Guest Deku81
Shiva Chandra - Lunaspice Artist: Shiva Chandra Title: Lunaspice Label: Spirit Zone Date: 1999 Track listing: 01. 09'12" Cotani 02. 06'41" Reorganic 03. 08'32" Triphase 04. 07'36" @ Om 05. 08'22" Ancamelis 06. 08'45" Metasynth 07. 07'55" Electric Blue 08. 07'38" Animalectro 09. 08'14" Skydiving Review: This album is different from the ordinary psy trance album. At first I didn't like it all but now I have listened to it many times and I find it very good. This is the third album from the german guy Daniel Vernunft (I think it's the third), and it's different from Spicey Moments, but it's the same sound as Positive. It has even got the same samples on some songs. All the tracks reaches from 137 to 143 BPM except the last two tracks that are more ambient style. I was in Copenhagen once when Shiva Chandra played live but that was not a great experience. He played almost every track from this album so I noticed that the songs are not very enjoyable on the dancefloor. Maybe at the start of a party but not in the middle of it. If you liked Positive I think you should listen to this album. Best songs are Cotani, Reorganic, @-om and Electric Blue. Sky diving is a nice ending that's great for chill-out. Guest Psylent Buddhi
Damn, this album is actually stunning! Definitely not the usual psytrance sound, but after some listening this is one trippy experience!! And I have to mention the last two dub/chill-out tracks, they really stand out. They're just fucking excellent. Damn I was blown away by those two tracks. If you're looking for something a little different, then get this NOW!!! Guest mikrozomme[at]bgvirtual[dot]zzn[
This is the higher state of Daniel's works. There is not a bad song inside the album.Mathematically programmed beats and sounds, hidden melodies and other mellow tunes -I think that "Lunaspice" is almost perfect!I can even say that D.Vernuft is one of the most Intelligent music producers I have ever listened to.Among my favorite tracks are:"Cotani"(quite a good sample),"Reorganic"(funny vox),"@-om"(super melody coming suddenly),"Animalectro"(that's a fine exemple of electro) and the others.Listen to it and get in Eden. For this is a psychedelic lesson! Bor
I've just bought the vinyl version of this cd. The cover is EVEN cooler than the one on the cd, but the cd contains more tracks. The (double) LP only have 6 tracks, but is still rocks!! PSYCHEDELICATESSEN! )))

seraph
One of the best covers but not that rich album though...I expected more hearing couple of songs from SPICY MOMENTS that were that, spicy and juicy and liquidy...This is more progressive with some very good psychedelic moments but all in all not that interesting unfortunately...Best moments : 1,8,9...5.5/
Guest [Anonymous]
one of the fattest, most pounding psychedelic wonders avaliable! Only problem is he has lost his way - the live performance I witnessed early this year (2002) sounded like a totally different artist - very boring
Guest Davidtolsn
shiva chandra is one of those artists that seems to constantly evolve. each cd gets closer to the refined, atmospheric pounding minimal sound. however, this isn't close enough to it yet to be very good, although it's getting there. the psychedelic sounds are generally boring and repetitive, and the beats usually aren't hard enough to interest me. best tracks are 3, 6, and 7, and the only bad track is 2. 7/
