Jeto
V/A - Full On 5 Artist: Various Title: Full On 5 Label: HOM-Mega Date: 2000 Track listing: 01. 07'55" Sandman : End Of The World (Green House Effect Rmx) 02. 06'58" Maskalin : Loud And Proud 03. 06'00" Infected Mushroom : Red Filter 04. 08'23" BLT And Future Prophecy : Rat In My Kitchen (BLT Mix) 05. 08'02" Psysex : On A Mission 06. 06'11" Gorlation Corporation : You Are It 07. 08'29" Cosma : Floppy 08. 06'45" Illumination : Crystals 09. 07'56" Power Source : Goaway 2000 Review: Ok here we go.... This sweeps into melodies... lots of harmonic changes and uplifts...and then a small glimpse of the old melody...There is something missing though, because this sounds very empty to me...Then we go into a Maskalin track... very groovy subtle melodies.. lifting you up slowly with that very typical isreali sound bassline..a nice break...Into the Infected kick... lots of filtering breaking into that know most typical infected sound.. Bass and Drum interlocking together.. with those uplifting kind of sounds.. just going everywhere... I feel they mess it up by those "Blues" kind of sounds...into some deep analog sound...The Blt and Future Prophecy starts... nice atmosphere.. killer break.. going into these very new sounds.. Psy-Sex had a nice intro.. into these sounds that just stick into your brain...into this thing that is so called very old school sound...and then mixing some nice melodies into it... Gorlation Corporation bringing some very new sounds to my ears.. havnt heard much of thier style.. but very nice one by them, The Cosma track starts very nice one... Nice samples. good atmosphere.. very catchy track.. Illumination started of nice and then i dunno what happened... Power Source gets the outro with Goaway2000...the name says it all.. Nice subtle melodies... with a nice groove... ending this CD with a 7/
Guest connor[at]mind[dot]net
in general a, a less than average release. I liked 4 tracks, but the album itself was not too impressive

mars
At the begining, I didnt like this compilation very much....but i've changed my mind now. Beware: this is only Israeli stuff. Remember the name: Full On! So imagine this compil is really conventional psychedelic music...and I think this is really good. tracks 1-2-3: great great great!, 4-5: always the same for those artists..., 6: excellent!, 7: nice try, 8: good, 9: too oldschool but okay. My favorites are 1-3-6. overall: 8/10. for psychedelia lovers.
Guest Isra-Alien
Yuck! What a disappointment! Only by looking in the tracklist you can see that it's the weakest compilation in the series. Tracks 1 & 9 are both horrible remixes to two Israeli classics; T2 in okay, nice kickdrum and melody; T3 is Infected - the best here (like always), but Red Filter isn't one of the highlights. way to short. why didn't they continue building it after the melody break? tracks 4,5,7&8 are pretty average, but number 6 by Gorlation Corporation is spuriously good, I didn't liked they earlier stuff, but this one is decent. Overall, don't spend your money here, go and buy Psychedelic Electronica 3 instead.

Guest full on disappointment
here in the uk we have a law called the 'trades descriptions act', which means that if what you buy does not equal what it says on the packet, then the supplier can be prosecuted.with this album,if it wasn't for tracks 1,4 & 6,hom-mega would definitely end up being sent to prison for a v. long time!-tr 9 is especially offensive-hom-mega have totally blown it with this one--never trust them again! Guest Kindgok
The end of "Red Filter" is cooler than anything I've heard on a psy compilation for some time -- the polar opposite of what I regard as "club shit."
Guest mrsyed
It all comes to a full circle, Full on 1 to Full on 5, back to quality on released tracks. I was so dissapointed with Full On 4 that I hesistated on buying this til now. I am glad that I bought it, this version redeems the less than impressive selection of Full on 4. Starting the Sandman club mix( if this is club from Hommega I can't wait to hear more) to the almost experimental break and segues of floppy. It's exhilirating, dizzying and certainly a fun ride. So for those people who enjoy those crappy unemotional tech, minimal trance by those souless artists, stay away from this. To those who love psy trance of yesteryear this is it. A full on rating of 4.5/5.
Tatsu
This is the only Full On sampler I own at the moment (but I've ordered the other ones) so I can't tell if its better or worse than the others. But I have to say that I love this compilation a lot. I'm a general fan of israeli trance and the Hommega label so maybe I'm not very objective but so what.... My favourite tracks are End of the World by Sandman (really a killer melody i think), Red Filter by Infected Mushroom and Goaway 2000 by Power Source. If you like Israeli (melodic) trance then you are right with this compilation then you are right here, if not then better listen before you buy. Guest entei[at]kolmio[dot]org
as i was considering to buy this cd i read these reviews and i thought that it was probably very crappy... but then i bought it anyway. at first it sound like much, in a fact it was boring... but after listening this for a couple of times i got into it and now i love full on 5. my overall impression of this comp is that it´s quite calm and whole...
