Guest Inu
Good balance of oldschool melodic (Macrofactor, Twilled, Gnocchi, Time Slices), and slower more twisted tracks (Space Funk, Chimera Shadow, Costa Del Goa). 8/

Guest moander[at]media[dot]mit[dot]edu
hux flux - time slices rmx is one of the best hux flux tracks ever. A little dated today but still swirly and drivy
Mergi
First track is from Hux Flux and Logic Bomb. Very good track actually, classical hux flux bassline mixed with lot's of crazy shit ranging from twisted noises, and scary melodies. Next track is not as crazed as 'Short Circuit' but it got the right kind of groove and party feeling, nothing very powerful though. 'Twilled' is real good. Very full on, I'd say. Nice mystical feel throughout with psychedelic melodies rebounding. 'Costa Del Goa' is interesting yet very inconsistent, it lacks an overall good flow, but still there's these interesting experimental parts. A bit of a weird track, I'd say. Number five is Miranda's original 'Gnocchi'. I remember I listened to the remix (Northern Lights) which is a little more clear, not as dark as this one. Yet this one is still very good... quite stompy IMO. Nice melodies and a nice overall feel throughout. 'Space Funk' has a good groove, nice rythms and noises. 'Time Slices (Remix)' is another great one from Hux Flux. He's literally making noises take the shape of melodies, and that's pretty f###in' good, I'd say. Last track is from Xenomorph. 'Chimera Shadow' is a rather weak track in the beginning, but it get's better in the end. Overall, Limitlessness is one very good compilation which combines a lot of energetic and twisted tracks, thus making it diverse and interesting to listen to IMO... 9/
Trance2MoveU
"There's nothing to be afraid of. Virtual Reality will rehabilitate your mind and eventually your body." This is the first thing that came up when I typed Limitlessness into Bing. Didn't wanna get, umm...scroogled. Ugh. What the f*ck? Seems rather cult like and very...out there. Or limitless...ness if you will. Awakening to the dream world? You and your oversoul? Transcending dimensions? Or my favorite: Opening your throat chakra. You know what... that fits in with every hippies wet dream of the entire spiritual warehouse that could be goa. At the very least you might get some useful track titles. I can only think of one word that could describe this compilation when comparing it to a lot of others out there. Underwhelming...ness. Miranda's Gnocchi (dumplings? how high were you) of course holds it down with its deliberate and sinister vibe and Time Slices is probably my favorite Hux Flux track. But the surprise could be Raia who fall into the one and done category, making a very spiral heavy goa track only to disappear. Encens at this time seemed to be in their experimental period yet still managed to deliver those liquid bass sounds. The rest is a lot of effects thrown over a bass line and percussive bangings. Not bad but not essential obviously. Mdk
