Guest Rumz
V/A - Heavy Mental 1 Artist: Various Title: Heavy Mental 1 Label: Polytox Date: 1996 Track listing: 01. 05'37" Cosmosis : Dans Ta Figure 02. 08'41" Talking Souls : Place On Earth 03. 06'50" Green Nuns Of The Revolution : Cor 04. 07'40" Koxbox : Tribal Oscillation (Prana Rmx) 05. 08'29" Farenheit : Panacea (Cosmosis Rmx) 06. 09'25" Mr Beam : Levitation 07. 06'41" Transwave : Hypersphere 08. 10'45" Rainbow Spirit Feat DJ Sangeet : Sirius Shuttle 09. 08'09" Rhytmystec : Plasmatic Review: The first track is a guitar charged , yet short opener, with a nice twisty melody to it, track 2 is run of the mill along with track 4 , track 3 also takes on the heavy metal type of guitar background, yet to a smaller degree - it has a good acid rift and some nice fanfair sounds, tracks 5, 6 & 8 are nothing special yet keep up the good quality trance on the CD, Transwave do it again with this track (7), a deep spacey trancer, with a much deeper bassline and nice littlle melodies, and the final track starts of obscure and a little odd, in a much more modern way, and progresses to a wierd acidy thing. The best tracks are 1 and 7, although the whole thing isnt that bad at all. Although a tad dated now. 7/10 .
Bor
Only a 7/10 ???? Track 1 is a nice one. Well, i don't know a single bad track from Cosmosis! Track 2 Rulez! Talking Souls = Tim Schuldt, and it's very psychedelic (just play it very loud and dance)! I also like Cor (Green Nuns) very much. Same for Mr. Beam and Rainbow Spirit, both very good for that time! Don't forget this cd is 5 years old. This cd was something special for me 5 years ago. It's not the trance that can easely be labeled, like the most trance of today. Polytox released some very nice 12" maxies in the time they exist, and this cd is the crown on their work! 9/01 ... just because Farenheit and Koxbox (probebly heared it too much) aren't the same high quality like the rest!
