Guest Deku81
V/A - Full On 4 Artist: Various Title: Full On 4 Label: HOM-Mega Date: 1999 Track listing: 01. 06'56" Infected Mushroom : Psycho (Live Mix) 02. 07'20" Passenger : The Race 03. 07'17" Yahel And I-Zen : Waves Of Sound (Edit) 04. 07'20" MFG : Tsunamillenium 05. 06'30" Psysex : The Evil Turkeys (Censored Version) 06. 07'57" Xerox Feat Passenger : Angel Kaya 07. 08'10" Freeman : Just Making Noise 08. 08'07" Green House Effect : My Old School 09. 06'52" Xerox And DJ Goblin : Highly Classified Project Review: looks like hom-mega has a good stable of artists these days, as you can see in the tracks list. the IM track is much like the version on 'the gathering' , just some slight changes with the samples and some sounds. passenger track is good and the yahel track is very good! love it. mfg sounds like they use to., psysex and xerox tracks are good too, only a little downfall on track 7.. freeman isn't as good by himself as with xerox i think. but then comes the big surprise.. green house effect (anyone ever heard of them??).. this tracks is actually awesome!!! easily the best track on the compilation. not too much annoying sounds and very straight on.. love to hear more from those guys!!!! last track is also nice with dana scully (i think?) being sampled. overall a very nice compilation, and so far the best of the full on:s.. rating: 7/
Guest Infected Max
Yahel And I-Zen rules... Some people wonder who is I-Zen. It's Erez Aizen from Infected Mushroom!! Very very good compilation!!!! 9/
Guest Dreamer
Infected's Psycho (Rmx) alone worth having this compilation. new sounds and samples that makes you think its unbelievable they did it again with the same track.. although its less "brain stretching" version than the original track but I'm sure that anyone will enjoy hearing this track more after he heard the original Psycho more than 100 times.. and if we didnt have enough of Infected, I-Zen gives us another great track with Yahel. I liked MFG/Passenger tracks too and I always liked the track Highly Classified Project, sort of a happy track. oh and someone asked here about Green House Effect - its Itzik Levi aka Sandman. 7/10 Dreamer. Guest mrsyed
I like this comp but I feel cheated. Why could they not release it as a psy sampler instead? Full on series should contain unreleased music. Eyal, don't do this again! I will buy your products but keep true to the series.
Guest mrsyed
I just got an email from Eyal justifying or defending argument. To clarify things, what I meant was the 70% of the tracks would be released in upcoming albums or compilations from Hommega. Now, this has not been the case for the other full on series. And I feel that this should be then appropriately titled coming soon or something along the line, where Eyal could showcase choice cuts from the upcoming releases. In the meantime keep em' coming while remaining true. Thanks for reading the comments cos you are the remaining label with consistent quality. freak51
I dunno - I think maybe the stereotypical Israelian trance sound is, dare I suggest it, getting old? I find myself wishing for more psychedelia, more flow, more intricate melodies and some changes in the synth noises. If you enjoy the stereotypical/classic [depending on your point of view] Israeli trance sound you are going to need this record in your collection. If you already have a couple of dozen from Hom-Mega, Krembo, Phonokol, Trust in Trance, Yoyo/BNE Records then you don't really need this one IMHO. Pity, because I thought I'd never tire of this stuff. Could I be ... getting old? Gasp! I find myself enjoying Detroit Techno more and more .. hopefully the newer Psychedelic Techno coming out of Germany and England will slow my drift back across the Atlantic. I do still love to sounds that make my hairs prickle, and have a soft spot for the sort of clever transitions one can only find in Goa/Psy Trance. Children
GOOD comp ! My favourites are Tracks 1,3,8, but Track 6 is also good ! Other Tracks are not Bad, but there are some bad points on each of them : strange music transitions at the end of the MFG Track ,strange vocals in the Psysex one, Freeman Track slightly lacks of variety and has a repetitive bassline ... Tracks 2,9 are simply average ... but Tracks 1,3,8 are very interesting ! My favourite is Track 3, but the Psycho Mix is also very good and the Green House Effect Track is my favourite Sandman Track ! I like this new style Izik ! Guest jsbedard
Maybe all tracks are excellent on this compil. Psycho remix is a masterpiece. I-Zen and Yahel rules too. Only tha fuckin' sandman's here to waste the good work of the other artists. His track sound like a cheap techno?/house track. Very easy repetitive melodie and a simple bassline. Like all the other Sandman's works, it lead nowhere...Psysex ins't that great too, but it's okay . 8/
Guest uforia.1[at]email[dot]com
A pretty good compilation. However, a couple of tracks suffer from yappy sample-itis, namely tracks 5 and 9. I've noticed that Psysex tends to put in a lot of overly long and yappy vocal samples in their tracks, which are intended to sound humorous, but end up sounding stupid and annoying. "Highly Classified Project" has too much yapping in it too, but at least it's only at the beginning of the track. Best tracks are "Waves Of Sound" and "Angel Kaya". Both tunes have been slowed down a notch or two, and have very emotional melodies. Also two thumbs up for the mix of "Psycho" which is a definite improvement on the original, which I felt was too much build and too little breakdown. Overall, worth picking up. #2 is still my fave though. 7/
Guest Psychotoons
TO:jsbedard@hotmail.com i for once agree with you "you littlefuck", this is the shityest track that sandman ever made only if we could take the time back ah?? : ) and give the place to other artist. good point ! probably the best track here is the freeman "just making noise"
Guest clark_303
What's wrong with those angry kids(too much speed and XTC or just bad childhood?)? =) I don't see anything wrong with Sandman's track Maybe he's not the most original artist out there but at least it's not cheesy and it works as a piece of music too. Otherwise, very good and easy tracks(not that complex or psychedelic, just the driving Israeli-style). Freeman has ruined the ending of his song by a stupid melody, it would be a lot better without it. Yahel&I-Zen give us a rather clubby song but it has some nice grinding sounds and makes you smile(I normally dislike all euro-trance melodies but it works here because it's well produced). Angel Kaya is very progressive and that euroish melody works although I was quite shocked at first...It's still a very beautiful song. Nothing special to say about the other songs, they are great. Buy it if you want melodies and you do like the easier Israeli-style. -Clargoa

Trance2MoveU
Artist: Various Title: Full On Vol. 4 Label: HOM-Mega Productions Date: February, 2000 1. Infected Mushroom : Psycho (Live Mix)2. Passenger : The Race3. Yahel And I-Zen : Waves Of Sound (Edit)4. MFG : Tsunamillenium5. Psysex : The Evil Turkeys (Censored Version)6. Xerox Feat Passenger : Angel Kaya7. Freeman : Just Making Noise8. Green House Effect : My Old School9. Xerox And DJ Goblin : Highly Classified Project "What about their intention? Are they a friendly people?" Well, yeah sure. They're nice enough. Just dumb as f*ck. And racist. And they don't believe in science. Oh, and they call themselves Christians, but f*ck the poor. Whooo. Is it just me or does it feel like this alternate reality with Emperor Orange has been going on for half a decade? He just keeps proving how utterly incompetent he is doesn't he? I know it's wrong to want to see the president of your country fail, but let's face it this prick has got it coming. A little less than half the country is going to eventually wake up and try and chew it's arm off to escape this bloated wildebeest. So....Full-On. Volume four. Normally I would stay away from the fourth volume of anything, but I think we all know I'd review a ham sammich if I had the time. Yeah it's full-on, but guess what it's back when it wasn't loaded with carbon copy paste sh*t. Tracks actually go somewhere. In theory. Psycho was back when IM still made psytrance and goa and not whatever the f*ck they're doing now. Psycho is a great track, but this track putzes around too long before the climax. That climax tho...pretty good. MFG with less Aharon Segal delivers a track I've never heard and I'll be honest I liked his album For All Mankind Better. I usually stay away from all things Yahel, but this one was very involving. Tsunamillenium sees MFG transitioning nicely into subpar full-on. Oy vey that key change at the end. Psysex continues it's crusade to remove deep, meaningful psytrance from the world with an enema of South Park samples. The first half of Angel Kaya is just lazy as f*ck, but then these guys turn it into some type of Dutch anthem trance track. My head's starting to hurt. Just Making Noise is actually pretty psychedelic, but the final couple of tracks are just...there. There is nothing here that will remotely stay with you. Nothing. As a matter of fact, I would bet that this review will stay with you longer than anything regarding this compilation. If there was a picture in the dictionary of what mediocrity would look like this would be it. *puts finger to earpiece* I just got a message from the HOM-Mega PR department. Haters gonna hate Mr. Wayne. Haters gonna hate.
