Guest Psy-t Posted March 16, 2002 Posted March 16, 2002 V/A - Israeli Pitch Process Artist: Various Title: Israeli Pitch Process Label: Dance And Dust Date: 2002 Track listing: 01. 08'34" ELF : Elastich 02. 06'31" Insect Sun : Listen 03. 08'24" Triplex : Floating 04. 07'55" Sweird And Visual Paradox : Banana Lassi 05. 08'44" Matenda : Smotan 06. 09'30" LAB : Puzzle 07. 07'38" Dogma 3000 : E2 08. 05'44" PPS Project : Spectral Beats 09. 07'35" Sweird : Techno Weird Review: a very nice cd - minimalistic - not for clubbers ( at least not till this day ) and please note that when it comes to reviewing minimalistic music - i am pretty minimalistic myself, okay? elastich: i think this is my favorite in this cd 11/10 listen: 10/10 floating: nice opening and i like the drum samples that were chosen 10/10 banana lassi: maybe the closest thing to full on trance that exists on the compilation.... but still, pretty minimalistic.... 9.8/10 smotan: a nice combination between hihats/breaks/g.m.s weird sounds makes this one of my fav's on this cd 10.7/10 puzzle: not really much to talk about here.... 8.9/10 e2: i think this is my least fav track in the compilation although it sounds really promising in the start..... 6.7/10 spectral beats: the track name really describes the track better then i could.... 8.7/10 techno weird: i hate the construction in this track and if i could ignore it the track would have got about 9.3/10 but i cant!!! 4.3/10 the whole cd: excellent trance from a new promising israeli label (i promise you an interview with them soon....) it's excellent for parties and if you like listening to minimalist music in your home this cd will not dissapoint you either, so as a minimalistic compilation it get's a solid 10/10 from me but as a compilation (without realation to genre) it get's 8.7/10 from me, p.s. i have a very nice story about how i got this cd so long before it's release and if you wanna hear it, send me an e-mail Quote

Guest Tchankov I.V. Posted December 28, 2002 Posted December 28, 2002 I don't really dig the first two tracks by ELF & Insect Sun being pretty unimaginative. Then Triplex "Floating" starts the trippy part of compilation, thus justifying this tracks name. Quite simple & monotone track to start things off. Tracks 4,5,6 are the backbone of this compilation and the way they work is quite reminiscent of "Transient 8 - Back With The Future" compilation. Not my taste, though, but undoubtly will meet their audience. Dogma 3000 is lame one, strays from the vein a bit. PPS Project's "Spectral Beats" track is my favourite here, I don't find it minimal, but evil percussive. Sweird "Techno Weird" rounds thing off with melody layered track. Well, to conclude, nothing spectacular or extraordinary here, just plain collection of tracks for minimal lovers. Expendable. 6,5/10. Tchankov I.V. (civ604@mail.ru) Quote
