Guest Genetix
V/A - Israeli Flip On Henfield Artist: Various Title: Israeli Flip On Henfield Label: USTA Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. 07'04" Dogma : E1 02. 06'25" Parasence : Tape Label System 03. 08'13" Human Blue : The Clutch 04. 06'21" Aerodance : Kayo Dream (Rmx) 05. 06'39" Insect Sun : The Dream 06. 08'55" Quadra : Alien Influence 07. 07'35" Double Impact : Spice LSD 08. 08'18" S-Range : DNA Trackers 09. 06'56" Matenda : Fantasia Review: USTA (label of the year for me) have released really good things this year (2001) and one of them is this CD. It is compilated by DJ Ashrun (unknown for me) and I expected here to be only Israeli artist, but they are from all over Europe. (t1) They are comimg from Croatia and brings us really groove tune but not so interesting. They are giving best of themselves nowadays, but the result is not so good. (t2) woow what a track from Parasense, very melodically, never expect melodies from them > morning tune? (t3) now we are flying over and lending in a Scandolend. Dag Wallin has brought here nice progressive morning and pretty scary tune (t4) back to Russia. Parasense & DJ ? (I forgot his name) and now we have hard dancefloor burner with interesting samples (t5) I hate Isect Sun. blah. I bought the EP Insect Sun: Low Life / Ghost (Balloonia - 2001) and I was disappointed. My friend told me that they are good but I still don't like it. In addition, I don't like this track, too s! imple. (t6) very good track here. Dark night track with psychedelic scratches everywhere. (t7) new ISRAliens came here with hard and fast track, well known from the parties, one of the best here (t8) best track here. Anthony delivers real stomper here. Best track from him this year. It starts very peacefully but suddenly explodes > heavy kick drives you without the touch of the melodies (t9) again in Scandolend but now with Denis Matenda, deep progressive morning tune. Something strange, on the CD se printed: Artist Matenda : Fantasia ? Overall very good compil except the tracks 1 and 5 that I don't like. Very recommended 8.5/

Guest kzi
definatly underground! came out on vinyl in two pieces - one 2 track EP with dogma and srange - the other a 4 track EP with parasense, aero dance, matenda, and human blue. even more interesting is the explanation of the title... Guest Le Lotus Bleu
A very weird cover for a pretty nice comp. favourites ones are :1,3,4,9. tracks 2 and 8 are also interesting. I'm wondering if the panflute melody on kayo dream isn't taken from famous panflute player Georges Zamfir. Quite good israelian and swedish artits can be found on this comp so 7,5/10. Guest Aqua Mental
Panflute melody in Kayo Dream (t4) is from 'Once Upon a Time in America' soundtrack by the one and only Ennio Morricone. Great movie, great soundtrack, but it's been used too many times in techno culture. Check out FSOL - My Kingdom
