That song of Etnica is Mindblowing, awesome,...!! The best Etnica-track ever made!! Also 8 is véry véry good! Unfortunately the rest of it is not good... It's kinda boring and some songs are not uplifting enough... So if you already have one of those two killer-tracks, don't buy this CD!! Guest silonc
I am sorry Anoebis, but in my opinion this is a great compilation. The first Tarsis track is an absolute stormer. The Hallodium track is also great with the sample "The Fighting Will Continue" YEAH! Spirallianz is not a very uplifting track, but the energy is all there. The Etnica track-masterpiece, Lotus Omega-incredible, I think that this track brings us to the irresistable meltdown. Noma is the track I like least, but it is still good. Then the final three are all very nice, and bring us back to earth after an incredible voyage. Thanks Antaro!
Guest jonatanh[at]hotmail[dot]com
I have to mention Spirallianz track on this compilation: "Fast Forward". Great track, hard And minimalistic (Spirallianz is the producer behind Delta's album Scizoeffective, and you can definitly here that). Also a killer break in that song that makes me laugh (in a good way). All the other songs are good too except for the last one (RAS : Peace) which I didn't like... Guest djonanis[at]hotmail[dot]com
I agree with silonic, this is a very nice compilation, and the noma tune.. what to say it is just scandinavian...awesome minimal psytrance. anoebis has the true about the etnicas mind altering drugs a killer tune. I have to say that the lotus omega tune is not that good, but tarsis track and naveen Feat morphen are both outrageous tunages.
Guest Ehsanur
Agree with everyone here! "Mind Altering Drugs" is fantastic, a true "undiscovered" killer. Peace.Eshanti Brahman
Guest Mindbender
I should have reviewed this earlier, but just never got around to it. Anyway, this is one of my most listened to comps. More than year back I had this cassette (yea, I have CD too) non-stop in my walkman for more than a month and listened to it several times every day. With the amount of records I have, that is pretty fucking rare. So guess that means that it's a pretty damn great compilation. In the beginning I though this was just rather good (6/10 or so), but slowly it started growing on me. It took me half-a-year to start listening to this daily and then I was sold. Actually that shows how my music taste changed. In the beginning I thought this was too simple and repetetive, but at that time I didn't like minimal or progressive psy-trance. I think this is the record that made me love it (among other styles of psy-trance). Most of the artist here were unknown to me at the time I got this record, but are now among my favourites. Don't expect a too melodic style. There are melodies, no doubt, but the focus is not always on them. Tarsis: Endless Rising has one of the best grooves ever played on this planet. Such a mindblowing stomper, slowly and elegantly building, especially on the percussion side of things. Incredible energy, without being really on the dark side. Haldoium have made a good track here, but they've made better as well. Also driving, but not out of this world. Spirallianz have an awesome track here. While it's not melodic, it's not only rhythm like many tracks on their album. I like both styles a lot. Mind Altering Drugs from Etnica is one of the darkest tracks here, with samples that could easily have you bad-trip, if you happen to be in the mood and tripping. Evil. Energetic. Psychedelic. Fantastic. This track opens up a more melodic, progressive and hard side to this compilation. A good example of what Etnica was releasing around '99, betweeen Nitrox and Equator. Lotus Omega goes on building from there with their insane style, being a good progression from Etnica. It's familiar to the sound on their album. Very good, but they can also do better. Then follow Noma and Matenda, who give us ok tracks here. Like I said, they are ok, but due to the high standard on this compilation, they are to me the weakest tracks here... Still well worth listening and I like them. Then comes the other out-of-space, gift-from-the-gods, unbelievably-awesome track here (the first being Endless Rising): Naveen feat. Morphem: Iridescence. One of the best intros ever, with such beatiful sounds used only once or twice, all fitting perfectly together and creating a constatly changing soundscape, at the same time beutiful melodies slowly come in and the groove lifts its head and before you know a fantastic ambient intro has warped into a great psy-trance track. So smooth, so beatiful. Aaaahhh. I love it! Just listen to it, please, I beg you. The final track RAS: Peace is a good outro to this comp. It's softer, but not chill-out. Oh, no. This comp is trance all the way through. What I need to say here at the end, is that one of the great things about this comp is it's choice of tracks. Each track really fits in with the one before and the one next. Although it's not mixed, this is still a greatly built-up set. And the style is not the same all the way through, but changes just the right amount, keeping it flowing nicely. This is the way I like to choose my tracks for sets, but in a 5 hour set you can bring in even more styles. For one hour this is very near perfect. 9/10. Thank you Antaro for dragging me into the progressive side of the large family of music generally called psy-trance.
Guest fheierli[at]mails[dot]ch
Another great compilation by Spirit-Zone's Genius DJ Antaro. Phantastic CD. There are no bad tracks on it, just full-power Psy-Trance. Just look to the tracklist: Etnica, Lotus Omega, Spirallianz, Tarsis; this artists rocks. It have two parts on this CD. First a harder part (1-5) and then a softer (but not chilling) part (6-9). Both parts are very good, but i like the first one more. My favourite tracks are 2,3,4 (best track on the CD) and 5. But all tracks are very good. I love this work :-) 9/
