Insejn
Exaile - In Panic Artist: Exaile Title: In Panic Label: Shaffel Date: 2002 Track listing: 01. Intro 02. Suzzy Surprise 03. Tunnel 04. Connection 05. The Mad Midget 06. Tied Up (Rmx) 07. Miss Justin 08. X Ailes 09. Give A Head 10. Hourse Out Review: Exaile = Skazi wannabe? Some parts are identical to Skazi. The bass and bassline is a copy/paste from Skazi. Good or bad? You decide. This kind of psy is very easy-listened. The sounds are well chosen and doesn't fry your brain as some stuff can do. My guess is that this will prolly work best on the dancefloor instead of your home. However he does know how to do those insane pauses to build up pressure. Good job. Final Verdict: 7/
Guest Le Lotus Bleu
After a short nicey intro, you need to wait during the next 2 tracks, as Suzzy Surprise & Tunnel has really nothing soecial to offer apart empty space and boredom ,before having some tasty Exaile stuffs between your ears. Connection, from far the sweetest tracks from the album with some fluffy synths which comes at around 3 minutes and also on the end. At 5:30, some very soft electric riffs are added. it?s probably the more subtle stuff from this album, a kinda morning with dull sound indeed. The Mad Midget has a groovy bassline with a usual up & down Exaile sound and some tones hammered in the background then comes the break and arrives the typical exaile?s sound gimmick : on the same time powerfull & deaf , concerning the melodic sound which follows this it?s quite metallic & boisterous. Here comes the most pumping section of the album with the next 3 tunes. First, Tied Up (remix) very few things to say about it except that?s the typical effective Shaffel?s sound so closer to Skazi?s production especially after the break sample « ladies & gentleman, we?re experiencing technical difficults, please stand by ». Since the beginning, Miss Justin catches you with darker sounds and let guess rougher tones & a madnessss adrenalistic explosion in his build up. All that things expected, happened just after the fucking break with the warning alike gimmick which goes on after & the amazing sample «hey Miss Justin, shake your ass, baby, shake your ass » which completly drives you crazy. Terrible bad news, with his joke on word-title Exaile with X-Ailes, the band didn?t win the « Laughing Academy ». Hopefully, the musical content of X-Ailes is largely betterin the same style as Tied Up, but better with distorted electric guitar riffs and the recurrent, haunting woman sample « dream on » . The 2 last tracks are definitively the darkest & roughest of the album. Give A Head is extreme, draws nearer to kinda mix of hardcore & industrial music composed of sharp metallic squeaking sounds and a bassline which is not far to rumble, to throb, but all in all this one keeps mostly dark full on oriented and don?t go minimal at anytime for my mind. Behind Give A Head, Ten Hours Out seems softer at first. But a grovvy still dark & loud bassline remain, and also a slapping rythmic, indeed reminds a bit of KURO ? Precision but with highly sharped tones added. Best moments :4,7,8 Nica stuffs :5,6,9 In my opinion, it just lacks more tracks like The Mad Midget or stuffs appearing on compilation in the spirit of The Low and Panik, instead of tracks 2,3&9 to this album in order to be a good album, so as a result i rank it as a nice one.
