Guest Psylent Buddhi
V/A - Goa Inside 3 Artist: Various Title: Goa Inside 3 Label: Connection Date: 1997 Track listing: 01. 06'09" The Visitors : Reality Check 02. 08'07" Slide : Alien Hitmen 03. 09'08" Element Over Nature : Cyber Reality 04. 06'21" Ominus : Acid Tester 05. 07'14" Process : Internal Horizon 06. 08'05" Cyberkrist : Crossworld 07. 07'25" GAD : Savisuudelma 08. 08'25" Omen : Rajdoot 09. 10'29" Reflecta : Itchy Witches Of Androgenetico Review: A rather strange collection of tracks that are very different from eachother. The compilation begins with The Visitor's "Reality Check" which is typical, weird Australien music from Psy-Harmonics. Nothing special. The Slide track is okay and so is the E.O.N. track. "Acid Tester" by Ominus very nice. I just love that bassline! Process' track "Internal Horizon" is one of my all-time favorites! So deep and psychedelic. It probably takes some time before you really grasp that track, but once you do Process shows us the beauty of our inner horizons ! Crossworld is pretty good too, reminds me a bit of some of the UX stuff! GAD is typical weird finnish music, and definantly not my cup of tea. It seems to me that Savisuudelma is more funny/hilarious than psychedelic! Omen's "Rajdoot" is a nice, on-the-border-of-being-minimal track. It has a very nice and phat bassline! Itchy Witches Of Androgenetico is soooooooo mad! This is Psy-Harmonics when they are best! Simply fantastic! To sum everything this is an okay compilation, although it's a bit old it's worth buying if you spot it. Especially since it's a bit old now, one should be able to find it to a reasonable price! Guest jussi.ollikainen[at]pp.inet[dot]
Yeah, Process is really really great, but so is Omen. Internal Horizon is the best track on this comp., but Rajdoot really kicks some major butt. I don't think it's that minimal, Internal Horizon is IMHO more minimal than Rajdoot. Anyway, surprisingly good compilation, I would have left some songs out, especially Savisuudelma. It's not that bad after you get used to it, but it's definitely not a good song! I also liked Reflecta's song. Took a while though. The rest are just about average songs, so, about three really good songs. Buy it, try it. Guest johnny[at]kelvin[dot]com
I think that the best track on this thing is Acid Tester, the beat is really good.
Guest dreadcore[at]hotmail[dot]com
When i first got this record at the store, i listened mostly to the first 2 traxx, and thought those were the best. But even today, a long while later i still find new traxx and parts on this compilation that still surprise me alot, and are real good traxx. A nice compilation because its variating from wierd Finnish new psychedelia to artists like Slide and Process. In my opinion a good buy, alot of different styles, and The Visitors - Reality Sheck is a damn sweet track in my opinion. Still i would like if they put on stuff from Pelinpala & Texas Faggott from the finnish scene insteed of O*Men & GAD, but they are truly worth it and are definitly my cup of tea....
