Guest Stathis_gti
V/A - Halluci-Nations Artist: Various Title: Halluci-Nations Label: TIP World Date: 1999 Track listing: 01. 08'58" Paps : Vibes From The Other Side 02. 09'50" Atmos : The Only Process 03. 06'14" Total Eclipse : Are You Abducted? 04. 07'40" Phoetus : Sparkling Soup 05. 06'30" Antidote : Killaz 06. 08'40" Process : Blue Moovies 07. 07'05" Voodoo People : 240V 08. 07'26" Tripiatrik : Tripiatrik 09. 09'31" Bus : North By North West 6 (Top Deck Mix) Review: I cant really say if this is a good compilation or a bad one. This is up to you. Many people dont like TIP's sound wich is too hard with no melodies at all. This comp is not an exception. But it works for me.3 killer tracks from Paps(1),Tripiatric (8)and Total Eclipse(3).Those tracks are psychedelic Madness!!!!What about the others??Hhhhmmm.....not as fast as the previous ones.....Voodoo People (7) is not as good as i expected.I liked the Antidote track (5) a lot...7,5/
Guest Infected Max
I don't agree with Stathis.. This album seems like the rebirth of TIP. I know that many people still expect the old TIP style but it was time to refresh the Trance style...no More Man With No Name...(till he will decide to change his keyboards sounds). Pap's, Tripiatrik, Total Eclipse And Antidote (aka Total Eclipse) are killer...but Stathis forgot another killer track....to me it's the best of the compilation.."Atmos - The Only Process"..What a killer track....!!! This summer everybody played it (especially in the Zen festival in South Of France) And it's an incredible track.. I strongly believe in Atmos future!!!! Very psychedelic style...full progressive Trance...Awesome. 5 killers (really killers) tracks on a compilation is very rare nowadays....that's why i'll give 8/10 to this compilation
Guest AtomikElf
i really liked the opening song - cool intro to a cool cd. i agree with max...song 2 is cool as hell, song 3 stands out, 4 is pretty cool and song 8 is superfunky stuff!!! 7.5/
Guest Dreamer
I was so HAPPY when I first heard this compilation... Especially because of the track Killaz by Antidote (Total Eclipse). What an awesome track!!!!!!! I heard this track when Total was playing here in Israel a half year ago and since then the those screaming analogue sounds had a longtime place in my mind.. I was so happy to hear it again ) and yes, The Only Process is also a killer but its already overheard and used in many compilations... Paps's track was also played alot in parties, a brilliant dark night track.. Good to have it released I'll give it 8/
Guest Ubik
Not the usual old TIP sound, and that's right that melodies are not really developped, but it's quite cool after a few listen. My favourites are Killaz and the other Total Eclipse track. First two tracks are also pretty good. 7/
Children
Well ... I don't really like this style ... not real melodies in these Tracks ... However I can't say Tracks are Bad, but none of them is really interesting for me, cause I don't like the style ... Listen to Tracks 2,3,5 before buying the CD ... they are the best ones here ... if you don't like them, don't buy this CD ! Rating : 4/
Guest Cnt97
VERY nice album. 8/10. Those of you who don't like this, don't like psytrance at all. THIS _IS_ psychedelic trance.
Guest Dr Rhythm
Excellent - I love this especially the Total Eclipse track - 8/
Guest Tequila
track1: excellent.very powerful, not that melodic, but it's not a problem:) a killer. track2: not exceptionnal.good but a little basic according to me.track3: probably the best track of this comp.also a killer.I like very much this new total eclipse style.fast, powerful, and also melodic..perfect!track4:can't remember it...probably because there's nothing unforgettable in this track.track5: like a lot.still the total eclipse style here but with something added..hum, particular..and good.track6, 7 and 8 are also really great.all that makes a really good comp, with many killer tracks.i would give 8/10 I think, but maybe isn't it enough.. Guest Trance Spirit
Beuurkkk... THis compilation stinks. Especially Paps, the Warhammer of Trance. Awfull and useless, as always with him. TIP lost his head. This product is the worst ever realised by this label. Buy it for Atmos... 2,5/
Guest janr[at]adam.com[dot]au
Antidote : Killaz is wicked. Tripiatick's track will make weird guys dance like chickens (i'ts happened twice). Bus is funky, phoetus is kickin, Total eclipse is good too. In fact The whole LP (6 tracks) is very good stuff that I will actually play a lot. Well except for the Voodoo People track, yuck. Guest Ehsanur
After their many splendid releases, I just can stop falling in love with TIP-Likewise I did with Dragonfly, Flying Rhino,Dragonfly and Twisted. Ahh.all that sweet loving. Om shanti. Eshanti Brahman
Guest Ravemail10
Anyone who doesn't like the Paps track should go listen to the Backside Boys Seriously, though, this compilation kicks major ass. No real melodies, just force. Paps is a goddam steamtrain. Most of his other tracks suck, but this one is really really good. 8/10, Extra crispy. Guest Ubik
A little update to my review above : this comp really kicks ass !! 9/
Guest [Anonymous]
I can just agree with the above!!! Paps keeps giving me goosebumps everytime I return to him!!
Guest slinker
Pretty good compilation....not quite as good as Divinations but a worthy buy...the tracks that stood out for me were Paps (despite the critisism above) Process ..and Bus (wow what a track!!) oh and the Tripiatrik tune is pretty cool too...not totally mesmorizing but an interesting addition 7/10 =^,^=
Guest slinker
I strongly reverse my opinion that was stated above due to tha fact that i must have been off my F*cking head writing it!!....This album is by far the best TIP compilation ever and i strongly urge you to hunt it down and listen..closer..closer! my god Atmos!!! Bus (amazing track really sticks in my head) its all mindblowing...my favorite compilation yet..although `Reborn` gets close!
Guest TRISTAN
Process - Blue Moonies is the best track I've ever heard.
Guest pilehiiri
Well.. hmmm.. ammm.. Veeery dark and danceable cd from tip-world with couple of highlights in it: Phoetus, Process (the best track!!!) and atmos, who's track is so simple but still it's fucking great..!! And I kinda liked the Voodoo People track too, I think it sounds more like old Detroit-techno or something than Psytrance.. and I listened Detroit and Monotonic techno and electro a lot before I went into psychedelics.. anyway, great comp..! seraph
I don't like this comiplation that much everyone are raving about...It is good but that is all for me...it is more darker and progressive than other TIP compilations and rather empty at the times...Favourite tracks are ATMOS, PHOETUS, PROCESS, BUS tracks...Rest is very average...6.5/
Guest Bengelibong
I only have one small coment. PAPS RULEZ
Guest local 420
the first two tracks alone make this CD worth buying. paps and atmos are...simply put...fucking killer.10/
vision
this compilation repersents quite standart material for TIP for the last 3 years. List of artist are also more or less usual for TIP (Antidote, Total Eclipse, GMS...). I found only two pretty interesing trax on it, they are Process : Blue Moovies & Bus : North By North West 6 (Top Deck Mix). and absolutely trance classic by Atmos. The only ptocess is the greatest trak by such talanted artist as Atmos. Another trax are uninteresting for me despite their quality is not bad. Maybe Phoetus : Sparkling Soup is quite good dancefloor track. I also expect much better material by Voodoo People, but not this time. So my personal opinion, we have nothing special except the trax mentioned above. Listen to it youself, maybe you find some favorites for you. Vorlon
Alright listen up, it's been almost ten years I'm listening to this comp and frankly put, it's fucking IN-CREDIBLE. it begins with Paps who is (or was, anybody knows what's up with him these days?) an excellent artist with his first release and what a track it is. amazing from the beginning to end. it takes you and doesn't stop. I never heard anything like this.. alien hollow pads are being transmitted from another dimension while squealing sounds are blasting your mind, add to that sword sharp percussion and a changing wooden kick. I can't describe this track accurately, it's really from another planet. it's not your regular goa/psy/dark or whatever track. this track is the shining beacon of the compilation. paps - vibes from the other side. I won't discuss the next track much, you probably all know that Atmos track, and it is a killer. great buildup leading to an insane climax where a sawtooth wave is joined to the bassline to emphasize the beat. it grabs you once and doesn't stop. next are TE. this is a very weird and different track by them, unlike anything they normally do. it's very dark and pumping. VERY dark and very pumping. I like this track, it grew on me. Sparkling Soup is here in the original mix, and this is truly dance time. what a bassline.. that 303.. smoke it, and get high! excellent pounding kick, great percussion - an awesome fast progressive track with haunting echoing voices at the background and phat resonating sweeps on front. another fav. Tripiatrik. after Voodoo People almost put me to sleep I get this. back in business!! a project by Paps and Yumade made for pure craziness.. I love it. reverbing sweeps are all around, pure acid madness with prodigy percussion and crazy voices! once this one takes on you you'll understand. last track is Bus with an excellent track, built on the them of 50's movies, lots of vocals and very interesting samples. it ends the trip with this album in a climax. great. when this compilation came out, I was very satisfied, I felt like the TIP tradition really continues. but unfortunately, that was the last of the good TIP compils. this compilation is TIP's goodbye aliens, next come puppies statement. a very psychedelic compilation which can stand proudly next to Singles 3, Beyond Colour and 3D.
