The song on that CD (ISMS, pt 1) isn't that great, but you could hear that his music was something different!! And he prooves that on this CD!! It's very various, it goes from good Goa-dance-music till beautiful tribal Chill-out!! The best songs are 3,5 (dance-stuff) and 4,7,8&10 (rather chilly or downtempo-trance)!! If you like RTTS-music than you'll like this!! Bom Shankar
Guest mrsyed
Nice, chill trance, but nothing crazy like Shpongle. Certainly a good effort.
Guest Rox
Super dreaming backgrounds , but i dont like sounds of tb 303 ( im boring with it ) , and there a low quality mixing of layers ( as i think ) . But very good ideas by Bjorn Lynne ! Next album , i think , will be better ! 6/
Guest Slimbo
I have listened to Bjoern Lynnes music since the old Amiga days. He used to make music for the demo group Crusaders, but he also made music for a couple of computer games. Anyway, I think this cd is really uninspireing and uninteresting. I tried very hard to get into it but it never happened. It feels to flat and unpsychadelic and it has that "homemade" feeling. Sorry Bjoern. Guest diabolusInmusica
Really good, slow ambient, tribal goa. A little bit like Shpongle, but not as good! Some really bad sequence lasting too much, but overall...it's really goodd 7.5/
Trance2MoveU
Artist: Divinorum Title: Isms Label: Lynne Music Date: 1999 01. 08'14" Antigravity02. 07'14" ISMS Part 103. 06'45" Communication (Losing You)04. 07'32" Qualities Of Religion05. 08'23" ISMS Part 206. 05'10" Can Your Hear?07. 07'37" We Turn Like Whisks08. 07'15" ISMS Part 309. 06'23" No Surrender10. 06'23" Zen Koan "Isms in my opinion are not good. A person should not believe in an ism. He should believe in himself. To quote the late John Lennon, "I don't believe in Beatles, I only believe in myself." Ladies and gentlemen may introduce you to my shiny diamond! This is a highly underrated release that combines goa, tribal and downtempo elements in a multi-layered tale. The sounds are dynamic appealing to the ear with plenty of head bouncing moments. The melodies unwind over time and thrust the listener into a state of trance. To have come out in 1999 this was something I didn't expect. The album is comprised of danceable moments as well as soothing downtempo grooves. None of which is jarring in the least. Qualities of Religion calls out it's hypocrisies with a mystical slant while Isms Pt. 2 combines a goa framework with a brilliantly alive break. It's not without its flaws of course and I'm looking right at the repetitive We Turn Like Whisks and it's overdone "Maternia" sounding sample. No Surrender sounds a little Yngwie Malmsteen, but it's surrounded by so much other good stuff I hardly notice its shortcomings. Musically it is very sound with great production allowing for an enjoyable straight through listening experience. If you can get your hands on it you shan't be sorry.
