This album is very eclectic, that's due to Jens Buchert's musical background : Lounge, Drum N'Bass, Big Beat and Latin, French,Electro,Acid & alternative influences. The two key words of the overall production of Fruit Machine is SOFT and MELODIC . What does it give track by track ? Sine & Worm has a kind of big beat rythmic, little soft riffs of guitars and some woman vocals. Silent Fish is done in warmer tunes with a most discret & slowest rythmic with also woman vocals. Qui Passe starts with woman vocals , it sounds nu-jazz a bit more than the previous one. Tropical is the weirdest track of the album, composed of a melt of latin vocals, acid bass. ; It's got the most electro influences. Rising day opens on vocals woman & drum n' bass rythmic with also some man samples. Some trumpet notes samples can be heard and nu-jazz keyboard, one of thealbum's best track. Fruit Machine drag you soflty into a darker ambiance, more electronic, it changes a little from the usual nice & warm tunes from Jens Buchert. Bar Code goes on with the same style as previous track with one step forward into electronic and dark atmosphere. With Desert Taxi, Jens Buchert comes back with his warmest tunes, soft riffs of guitars, and some woman vocals in french (très suave), another peacefull and relaxant stuff, a very good one. Bossa Del Nueva got very warm bass,a woman whispers words, and has a slow tempo. Down Again is very much faster than previous,a woman is singing a little. You also hear Drum N' bass rytmic and nu- jazz keyboard melody, another good track. Syncopia starts with a woman speaking, electronic influences are more present here. Sonar has some violins, and some voices coming out from from nowhere like sirens, this track is a bit dark and with electronics effects. This album ends with a bonus track but i won't talk about it and i will let to you discover it. So, give this album a chance, have at least ONE listen to it. Guest [Anonymous]
This Album Is Electronic Music... And With All The Technology out Now.. It's Not Hard To Make Anymore.. Some Samples.. Some Drum Beats.. A Sequencer, And Your Set.. However I Do Agree, It Is A Nice Change From Most Of The Glitch / Noise Albums They Call IDM.....
