Guest Dimitri
V/A - Force Artist: Various Title: Force Label: Shiva Space Japan Date: 2002 Track listing: 01. 07'58" Shiva Yama (Bikaya) : Children Of Memunosis 02. 06'47" Exail : Panik 03. 08'10" Total Skazi : The Drum 04. 07'12" Shiva : Chtkara 05. 07'34" Skazi And Lemurians : Way To Culcutta 06. 06'37" Shiva Kompset : Activate 07. 06'46" Sozial To (Ol) Shiva : Inca Quards 08. 08'16" Shiva On Psysex : E-T = Art 09. 05'39" Sinister Assotiation : The Monster Has No Tooth 10. 04'53" Shiva : Laughing Man Review: The first ever Shiva Space Japan label release invites you " to commit our whole self to the restartion and fulfillment of the earth according to the law of time for seven times seven generation to come, may got the truth be our witness". Mostly tracks were created by Jorg Kessler himself in collaboration with other artists ( I mean tracks 1, 4, 6, 7, 8, 10). I personally think that doesn't work well in such matter but don't forget who is a founder of Shiva Space sound system. " Force " seems to be dancefloor-oriented compilation with massive bpm rate ( up to 163 bpm in track 9) and agressive technoish sounds. Only two tracks were written by Japanese musicians (tracks 1 & 9) so don't look for newcomers from Hokkaido region. Otherwise mature artists helped to secure compilation to be on touch. Highlights are: tracks 1, 2, 5 and 8. Best sample " Time equals art " (track 8) fits very good. Finally not bad at all for another sublabel. My personal rating is 5/10. I'd like to reccomend it to SST fans first of all. Others would probably not accept it. PLUR - Dimitri from Ekaterinburg.
Guest Smarthowie
I liked this compilation, even though I am not a really SST fan... But this one is a little bit darker/harder than other compilations I have heard from SST... I really like track 5, Skazi and Lemurians! Not a typical Skazi-track, I am a bit tired of his "usual" style, but this track is great! And the Shiva-tracks are also pretty good, this is a bit more night-time stuff...! And I like the night-time very well... Final rating: 6/10. Recommend it to people who like a bit harder psy Peace from howard in nOrway !! Guest Le Lotus Bleu
T1 : Honest track without more, with some funny, weird &crazy samples & sounds. T2 : Good one, very much skazi sounding i like particurlarly the dark deaf sound like a an elephant trumpetting. T3 :Essentially Skazi sounding , i don?t have discerned the total Eclipse?s touch here, maybe in the rytthmic but not sure, overall honest. T4 : nothing special in this one , very average. T5 : Here are some pure madness resulting mixing tastes of the hard psytrance tones from Lemurians and the adrenalistic powerfull famous Skazi?s bassline. T6 : quite average. A nice use of a kinda moto engine roar sample or perhaps an electric hedge trimming note worthy. T7 :An more experimental stuff with industrial tones than a really psytrance one. I find it perfect to catch an headache in the minute. T8 : This is the big highlight of the cd, probably one in my Top 3 from Psysex. T9 : Definitively not psytrance at all but kinda neometal with some synths. Only for Psytrancers with metal background, so not for me. Comparing to this one, Metal Drops from Lemurians is a pure jewel. T10 : To close up , Jörg succed to produce a quite interesting dark ambient track. Highlights :8,5. Favorites :1,2,3,10 mark: 6/10 mainly due to the Shiva-Psysex track
