Guest Psychedelic Gav
Doof - Let's Turn On Artist: Doof Title: Let's Turn On Label: TIP Date: 1996 Track listing: 01. 07'10" Let?s Turn On 02. 06'13" Mars Needs Women (96 Mix) 03. 07'59" Youth Of The Galaxy (Final Demand Mix) 04. 07'36" Double Dragons 05. 07'45" Sunshrine 06. 07'29" Secret Sun (Sunbeam Mix) 07. 08'00" Key To The Innerverse 08. 08'21" Destination Bom 09. 11'45" Star Above Parvati (Bijli Mahadev Mix) Review: Yes, yes, yes!!! The sound of psychedelic trance a la mid nineties. Everything here is classic - this is a MUST. Think back to the happy days of psychedelic trance when you heard a track and were amazed. Think back to the days before superstar DJ?s, cool record labels and inflated egos. Think back to when the music mattered most. Think DOOF. This is a must-have classic. Kicking music for those who appreciate it. Nothing is so remarkable here but the way in which it is done is truly wonderful. Think back to when everything was much more simple. Buy this and dance!!!! Guest Tequila
this album is a must have!! great sound, great music, great melodies, great album!!! the best tracks are Youth of the Galaxy and Double Dragons. excellent. 7.5/
Guest d.mcnair[at]dailyrecord.co[dot]u
Oui,oui, oui!!!I would have to agree with Gav on this one. What ever happened to this man? Does anyone know? The last track I heard by Doof was on the Twisted Eclipse CD and it was possibly the best track on it, totally chilled. I love this album and think every trance fan should have a copy, but not just for Christmas, Let's Turn On's a lifetime mission! He's shit hot live too and bounces up and down whilst playing! Come back Doof!
Guest Ubik
This album is a classic and is quite good, even if it sounds old. My favourites are Double Dragons and Youth of the galaxy, but the first 2 tracks are also very good. Nevertheless, I have a criticism to do : it's sometimes a little too messy, because there are too much sounds at the same time that not always fit together. Guest kevybee[at]hotmail[dot]com
this for me can only be described as a power place especially sun shrine which makes all your woes disapear in an istant, karma tastic peace to all the global trancers shine on ! Guest Mindbender
This is a good album. Very positive, happy and it really does turn you on. This has a feeling of sunshine and just makes me smile. It is also quite 'easy-going' and light. Most of the tracks aren't really crazy party stompers, but they are still very nice to jam to. All the tracks are good. My favourite here is Double Dragons with that excellent melody that comes in first time already b4 the beat; I have it playing in my head quite often and it's great. Angelina and Mars Needs Women are also standouts from the already good mass. Like kevybee above said, you cannot be unhappy when listening to this album! 7,5/
Basilisk
A classic piece of Goa trance!
Guest mahadeva[at]poland[dot]com
This album is Legend. All tracks is very good, but some track is unbelivable. ( angelina, Let's turn on ) Maximum goa. This album is the best. I give 9,5/10.
Guest smg
I just wonder...why anyone hasn't named track 8, Destination Bom as good track. It's clearly most wicked and powerful track on this album. It may sound monotonic, but it really isn't. Sound evolves so nicely during the track. All of the tracks are above average, and most of them are good. Hmm, my cover says that track 7 is "Angelina", not "Key to the innerverse", but duration is the same. Is this a typo by the first reviewer, or are there different versions of this album? 9/10 for Nick Barder of this one.

Guest Ravemail10
In the time of darkness and horror trance, this is a nice break. This cd is so shiny it hurts the eyes to listen to it :-). No cheese too! If you have nothing against uplifting goa(cause i know some people that do) GET IT. If you like uplifting goa and you still don't have this cd GET IT NOW. Why are you still here? A big fat 10/10! Can't wait for the second album to arrive! Bom Shankar! - Raven
Guest dj_auryn
worth the money alone for 'youth of the galaxy' - the first psy-trance track that sounds truly phunky! further highlights include the beautiful meditative 'sunshrine' and the deep 'secret sun', which I still play regularly. Not to mention all those other classics of course!
Guest sysweed
Oh, this is so much Goa! It's packed with good songs like Let's Turn On (the best), Double Dragons, Youth of the Galaxy, Mars Needs Women and more. A definate BUY.

Jon Cocco
FUCKING AWESOME! THIS STUFF MAKES ME HAPPY. YOU CAN'T NOT WANT TO DANCE TO THIS. NOW IS NICK EVER GONNA MAKE STUFF LIKE THIS AGAIN?!, or do we have to live with his new chill STYLE??? (It's About Time), WHICH IS NOT ANYWHERE NEAR AS GOOD AS THIS ONE. MY SCORE= 9 OUT OF 10: exceLLent!!
Guest [Anonymous]
This is it...Pure goa as it should be! And Doof know(s) also the art of 'finir en beauté', what I appreciate a lot. Thank u for this pure bliss, Doof!!
Guest [Anonymous]
Underrated a bit. Should be along the lines of IFO, Twisted and Trust in Trance 3. Yups, it is that good. Best tracks: Let's Turn On, Double Dragons and Destination Bomb. This is what GOA is all about and not the dire monostuff released recently... Guest Yussius[at]yahoo[dot]com
YES, YES!!!! I agree with all of you guys(meaning those who like it also)!!!! I just got home from the recordstore and I bought this record because I read these reviews here... Well, I have been looking for something like Goa-inside 1(the best Old-school goa record I know..)for a long time and Doof does it!! It's ripping my mind to some huge universe (..or something..) 'cause Nick has done something what I personally like big time---- Hard pumping-full-on-old-school-uplifting-GOA-trance! I have listened the record just for one time by now, but I can say that this record an absolute must(AND I MEAN MUST!!!!) for all of you who like that old goa sound and why not for any else who listens to Psy-trance!!!! .......10/10/10.......
