Basilisk
Always Choose Retry is one of the all-time best from LB... so sick and funky!
Guest Stormbringer
Logic Bomb - Innocent Until Caught Artist: Logic Bomb Title: Innocent Until Caught Label: Spiral Trax Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. Innocent Until Caught 02. Always Choose Retry Review: Hmm... The Logic Bomb TIP 12" "The Pawn" got very good reviews here on this site but is this release from Spiral Trax just as good as that one? I haven´t heard the TIP-release because it sold out before I had the opportunity to buy a copy so I can only guess. I might stick my neck out now but I must say I´m a little disappointed. The album "Headware" is really good with several killertrax but this 12" must be some leftovers from the album, atleast "Innocent Until Caught", or maybe it´s some new direction of the bands music style? "Innocent Until Caught" (5/10) are much more repetive than I expected and that lovely level of insanity just isn´t there anymore. Don´t get me wrong now! It isn´t minimal and some people may not understand what I´m talking about. Most Logic Bomb fans will enjoy "Innocent Until Caught" and wouldn´t think twise to chop my head for criticizing this track, but I´m still not too impressed. "Always Choose Retry" (7/10) is a much better track, more full-on and loaded with cluttering percussions. I think it´s energetic and more in the line of what I expected from Logic Bomb, in fact... it´s getting better every time I listen to it! I like the little melody in the second half of the track and the fact that it gets more energetic and builds in intensity towards the end. If they had skipped the first 3-4 minutes I would have given this track a 8/10. I think this release is similar to the "Lex Rex Perplex" EP by Hux Flux so if you like that one you should have a go at this one. But if you trust me you should buy the album "Headware" instead. Tracks like: Extension, Hydrofon, Kilobytebandit, Sub Atomic, Shadow Of The Beast and Halojaner from "Headware" are better in my opinion. The other tracks from "Headware" are great too. Guest Mescalinium
I completely agree with Stormbringer above. I was expecting another monster from Logic Bomb, but the A side left me feeling a little flat. The B side is much better, more complex but its still nothing compared to the pawn remix and time traveling e.t.'s.
