Review:

This is a very good compilation, one of the very best I have if not the best.

The songs fit very well together and all follow a certain style, making this

compilation sound almost like an album. Very powerful and hard full-on

stomping with a lot of acid riffs and some melodies, but not that many sounds

(there are still most of the time some background noises, but they remain in

the background). This is great, energetic dance music and not very visual, but

still emotional and enough trippy. This is neither bright or dark, but

something between and visiting both sides. Though this is the first CD of

MDMA, an Israeli label, the sound not quite the usual Israeli style, but only

slightly in that direction. (Well, all the artists aren't Isreali either.)

Only track 8 is typical Israeli. The Tracks 1, 3, 4 and 5 are awesome. Very

powerful. Tim Shuldt has a really good combination of chords played with an

acid sound on his track. Tracks 2 and 8 are very good and 6 and 7 are good. So

there aren't any even average tracks! I've listened to this compilation almost

everyday since I bought it (I found it for the equivalent of $3 in a big

record store a few weeks ago!!!) and it is a good CD to be listened all the

way through. A very impressive debut from MDMA! 8,5/10.

I bought this cd back in 98 and after a hiatus of nearly 4 years I dusted the

cover off and put it in my Cd player. Wow-nice creepy melodies-the types you

dont hear anymore, full power type stuff and that Tim Shuldt song brought a

tear to my eye. That Lagoon track sounds better than any Absolom stuff today,

bit more catchy and alot more psyschedelic. Many of these tracks are so good

Im going to play them in a set of mine next weekend-Only the Talamasca and

Xerox track-cellurian rmx are duds-the rest-dance floor killers!

There's some serious magic in this stuff! I got a cosmic orgasm while listening

to Tim Schuldt and Talamasca traxx recently... and without drugs!

Just let me guess that "Spiritual Moves" (1999, MDMA) is yet better: it does

really contain all those stormers (tracks 1,2,3,4), but also is heavily

induced by four another thrilling Israeli morning tunes by Indica, Freeman,

Liminus & One Man Game. So, it creates truely marvellous trip in the labyrinth

of colours without any mids & lows offered here, even considering these tracks

(6,7,5) are rather good as well. But Spiritual Moves does it better!
