandinavia...Its not exclusive to Psy and has different meanings...so there
Guest want[at]intersting.basslines[dot
good stuff. i especially like the subtle melodies in track 3. only thing is though----artists, PLEASE find a way to transcend the 16th-note-bassline rut. i guess we have xdream to blame for starting that whole phenomenon a few years back... Guest bubunotsets
i think neuro damage is more atmospheric.first contact is a bit better composition wise(more intelligent imho)

Guest FelipeLemosBrasil
VERY GOOD RELEASE!!! Psyside is one of the best artists in his style, agressive, fast, psychedelic, total LSD!! I like it a lot, best tracks for me are Day of the beast (with The number of the beast-Iron Maiden sample!), Krusty Burger, Galatic Law...but all are good!! I think its 100000000 times better than Neuromotor...here the noises makes sense.... 9/10.
Guest diablo_mxmn[at]hotmail[dot]com
full on trance to its (almost) maximum level. o.g.m red alert: 9.1/10 day of the beast: 9.7/10 (where is the number of the beast sample?) lost soul: nice melodie that tries to fuck up with your mind... - 10.3/10 mint taste: 8.7/10 galactic law: too much high freqeuency's here - 7.6/10 ghost & soul: i like the bassline (but i think it would be much better for the track if psyside would have played with its filters) - 9.6/10 hysteria: bad melodies in here, it sounds like psyside invited theire neiboure to make a track (by himself) on theire equipment - 5.1/10 krusty burger with cheese: same as above - 5.1/10 last train to nowhere: can you taste the darkness? - 7.9/10 the whole cd: a nice trip to the darkside of trance music in full(on) speed! - 7.9/10 yours truely - psychedelic teacher/psy-t
Guest Defbydelta...
i LOVE Full on when it goes like this and thats why it should!! the heavy Parasense fealling comes on u sometimes and that neuromotor style rolls in like a wave from heaven and turn u up side down.. and u just wanna know what journey the next track gonna take u whit. Kicks like wave shadow has and Fuzz Gravity whit that rolling bass line ROCKS!!! (sometimes) if they r built up like this. Ladies and Gentlemen i think we got a 10 / 10 here
Guest Stimpski
This album is one of the best i've ever heard! This is psytrance at its best! It's not exactly the same as their previous work, what doesn't mean it's not as good. Their new sound is even more professional. If you #really# listen to this album you can do nothing else but be overwelmed by it! (or you simply don't like this genre)
Guest SjÖgGe
this is pure full on wicked psycadelic monster trance, its in class whit neuromotor-neuro damage, and from the same label acidance, im suprised becouse i think this is much better then their prewious work, so all party people buy this album and enjoy, the journey will never stop..10[
