Martin Coopers third album...Notice! This Cd is mixed. Starts with

Stange World. One of the best songs ever, I really love this one!!!Great

Melodies cool bassline and of course those claps...Calimba sounds like

heaven or something. Begins with some calms strings and then comes a ´disted

bassline and a great melodie, I also love this one...Track 3 and 4 pretty

nice, but track 4 sounds a little strange...Track 5 is the only track I

don´t like. Track 6 is a remix of Kalimba, doesn´t sound like a remix but

its pretty nice anyway...And then we have 2 remixes of MFG songs. MY GOD!

This is so f****ng good!!!Especially The sample "I have a Magnetical

Personality"It sounds better than the original. Overload i also great but I

like Magnetic Activity more...If you are into melodic Goa then ´this cd is a

MUST!!! 9/10

oooh this one is old. Back to 96...i thought this cd was excellent. now, of

course it's become kinda out of date. Anyway the tracks are dynamic and well

built, the remixes are great. Now you would call this 'melodic trance'. This

is not really in fact. It looks like 96 Israelian trance. Indeed, if you like

this kind of music, this is a good reference. An oldschool mind says 6/10.

I love this CD, the MFG remixes are nice, and Martin chose the best tracks to

remix. Great classic melodic Goa trance nostalgia. Andromede (1995) is a

better album though, Fatasm (T5 there)rules. There's a new Asia 2001 album

coming up next week- Dreamland.

i love asia 2001 works.. and if uy like

96 psychedelic powerful style this is for you.

The problem is that is very rare to be found original

=(, but if u have a chance grab it. Vote:8/10

"Live" (along with Psykadelia) showcase the best of Asia 2001. There are no weak tracks on here, just pure psychedelic trance at work. I would rate this album higher than "Psykadelia" as a whole, except that Psykadelia has the track Flirt Filter on it which remains my personal favoite Asia 2001 track, vaulting that album slightly ahead of Live. But this cd is fantastic and contains true top-notch work...gotta love it. 9/10

By far, my favorite Asia 2001 album: a lot of great tracks inside (among them "Strange World"(!) "Super Skunk" (!), "Bengali"(!)), still very melodic and emotional with some "asiatic" influences created by the pads & the leads.

 

The two remixes of MFG are, of course, awesome, but what a shame they don't sound very well on this album : the sounds are often hidden by the big volume of the kicks and bass. I guess this problem comes from the "live" recording or version of both tracks. But, maybe I'm completely wrong.

This audio problem still remains a mystery for me...

STRANGE WORLD is the killer track here ! (y) with KALIMBA of course, two great goa tracks. I like this disc but I didn't get why the two last tracks by MFG.

Not my cup of tea since I mostly enjoy last two tracks and they are made by someone else (both are really good, well done Mr MFG). Oh well, moving on...
