Insejn
Oforia - Let It Beat Artist: Oforia Title: Let It Beat Label: BNE Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. 08'33" Abyssadelic 02. 08'21" Millions Of Miles Away 03. 08'24" Let It Beat 04. 07'40" Into Another Universe 05. 08'41" Alien Pump (Sabotage Mix) 06. 08'20" Gain Bang 07. 07'48" Red Levels 08. 08'04" Lunar Quartet 09. 07'30" Hypnotic Review: First things first; this is more on the house/trancy side. And that means, a little more cheese than we are used to. Anyway, he succeeds to create extremly good groovy beats a some points end then he ruins them by putting in those damned cheezy sounds and melodies. As you can see in the tracklist a mix of Tandu - Alien Pump is made. And it is by far the best track here. You can really sense the old fashion Tandu track. Even tho the original is better. Gain Bang and Lunar Quartet are pretty good as well. Not that cheesy as the first tracks. The last track is better we don't talk about. Yes, it bad alright! Final Verdict: 5.7/

Guest Phaedrus[at]austin.rr[dot]com
This album is an absolute masterpiece! Ofer is back and is as strong as ever!!! A little groovier and funkier than his previous stuff. Some will call it "club trance" as an insult. I LOVE IT! Easily in my top 3 for 2001. Infectious and Lestat are both right - Ofer's music is growing and is fresh - no one sounds even remotely like him, nor does he sound like anyone else. The most impressive thing to me is the perfect balance of diversifying and expanding his style while still keeping the qualities of his sound that we have come to know and love him for - The deep and crazy basslines, metallic synths and those perfectly placed melodies that flutter in and out of everything. In short, a 10/10 from me. Favs are 1,2,3,6, and 7, but all are excellent! Get this now!

Guest seti[at]prontomail[dot]com
Hey people, what's up to you?! Do you talk of the same album I do? I can't believe what Oforia has done to all true oldschool psy-trance lovers out there... cheese fluffy house sounds!! Ok this album might be good produced - but hey, If you all knew the productions Oforia did years before (and wow, which amazing tracks he did!) - you start to think Oforia takes you for a ride! What is this shit?? Track 4 - Into Another Universe AAAAHHHH, what's this? I always hated the simplest repetitive rhythms and melodies of house, and now I think I've bought an house CD mixed with some Oforia-effects... NOOO tell me this is only a NIGHTMARE... ((( Stop with this housy, minimal and 'progressive' sound (a question, how can minimal sounds and monotonous beats be a PROGRESSION over a oldschool masterpiece of sound, which covers the whole musical spectrum, has loads of changes and intelligent breaks, interesting, wicked, sometimes scary sounds, rich musical influences while it's still kicking and danceable?! - ok, if you'd ask me, I would SAY that's because many artisits now realise that they can make more money with this kind of sound, because it's more easy to listen also for 'normal' people ... SHAME ON ALL OF YOU! You're on the best way of ruining the spirit of goatrance! Last words: I have been attending to goa trance parties for 7 years now and I'm sad to say that with all this 'new' minimal, progressive, technoish influences psytrance loses its magic from one of the most interesting, inspiring, mystical, spiritual and mind-opening sound it used to be, now to a music genre like any other played in clubs 3 days a week! Just look at the 'new' people who are coming to goaparties more and more - full-on over-drugged, impolite, egoistic and no spirit (like in the Techno-Scene for some years now) - and in my opinion that's majorly because of those artists want to sell more copies of their productions, so they go a commercial direction with their sound - and with them dies the goafamily! DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN ! P.S. The true underground psychedelic trance will NEVER NEVER die! Peace & Sunshine for all of you
Guest mrsyed
This is a really refreshing album. True it's not Goa, I love Goa, but this will do too. It's a mixture of sound that seems to be like the old school 4/4 beat and progression of Trip to Transyvannia Xdream and a bountiful crop of new sounds some melodic and some not. It's not an album that one who likes very evident buildups to immediately get. Instead it takes repeated listens to really appreciate the album. All I can say is that I think that is a refreshing album in a sea of minimalistic and on the other end clubby releases. However I too would like to see Ofer return to the Goa roots, you Tandu, Sound Pollution, Indoor, Inscape sounds. Those were the days. Guest Goa Spirit
this album is very different.... i thought the remix of alien pump was amazing, while the rest was listenable but i soon forgot it... so i dunno, its not cheesy in my book but also not that memorable... oforia has seen better days, a bit of the fun was lost in this album... Guest FelipeLemosBrasil
Oforia's best album, very mature, the metallic sounds are back! The first 2 tracks are clubby influenced, from track 3 to the track 8 all the tracks are veeeery good, total Isralien style, Harmonies, killer drum, you can identificate all the sounds clearly... Hey Ofer, good vibes from Brasil. Best tracks: 8; 6; 5; 7. Obs: The single brings the Millions of miles away remixed by Infected Mushroom, and it is GREAT, SOUNDS OF PARADISE!! seraph
Good album but he could have done it slightly better...He's got great skills that he just misses here...His first album - Delirious was mindblowing psychedelic trance experience...His second one - Off The Ground was good as well, slightly weaker than first and this one is just weakest...What ever happend to Oforia and his unique style ? The Bets on album ; INTO ANOTHER UNIVERSE, ALIEN PUMP ( ! ), GAIN BANG ( ! ), RED LEVELS...7/
Trance2MoveU
"I find that I cannot think of Earth in the same way since I've been in space." Ugh...listening to this again is like trying to choke down a pinecone. That's still attached to the tree. And the Alien Pump remix? A simple full-on neutering of a classic. I wasn't into psy 16 or 17 years ago when this came out so I cannot say how this went down with the masses, but I can tell you that it does not stand the test of time. Glad someone mentioned this and it was at the top of the feed. Been looking for this style and can't wait to jump in. Only just listened to Read More and sometimes get so into it sometimes doesn't hit the same. Sounds like this might be similar. Will come back with thoughts.
