Guest Stormbringer Posted September 8, 2001 Posted September 8, 2001 Menis - Hamburger Artist: Menis Title: Hamburger Label: Atomic Date: 2000 Track listing: 01. 06'25" Hamburger 02. 05'43" Loading Up The Freeway Review: BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! "Hamburger" (8/10) is one of the meanest tracks released on the label Atomic, and that ponding beat is just incredible if you like Tech Trance the way I do. If you take the spooky atmosphere of the Semsis album "Letting Go" (Menis = Nick Smith and he´s 50% of Semsis) and combine that with some nasty hammering from let´s say some track by Synthetic, you´ll then end up with something like "Hamburger". This is truly a great track if you got some speakers that can stand that kind of violent treatment. If you don´t, why even bother? "Loading Up The Freeway" (3/10) hasn´t got anything of that violent power and it´s pretty dull if you ask me. I don´t think that I´ve ever listened through the whole track so you do understand what I think of it, dont you? This ep is still a neat purchase and I like it a lot, atleast "Hamburger". Quote
Guest Nois Posted September 12, 2001 Posted September 12, 2001 I agree... Hamburger is a great track indeed. Remember Boom 2000? This tune was played by the every second DJ "Loading up the freeway" is a crap. I'd give this EP 9/10 (treating it as an 'one sided vinyl':) - it is certainly worth playing... Quote
