Guest Stormbringer
Slinky Wizard - Hit And Run Artist: Slinky Wizard Title: Hit And Run Label: Atomic Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. Hit And Run (Bus Fuzzy Disco Mix) 02. Hit And Run (Original) Review: I don´t really understand the releasepolicy of the label ATOMIC. They seem to release anything from hard industrial tech-trance to progressive house (well, maybe not? :-D). I think that I have read somewhere that it´s their labelprofile, releasing the best from all genres, but I HATE THAT!!! You never know if the next release will be crap or something you MUST have. I sort of collected records from ATOMIC before this release and I can honestly say that this one made me stop collect records from ATOMIC. I don´t think that I´ve ever been so dissapointed when listening to a psytrance record for the first time as when I played this one. It´s so laidback and fluffy that I just wanted to puke. I know there´s a lot of people out there who likes this kind of progressive club-psy but I hate it. The "Hit And Run" Original (4/10) is better than the "Fuzzy Disco MIX" by Bus (2/10) but I hate both versions. I can´t say it´s crap, there´s nothing wrong with the production, but I don´t want to listen to this stuff, ever! After ATOMIC 014, this release!, they released a remix EP of "Hit And Run". I just couldn´t force myself to buy that one when there´s so much good music out there. Is there anyone who have heard it? Well... if you like progressive clubmusic this release might be interesting but I can´t recommend it.
Basilisk
I disliked all the remixes. The cover art was great however.
