There are some excellent tracks on this compilation. On CD1 it's Shanti Druid's "Insectattraction". Shanti Druid is a compilation between Simon Posford, Sid Shanti and some other guy named Andre. "Insectattraction" is an unbelievable track, an instant classic. Unconscious Collective's "Flurostani Transcendance" is also awesome. Sounds somewhat luminous! And finally there is the "Cathexis" track by Rhythmystec. Really awesome, pounding psychedelia. The rest of the tracks are mediocre except Transwave's classic "Cycles Of Life" and En Trance's "The Golden Way". CD2 is not that good in my opinion, although the two X-Dreams are truly awesome. And the Slinky Wizard track is also quite good. This compilation is a fine example of the 1995-1997 sound. Plur - Psylent Buddhi
Guest shantidruid[at]yahoo[dot]co[dot]
Insectattraction has been a favourite of mine for a while-it's also on Sid Shanti-Aural Sect (in the Deck Wizards series). How come this compilation is only reviewed now? I've had it for ages. Anyway, the early sound is better than the shit nowadays (get out the rose-tinted specs).
